Day 1:Corcovado, Christ the Redeemer, and Sugarloaf

Meals: Meal: Excluded

The highlight of the morning is the visit to Sugar Loaf Mountain, where a two-step cable car ride takes you to the summit at 395 meters. From here, you'll enjoy unparalleled views of Copacabana Beach, Niteroi, and Guanabara Bay, with plenty of time to capture stunning photos. After descending, a traditional Brazilian barbecue lunch awaits at a churrascaria, offering a variety of meats and vegetarian options (if selected).

In the afternoon, the tour continues to the legendary Maracanã Stadium, where you'll take a panoramic lap around the iconic venue and imagine the historic moments that have unfolded there since its opening in 1950. Next, you'll board a train at Cosme Velho station for a 20-minute ride through the lush Tijuca Rainforest to Corcovado Mountain. Here, the towering Christ Redeemer Statue stands at 38 meters tall, offering sweeping views of Rio and a sense of awe as you explore the site, now one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

As the day winds down, you'll return to your hotel while learning about Rio's economy, its World Cup history, and life in the favelas. This comprehensive tour ensures you experience the best of Rio de Janeiro - its landmarks, history, lifestyle, and cuisine - all in one unforgettable day. Be sure to select the option that suits your preferences, as tickets and lunch can be included or arranged separately.

  • Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Usually referred to simply as "Rio," this Brazilian coastal city is famous for its annual Carnival celebration. Rio de Janeiro sees millions of tourists every year, more than any other South American city.
  • Christ the Redeemer
This statue is, above all else, the main symbol of Rio de Janeiro. Built on the top of Corcovado, a mountain that hovers above the city, the statue depicts Christ with his arms extended in a welcoming gesture.
  • Maracana Stadium (Outside Visit)
A football stadium opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup. The Maracana was partially rebuilt in preparation for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, and the 2014 World Cup, for which it hosted several matches, including the final. It also served as the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2016 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
  • Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian
A remarkable departure from the usual neoclassical designs of many of the country's churches, Rio's Saint Sebastian Cathedral is incredibly modern: it resembles a cone without the tip, taking some inspiration from Mayan pyramids.
  • Corcovado
The name of this mountain is Portuguese for "hunchback," a reference to the lopsided shape. At the peak lies the Christ the Redeemer statue, the most iconic symbol of Rio de Janeiro.
