Spend a day learning about the fascinating history of the American navy. The USS Midway Museum is a maritime museum located on the Navy Pier in downtown San Diego, CA. Much like the Intrepid in New York City, the museum consists of a decommissioned aircraft carrier that has been adapted into an educational facility. It served from 1942 until until 1992, and its sixty years on the battlefield have earned it the honor of having the longest service of any single warship in the 20th century.

  • Operating Times: Daily: 10 am to 5 pm with last admittance at 4 pm. Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
  • Parking: Parking on Navy Pier - $10 up to 12 hours. Handicapped Parking - on Navy Pier (near the Ticket Office) is available on a first-come-first served basis, standard parking rates apply. Metered Parking - limited along N. Harbor Drive and Pacific Coast Highway at a rate of $1.25 per hour with a 2 hour limit. Large Vehicle Parking - Buses can drop groups off at our ticket office, but cannot stage on Navy Pier. Vehicles over 18' long are not allowed to park on Navy Pier.
  • Accessibility:Elevator access to Hangar Deck, Flight Deck and Mess Deck (approx 2/3 of exhibits are accessible). Virtual video tour for spaces that are not accessible by wheelchair. Complimentary loaner wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis
