Itinerary

Day 1:Zurich - Mount Rigi - Rigi Kaltbad(37 km)

Our journey will start with a scenic drive over the Albis Pass, through beautiful countryside and along the Lake of the Four Cantons to Weggis. Here we will board the aerial cable car to Rigi Kaltbad where you change to mountain railway up to Rigi-Kulm. We will enjoy incredible panoramic view over the Swiss-Midland, the Alps and the 13 lakes around, hike one of the many well-prepared trails. In the afternoon check in at Hotel Rigi Kaltbad. Spoil yourself in the Mineral Bath & Spa. In the evening, in the restaurant SunSet, enjoy a 4-course selection dinner. (Admittance to Spa area for adult's only; opening hours from 11 am until 7 pm)

Day 2:Rigi Kaltbad - Lucerne - Zurich(63 km)

After a rich breakfast buffet, we could try the Mineral Bath which opens exclusively for hotel guests at 9 am. Around mid-day, take the cogwheel train down to Vitznau where we will take a one-hour cruise to Lucerne. Then we will stroll in the Old Town, see the Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church and the Lion Monument. We could also visit the Swiss Museum of Transport or for art-lovers the Rosengart Museum with works of the famous artists Picasso and Paul Klee. In the evening, we will drive back to Zurich.

  • Chapel Bridge
    This covered bridge that crosses the Reuss River in Lucerne is one of Switzerland's main tourist attractions. The interior of the bridge contains several paintings which were completed in the 17th century.
  • Jesuit Church
    The Lucerne Jesuit Church is a Catholic church in Lucerne, Switzerland.It is the first large baroque church built in Switzerland north of the Alps.Construction on the associated church began in 1667. By 1673 the shell of the church and the main façade were completed. The church was consecrated in 1677, though the interior was not yet really finished. Several side altars were still missing and even the high altar was only erected four years later, due to financial problems. The onion topped towers were not completed until 1893. The vault was redecorated in the mid-18th century. The original vestments of Brother Klaus, a famous Swiss patron, are stored in the inner chapel
  • Lion Monument
    The Lion of Lucerne is an amazing sculpture carved directly into a cliffside in one of Switzerland's most gorgeous cities. It was done to commemorate the deaths of Swiss soldiers who were brutally massacred during the bloody French Revolution.
  • The Swiss Transport Museum
    The Swiss Transport Museum opened in July 1959 and exhibits all forms of transport, including locomotive, automobiles,ships, and aircraft as well as communication technology. It is Switzerland's most popular museum. The museum also maintains a large collection of work by Hans Erni, a local painter and sculptor.
  • Rosengart Collection
    A Lucerne museum showcasing Picasso's late works & 20+ masterpieces by Klee, plus Impressionist gems by Monet, Renoir, and Cezanne. Housed in a neoclassical bank building, it offers an intimate art experience.
