Passengers will be picked up from certain Miami hotels in the morning. Our first stop will be
Everglades National Park where we will take an
Airboat Ride. Airboats or fanboats are large, flat-bottom boats propelled by a giant fan that sits in the back. They are popular in the Florida Everglades because the very shallow water of the swamps makes traditional underwater propellers impractical and in some cases downright impossible to use. Airboat tours allow visitors to see otherwise inaccessible parts of this impressive national park.
We will then return to Miami for a Cruise of Biscayne Bay. Florida's Biscayne Bay is a lagoon that stretches 35 miles along the Florida coastline. Boat tours out of Miami offer views not just of the city and coastline, but several sights that can only truly be appreciated from the water. Tours pass by "Millionaire's Row," a collection of celebrity homes owned by people such as Shaquille O'Neal. In addition, guests can visit "Stiltsville," the remains of an oceantop settlement from the 1930s.
At the end of the tour, we will return to the pickup points. See "Departure and Return Details" for more information.
