Itinerary

Day 1:London, United Kingdom

Guests will be picked up at their hotels in the morning and transferred to the departure location. Our first stop of the day will be Parliament Square, home of Westminster Abbey and Kensington Palace. From there, we will head to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard before we stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we will pay a visit to St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London, where will be able to see the Crown Jewels. At this point, guests can choose to end the tour now or take a River Thames Cruise, ending their tour at Westminster Pier. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

  • Parliament Square
    This large open area outside London's Palace of Westminster is one of London's main tourist spots. In addition to a grassy park with trees, it contains many monuments to famous historical figures such as Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln.
  • Kensington Palace
    Kensington Palace is one of the royal residences in London, and is today most famous as the living place of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, as well as their son George and brother Prince Harry.
  • Buckingham Palace
    One of the most famous palaces of the British monarchy, Buckingham Palace dates back to 1705. In addition to serving as a museum and art gallery, it has been the main residence of the royal family since 1837.
  • The changing of the guards
    This world-famous ceremony takes place either at Buckingham Palace or at Horse Guards Parade, depending on the day. These guards will wear red tunics and unmistakable bear skin hats, marching to Buckingham Palace.
  • St. Paul's Cathedral
    Sitting atop the highest point in London, this cathedral is woven deeply into the national identity of England. Figures such as Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher are buried here, and Princess Diana's wedding took place here, among many other occasions.
  • Tower of London
    Dating back nearly a millennia, this historic castle on the shores of the Thames in London has served many important functions throughout history. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a museum that is open to the public.
  • Thames River Cruise
    The River Thames is iconic, a symbol of the city that it cuts through. Now you can take a cruise on the waters of the river and see some of the most iconic locations in London.

Additional Notes

St Paul's Cathedral is closed to visitors on Sundays and during special events. On these days, we will stop for photographs outside St Paul's Cathedral and spend longer at the Tower of London
The Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace currently takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (subject to availability). If there is no Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace we see the Changing of the Guard at Horse Guards Parade instead
Guests wanting to spend longer at the Tower of London may use their cruise ticket on another day (please check the validity of your boat ticket with your guide)
Please note that there are quite a few stairs within the White Tower at the Tower of London and there is currently no disabled access.
