  • 08:30 – Gather in Munich.

  • 11:45 – Depart for Oberammergau, renowned worldwide for the frescoes adorning its buildings—hence its nickname “the fresco village.”

  • 13:30 – Arrive at the Neuschwanstein Castle ticket office to exchange vouchers, then have lunch.

  • 14:15 – Go up to tour the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle, the inspiration for Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle.

  • 16:30 – Return to Munich, where the tour concludes at 18:30.

Note: If the Neuschwanstein Castle ticket time is in the morning, the order will be reversed: visit the castle first, then after lunch proceed to Linderhof Palace and Oberammergau.

  • Schwangau, Germany
The village lies 4 km from the larger town of Füssen and just 1.5 km from Hohenschwangau, a collection of tourist-oriented facilities adjacent to the major tourist attractions of Schloss Neuschwanstein and Schloss Hohenschwangau.
  • Neuschwanstein Castle
This castle rises high above the village of Hohenschwangau in Bavaria. Commissioned by Ludwig II in 1869, it was intended as a refuge for this reclusive king, but opened to the public after his death in 1886.
  • Oberammergau, Germany
Oberammergau, or Upper Ammer Vale, is a municipality in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Bavaria, Germany. The small town on the Ammer River is known for its woodcarvers and woodcarvings, for its NATO School, and across the world for its 380-year tradition of mounting Passion Plays.
