    Ottawa - Montreal (166 km)

    In the afternoon, we will depart from Ottawa and travel to Montreal, where we will spend some free time exploring the city after checking into our downtown hotel, nearby Saint-Catherine Street, Chinatown, the Old City, and the Old Port.

      Montreal, Quebec is the second-largest city in Canada, and the center of French Canadian culture. Called "Canada's Cultural Capital," Montreal offers much to see and do, whether you are looking to explore history or the arts.

      Old Montreal

      The neighborhood in Montreal, Quebec known as "Old Montreal" is the oldest area of the city, with some structures dating as far back as New France settlements. The area contains many museums as well as sightseeing opportunities.

      Saint Catherine Street

      St. Catherine Street is the main commercial street in Montreal, housing countless stores and other entertaining venues, such as Ogilvy's Department Store and the Montreal Forum.

    Montreal - Quebec City - Montreal (232 km)

    In the morning, we will drive to Quebec City, where we will visit the famous Ice Hotel, which inspired the beloved Disney movie Frozen. After lunch, we will go to the Capital Observatory to take in a magnificent panoramic view of the city. Then, we will have free time to walk around the Old City, where we can see the Place d'Arms, Chateau Frontenac, the Parliament Building, Petit Champlain Street, and Place Royal. Between January 13th and February 25th, 2017, we will also have the option of stopping by the Quebec Winter Carnival, where we can partake in a variety of outdoor activities. In the late afternoon, we will depart for Montreal.
    • Quebec City, QC

      Quebec City is one of the oldest cities in North America. It was founded by Samuel de Champlain in 1608, and some of the architecture in Old Quebec dates back centuries. The Chateau Frontenac is the most famous landmark.

      Ice Hotel

      The Hotel de Glace just outside Quebec City is the only Ice Hotel in North America. This amazing architectural achievement is reconstructed every winter entirely out snow and ice. There is even an ice chapel in which weddings are hosted.

      Observatoire de la Capitale

      On the top floor of the Marie-Guyart, a 31-story building in Quebec City, is the Observatoire de la Capitale. The Observatoire lets visitors look out on Quebec City from a height of 725 feet in the air.

      Place d'Armes

      The Place d'Armes is a public square in Quebec City. At its center stands a large Gothic fountain, which was made as a tribute to the arrival of the Recollet Franciscan monks, the first missionaries to come to the area.

      Chateau Frontenac

      The Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac is a famous grand hotel and a National Historic Site of Canada. The hotel, which is essentially a castle, sits on a hilltop in the city, and is perhaps the most-photographed hotel in the world.

      Parliament Building

      This impressive and breathtaking Second-Empire-style building is home to all of the governmental functions of Quebec. Construction on the imposing building took ten years beginning in 1877. The buildings is surrounded by statues of famous Quebecois.

      Petit Champlain

      Petit Champlain is a neighborhood in Quebec City, Canada. It is located in the district of Vieux-Quebec-colline in the borough of La Cite-Limoilou, near Place Royale. It is the oldest commercial district in North America.

      Place Royale

      Place Royale is a historic square located in the Lower Town area of Old Quebec. It was established as a trading post by Samuel de Champlain, the founder of Quebec City, and is now an important cultural site.

      Quebec Winter Carnival

      Each year at the end of January, this festival celebrates French Canadian culture. There are a wealth of fun activities to enjoy, like parades, sleigh and canoe races, a snow sculpture contest, and a masquerade ball.

    After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Old Port of Montreal. Then, we will visit the Olympic Stadium and Tower. After that, we will visit the Biodome. After lunch, we will travel to Ottawa.
