Day 1:Paris, France - Melun, France - Fontainebleau, France(143 km)

After guests have been picked up from the specified departure location in Paris, we will drive to Melun to visit the famous chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte. Then, we will continue to Fontainebleau to visit another famous palace, the Chateau de Fontainebleau. Around 6:15pm, we will arrive back in Paris.     The history of this small French city dates back to the time of Julius Caesar. Now, it is the home of Vaux-le-Vicomte, a beautiful 17th century chateau.
  • Vaux-le-Vicomte
    This marvelous chateau to the southeast of Paris is often considered a precursor to the Palace of Versailles. It was built between 1658 and 1661 for Nicolas Fouquet.

    is a commune in the metropolitan area of Paris, France. It is located 55.5 kilometres (34.5 mi) south-southeast of the centre of Paris. Fontainebleau is a sub-prefecture of the Seine-et-Marne department, and it is the seat of the arrondissement of Fontainebleau.
  • Chateau de Fontainebleau
    located 55 kilometres (34 miles) southeast of the centre of Paris, and is one of the largest French royal and imperial chateau. The medieval castle and later chateau was the residence of French monarchs from Louis VII through Napoleon III. Napoleon I abdicated his throne there before being exiled to Elba. Today it is a national museum and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
