My family and I just came back from Tennessee... We were very satisfied for all the great adventures and the great experience we had. Sunny our tour guide made this experience unforgettable.

Heeey y'all, say yeeeehaaaw!!It was an amazing 2,000 miles, 10 states trip! We crossed New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee all in 4 days! The main emphasis was on Washington, D.C. where we saw beautiful cherry blossoms, Tennessee where we spent two days enjoying the bliss of country music, The Great Smoky Mountains, and the locals referring to us as and responding with Virginia that always fascinates with its fresh air, beautiful caverns, and nature. It wasn't easy, it was tough, long journey but it was interesting, beautiful, and definitely worth it! This is our third time traveling with taketours.com and certainly not the last! Caring and knowledgeable tour guides make all the difference‚ happy spring break 2018
Sunny (Xiao Shen) was very knowledgeable and helpful. He is also very funny and cheerful. My parents are very hard to please and yet they like him a lot. The driver (Xiao Bai) drives very well and stable as well.
All the tours recommended, we enjoyed the natural stone bridge the most, and rock city garden is beautiful.
Dixie Stampede, I guess is a must see to experience the western culture. The only activity that I think should be excluded is the Incline Railway, especially when the whole ride is only in English, which doesn't work for those who doesn't understand.
The trip to Tennessee was great. Our tour guide Sunny, i can tell that he's so perfect. He does his job by heart,he care every details of our group. He told every small things in detail.I was so lucky to have him as my guide and also others people in this group:)
We had a good trip. Aaron, the guide was good. Only minuses were that no time was planned among the cherry blossoms. We reached Jefferson Memorial and rushed to the cruise. Instead there could have been time planned to enjoy the blossoms. And the second was that the bus a/c wouldn't work on day 3. But they arranged alternative the next day.
Tour guide, Xinyao, and driver, Scott, were excellent and have a great sense of humor. Our trip to Niagara Falls as well as the other places we visited were ready to accommodate all of us. We were able to see all attractions because of Xinyao and driver Scott's great planning strategies to be on time. Thank you!
We are already planning our next TakeTours vacation!
We did the October 24th trip, and enjoyed our vacation very much. Our guide, Ken, was very methodical, friendly, and understanding. He managed the itinerary and the distance, including night stops and breaks very well. He wad great with the planning and execution. Our driver, Kent, was a focused and a great driver. With such a long journey, he made is seem less.
The itinerary was great too. The first day was New York to Virginia to visit Luray Caverns. The night's stay was somewhere in Virginia. The second day was Smoky and Gatlinburg. The Dixie Stampede was okay, but since it is a must see for the Pigeon Forge area, I was okay with it.
The third day was Chattanooga that included Rock Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Incline Railway. The last day we were back in Virginia to see Natural Bridge and then drive back to New York.
I do recommend this trip especially with Ken and Kent. The food stops were good. The trip was hectic on day 2 but we still enjoyed our vacation.
If you are a nature lover...this is the perfect and right tour for you, I went with my friend and we absolutely love it... the itinerary is a little busy but it is worthy for all the places you get to know, recomended 100%
I had booked this tour for my mom & dad. They absolutely loved the trip. The itinerary was a little hectic but the places that they covered made the trip totally worth it.My parents are insisting that everytime they visit, they will take a trip with taketours to different places. The tour guide was Ken and he was amazingly helpful & informative. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. Thanks TakeTours.
I went to this trip with my parents. Guide Emily is wonderful.
We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of smoky mountain. She guided us very well in terms of timings and things to enjoy like 'moonshine' in Tennesse!
This trip was absolutely the best trip i have taken in a long time. The places we visited were amazing and unforgettable. Every place had its beauty. Emily, the tour lady, is the best! She is helpful and funny! The scenery is peaceful and relaxing. Overall visit! You will not regret it :)
The tour itinerary says a lot, enough that you get tempted to go for this trip. But my practical experience says much more than the itinerary. I went on this trip with my wife and indeed we had a great time. We went to many places which were totally new and different for us.
