Guests will be picked up from their hotels in Paraty to begin this tour. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations. We will drive down rugged roads in a jeep as we seek out the beautiful cascading waterfalls of Serra da Bocaina National Park. Our first stop will be an exhibit about the history of Brazil's Gold Trail. Then, we will pass Toboga Falls and Tarza Falls on our way to Engenho D'ouro, a cachaça distillery. We will have the chance to taste the many different varieties of cachaca. After this, we will hop back in the jeep for a short ride to a great local restaurant. After lunch we can take a refreshing dip to cool off in these pristine waters. Among the beautiful flora of Paraty we'll see trees like the Jequitiba, one of the largest trees in the region, the Brazillian Bamboo, Bromeliads, and much more! Our next stop will be the Murycana Farm, also a cachaca distillery. Our final stop will be the Bromeliad Exhibition where we will see more than 300 species of beautiful plants. Upon leaving the exhibition, our tour will finish by driving back to town.
