Day 1:New York - Poughkeepsie - Manchester(213 miles)

Depart New York for the Hudson Valley. The Walkway Over the Hudson stretches more than a mile above the river at 212 feet — one of the world's longest elevated pedestrian bridges. We continue to Hildene in Vermont, estate of Robert Todd Lincoln (The Lincoln Family Home), where the museum holds the President's stovepipe hat and Bible, and sugar maples fill the grounds. Overnight in southern Vermont.

    Poughkeepsie, known as the "Queen City of the Hudson," is a small city along the Hudson River in New York. It is home to Vassar College, numerous art galleries, and museums.
  • Walkway Over the Hudson
    Poughkeepsie's unused suspension bridge over the Hudson River was converted to a pedestrian walkway in 2009, becoming the world's longest footbridge, and offering exquisite views of the Hudson River and surrounding areas.

    Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home is the former summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln and his wife Mary Harlan Lincoln, located at 820 Hildene Road in Manchester Chester, Vermont. Hildene is furnished almost entirely with Lincoln family furniture and contains artifacts belonging to Robert Todd Lincoln and his parents.

If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.

Additional Notes

Hotel pricing: Prices are based on two adults sharing. Single room occupancy requires an extra fee. Double, triple & quad prices are for two, three, and four people, staying in one room, respectively (including children). Each hotel room can only accommodate a maximum of 4 guests (adults or children). Each guest room comes standard with two full-sized or one queen-sized bed.
Travel documents: All customers will be responsible for providing their own travel documents and visa if required.
Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour guides and/or drivers (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