Shenandoah Cavern, Ruby Falls were one of a kind where we got a chance to see things deep under the ground surface. Dixie Stampede at pigeon forge, Gatlinburg downtown were nice in giving a true sense of southern culture. We personally liked the culture very much. Ole Smoky Moonshine was another attraction for us. :)
Our tour guide Amelyn was superb in co-ordinating everybody in the bus. She is highly professional and friendly. We had a cross cultural company in the bus which was never a problem.
All is all it was a good trip for us as we wanted to see many things is short period of time.
I recommend this trip to all those who want to take some time off from their busy schedule and looking for a short break.
I enjoy this tour, and like my tour guide Amelyn, she can make us sing :)and guide us with fun way :). I like Ruby Falls, Shenandoah Cavern n Natural Bridge , one of my favorite tour, I met fun, funny and nice people and become friends in this tour :)
We just arrived from the tour today 07.28.2013. My family and I had a very awesome experience at a very
affordable price. Highly recommended for people who don't have the energy to drive long distances and
who don't have time to plan their itineraries......
I lost track of how many times I've said "Woowwww!!" during this tour. We loved our tour guide, Emily.
She was energetic and pretty much knew what she was doing. Thumbs up to George, who drove us for
hours and hours and still managed to smile and say hello everytime. Emily did a great job in this tour. She
asked everyone which spots were the favorites of each passenger, and she also made some passengers
sing! (including herself, ha!) That was fun and very entertaining. And I believe, everyone enjoyed it very
much. As for the included spots in this tour, I say they were all worth it (I personally LOVED Shenandoah
caverns and Ruby Falls). This is more of a nature tour with indescribably beautiful views. It was relaxing
and very fun at the same time. Then the Dixie stampede show is a must watch... Enough time was provided
to us at each of the attractions by our tour guide Emily. I have been on one more tours with L& L travels
but have not come across such a tour guide. She is so patient , friendly in nature , knowledgeable, had
idea in detail about all the attractions....very lively.Although she was bitten by a spider she managed to
guideus, take care of us very well... We did not come to know the travel distance with her presence as she
kept all the people in the bus connected... You may also get a chance to meet people from all over the
world!Everyone was extremely nice and friendly. We got a chance to take a group picture which was very
good.Only problem was the food as my parents are completely vegetarian and they only stop where
chinese buffet place.Overall So yes, I do recommend this tour! It was very much worth it!
I lost track of how many times I've said "Woowwww!!" during this tour. I personally prefer exploring places by myself rather than going on bus tours but my friend and I were definitely not disappointed! We loved our tour guide, Amelyn. She was energetic and pretty much knew what she was doing. Thumbs up to Dave, who drove us for hours and hours and still managed to smile and say hello everytime. Also, to our "guest" tour guide, Jin, who had a very lovely singing voice (haha!). Amelyn did a great job in this tour. She asked everyone which spots were the favorites of each passenger, and she also made some passengers sing! (including herself, ha!) That was fun and very entertaining. And I believe, everyone enjoyed it very much. As for the included spots in this tour, I say they were all worth it (I personally LOVED Shenandoah caverns and Rock City). This is more of a nature tour with indescribably beautiful views. It was relaxing and very fun at the same time. You may also get a chance to meet people from all over the world! We met a very nice family from Syria with two very lovely girls! We also met a Romanian now based in New York who traveled alone. So yes, I do recommend this tour! It was very much worth it!
The trip to Tennessee was great...The attractions were so fantastic (ruby falls,Shenandoah caves, natural bridge , smoky mountains, rock city), its all natural beauty...I liked them all... In addition to this the engineering marvel the incline railway was amazing... Then the Dixie stampede show is a must watch... Enough time was provided to us at each of the attractions by our tour guide Emily. I have been on couple of tours with L& L travels but have never come across such a tour guide. She is so patient , friendly in nature , knowledgeable, had idea in detail about all the attractions....very lively. We did not come to know the travel distance with her presence as she kept all the people in the bus connected...
