Day 1:Easter Island

Upon arrival at Mataveri International Airport (IPC), our staff will greet you and transfer you to your hotel on Easter Island. You may check in and have free time. Note: Transfers between 22:00 and 07:59 incur an additional charge of USD 50 per person.

Day 2:Easter Island

Hotel: Standard: Taha-Tai or Similar Deluxe: Altiplanico Rapa-Nui or Similar
Meals: Breakfast: Included; Lunch: Included; Dinner: Excluded
After breakfast at the hotel, start your exploration of Easter Island. Visit Akahanga archaeological site, the Rano Raraku volcano quarry with numerous Moai statues, and have lunch at a picnic area on the volcano slope. Then proceed to Ahu Tongariki, the largest ceremonial platform with 15 Moai. Continue to Ahu Te Pito Kura, home to the largest Moai 'Paro' (10m, 85 tons) and the 'Navel of the World' stone. End the day at Anakena Beach with white sand and coconut palms, then return to hotel.

    Easter Island is most famous for its nearly 1,000 extant monumental statues, called moai, created by the early Rapa Nui people. It is believed that Easter Island's Polynesian inhabitants arrived on Easter Island sometime near 1200 AD. In 1995, UNESCO named Easter Island a World Heritage Site, with much of the island protected within Rapa Nui National Park.

Day 3:Easter Island

After breakfast, depart for Hanga Roa town. Visit Ana Kai Tangata cave with cave paintings of manutara birds. Then Vinapu archaeological site with precise basalt stonework. Continue to Rano Kau volcano with its beautiful lagoon. Explore Orongo village, the site of the Birdman ceremony. Then visit Ahu Akivi with seven Moai facing the sea, followed by Uri a Urenga and Puna Pau, where the red scoria topknots (pukao) were made. Return to hotel.