The only difficulty we faced was the bus,it was a mini bus and quiet uncomfortable in terms of seating arrangement...I would recommend this tour ,people should go and watch the scenic beauty...
We just arrived from the tour today
06.02.2013. My family and I had a very awesome experience at a very affordable price. Highly recommended for people who don't have the energy to drive long distances and who don't have time to plan their itineraries.
The attractions were well selected and truly spectacular especially the Rock City and Shenadoah Caverns. Dining at the Dixie Stampede is a must...a truly unique experience.
We commend the lively, attentive, accommodating, patient, knowledgeable, tour guide Miss Ammelyn Ong despite some unavoidable circumstances.
It is also fun to meet people from all the world. Kind gestures were exchanged despite some language barriers.
We also commend the driver Mr Reuben for his safe driving skills.
I am very satisfied and pleased with this tour. We had a great , familiar atmosphere, which was invented by our guide Emilyn, and I was lucky enough to have a group , who shared and joined this atmosphere. Emilyn did tell us a lot about our sightseeing attractions on the way and also about some history of the states we visited. Evereything was held in two languages - English and Chinese.
I strongly recommend Ruby Falls, which amazed me the most, Lookout Mountain to feel a great space and see a wide view there , Dixie Stampede to join an original show of Tennesse story according to Dolly Parton and her childhood. I would also recommend a Natural Bridge , which was so much vibrating with different energies, they say the wishes come true, if you say them there.
I gave for transportaion only 3*** as we got a minibus of a poor quality, but our great driver did the most of it.
Accomodation mostly in Quality Inn , which was pretty good, only the second night was in a worse hotel - quite wet after a tornado, would recommend to change it.
We had also many stops on the way , so those with children should not have hesitations.
we took this tour during 4th July week this year and enjoyed it thoroughly- Jason- our tour guide was very helpful as was the bus driver- we saw a lot in the limited time we had- will recommend this to our friends
The 5 of us had a fantastic time. Our tour guide Emily did a great work leading the group and managed various situations efficiently and smoothly. The best tour guide and driver we've had out of all our experiences with taketours so far.
I would recommend this tour to all. A fantastic journey through the most beautiful nature creations (lost sea, ruby falls, great smoky mountains, natural bridge, Shenandoah caves) combined with some human engineering brilliance (incline rail, gatlinburg rope way) and some fun filled country side entertainment ( Dixie Stampede). You can't expect things to get any better with some nice comfortable hotels to stay at and a very scenic drive. Our co-passengers were very nice & friendly, our driver (Raf) was simply awesome and our tour guide ( Emily) was simply the best. Special thanks to Emily for making this tour so fun filled, interesting and taking special care of each one of us.
We had an awesome experience! We love this Virginia & Tennessee tour. The Dixie Stampede was spectacular, lots of country music and good food. The caverns and rock city were all fantastic works of nature. Hotels are very good with free breakfast. The driver drove us safely and we had a very energetic and excellent tour guide Emily. I will definitely recommend this to all my friends. To Emily, good job!
Well planned: this trip was worth the money spent. It was well planned and the tourist guide was a like father to us, he would give wake up calls in the hotel room so that we are on time for the attractions. We did not have to wait in the line for the tickets; he would stop the bus at spots where there is more than one place to eat, if in case you do not like Chinese food everyday. Majority of people were Chinese in the trip, I wish in future we stop at at least one time in India restaruant, since there is a couple of Indians on road trip.
This is the best tour experience that we have had with TakeTours. The guides Peng and Dean need special mention. They were so informative, supportive and understanding. not to mention well planned and organized. When one of our plans changed unexpectedly, they immediately re-allocated that time for shopping which gave even more happiness. They even found time to take us to Luray caverns which was not part of the plan. The whole point of spending money is to find happiness and we got tons of it through this tour. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
Excellence in execution --> Nothing more to explain the wonderful trip that we have had. Everything from Start of the Trip one fine morning in China Town on Sep-1 till the time we landed back at our place , its been absolutely engrossing. Special mention to Emily and the supporting staff. They have been extremely helpful; not to forget the patience and knowledge. On a whole , this trip has been great. Suitable for a family who wish to enjoy a tension-less 4 days. Starting from Shenandoah Caverns to a Cowboy movie like Gatlinburg Town, to a magnificent Dinner show , to God's wonderful creations (Ruby Falls, Lost Sea, Rock City), Incline Railways and last but not the least... a nature - made bridge. The food across the trip was excellent; the ambience in the bus, the stay .. cannot compare. In all, we have enjoyed every part of this trip and would like to recommend this to all who wants to have a take-off from their busy schedule. Emily, Support staff, great job and thanks for helping us spend enough time in all of the attractions.
It was a very awesome nature adventure trip!!! It is worth to take 2 days off from work just to be refresh and appreciate God's wonderful creation. Emily is an awesome tour guide and we had fun in our long trip back to NYC because some of the people who got on the bus late for our last attraction got punished....they will either sing or tell a good joke. lol. And most of the people really do it. I commend the drivers too because they drove us safely through the heavy pouring rain and a heavy fog that you cant even see the road anymore. I recommend this nature trip to nature lovers. =)
Had a great time! Bus was really comfortable and very relaxing between attractions. Caves (Shenandoah, Ruby Falls, Lost Sea etc.) were fantastic and quite a different tour experience from your typical above-ground attractions. The dinner show was corny but lots of fun. Hotels were confortable and clean - many with free breakfast. Remarkably good value. Emily was a great tour guide!
I really enjoyed this trip. Everything was perfect, the bus tour, the coordination, the bus, driver and not to forget our Guide. I think its because of the Driver and the Guide (Emily) that we were able to cover almost 8-9 attractions in 4 days. Though it is a 4 day tour but it was worth spending time to watch beautiful places from Rock City to Lost Sea and the best part was the dinner show... it was a wonderful experience to eat with 2000 people while you are watching the horse riding, pig races, beautiful fairies... :-) In all I am happy that I planned to take this trip with my parents .
The Tennessee tour was a pleasant one...it was a long journey..all the way till the border of Georgia , but I enjoyed every bit of it, specially the Ruby Falls and the Natural Bridge.
The Hotels were good. The tour guide Emily was excellent and a good organizer. Full marks to her and the driver Mr.Koster who drove so well all the way.
It was really awesome. Especially our tour guide Jason and diver was fantastic. Jason was cooperative and an energetic guy, all the time he had a smiling face. The only thing I did get was our hotels after 9 p.m. the hotels had facilities swimming pools and a jacuzzi. We could spare some times in swimming pools.
The tour covered a lot of ground in 4 days and the tour guide Maggie did a great job in including all participants, especially those that did not speak Chinese. If you enjoy caverns and natural settings, definitely recommend this trip.
This was an awesome trip.. I am really considering going again. At first I wasn't sure if the bus ride was going to be bearable but I honestly didn't even feel it. Neither did my little cousin who usually gets motion sickness. The views were just incredible.
Fantastic tour. Very knowledgable tour guide named George. The hotel in Tennessee was very good. Luxury caverns, ruby falls were a memorable sight. The Dixie stampede dinner show was spectacular. My wife loved the tour as well!
We had a good time with this tour...it was a little bit tiring but it was really worth it seeing spectacular places.
Also, the tour guide, Emily was so awesome and dedicated to her job. She really is the best tour guide we've ever had. Keep up the good work Emily and we look forward to having you again in our next adventure.
nicely organized - a lot of sight seeings in a relatively short period. very beautiful nature wonders, especially the Virginia cave, ruby fall and rock mountains. Our tour guide, Mr. King, has good experiences, handle various situations smoothly and extremely helpful.
