    Day 1

    Reykjavik

    These self-driving tours begin either in Reykjavik or the Keflavik International Airport. After guests arrive at the airport, they will pick up their car and drive to the hotel. Then, they will have the rest of the day free at their own leisure to explore Reykjavik. Those who arrive early can pay a visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon.

    Day 2

    Golden Circle (149 km)

    Today, we will go on a drive around the Golden Circle, Iceland?s most popular tourist route. We will begin with Thingvellir National Park, where we can see the Almannagja gorge and go snorkeling in the Silfra fissure. Next, we will see Geysir in the Haukadalur geothermal valley. In this area, we will see many streaming hot springs and fumaroles, including the geyser Strokkur. Afterwards, we will reach the Gullfoss waterfalls and go snowmobiling or horseback riding on the Langjokull glacier. We can also make a stop at Lake Kerio, a volcanic crater.
    • Golden Circle, ICELAND

      Iceland's Golden Circle is the country's most popular tourist route, featuring several of the top geological formations in the country, such as the geysers of Strokkur and Geysir, as well as the Gullfoss waterfall.

      Geysir

      Considered the first geyser discovered by modern Europeans, the eruptions of Geysir can send boiling water up to 70 meters in the air. Only 50 meters away is Strokkur, another famous Icelandic geyser.

      Strokkur

      Merely a stone's throw from it's sibling, Geysir, Strokkur is a fountain geyser near the Hvita River. It erupts every 8-10 minues, averaging about 15-20 meters high each time.

      Gullfoss

      This waterfall in southwest Iceland is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. It is a multi-tiered waterfall, which all empties into a crevice 32 meters deep.

    Day 3

    Selfoss - Vik (113 km)

    Today, we will drive towards Eyjafjallajokull, a volcano underneath a glacier. Then, we will see the waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss before taking a brief detour in the Skogar Folk Museum. Next, we will drive along the Solheimajokull glacier and be able to take an optional glacier hike or snowmobiling tour. We can also choose to visit an ice cave before departing from Vik. We will take a jeep ride up the volcano Katla before descending into a cave within the Myrdalsjokull glacier. After that, we will enjoy the black sand beach Reynisfjara.

      This waterfall in Iceland is situated between the town of Selfoss and another waterfall, Skogafoss. At a height of 200 feet, it marks where the coastline of Iceland once was thousands of years ago.

      This waterfall in Iceland lies along the Skoga River where it once drained into the sea. The cliff at the top of the waterfall marks where the old coastline of Iceland was.

      Reynisfjara

      The southern coast of Iceland contains a unique surprise for visitors: black sand beaches, formed due to the region's volcanic activity. Reynisfjara in particular has been called the coolest beach in the country.

    Day 4

    Vatnajokull National Park - Jökulsárlón (36 km)

    Today, we will set out for the Foss a Síđu waterfall and the nearby Dverghamrar basalt columns before driving along the road across the vast glacial sands of Skeidararsandur. Next on our route is the Skaftafell Nature Reserve, part of Vatnajokull National Park. There are plenty of opportunities to go hiking in the area, including a walk along the edge of a glacier. After that, we will continuing driving east to the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon, where we will be able to board a boat tour of the area. We will also be nearby Diamond Beach.

      Skaftafell

      A preservation area in southeast Iceland. It used to be a manor farm and a national park, but has been a part of Vatnajökull National Park since its establishment in 2008.
    • Jokulsarlon, ICELAND

      A large glacial lake in southeast Iceland, on the edge of Vatnajokull National Park. Situated at the head of the Breioamerkurjokull glacier, it developed into a lake after the glacier started receding from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

    Reykjavik (52 km)

    Today, we will return to Reykjavik. In the afternoon, we will check into our hotel and explore the city for a bit before visiting the mystical Blue Lagoon for a relaxing hot spring bath.
    • Reykjanes Peninsula, ICELAND

      The Reykjanes Peninsula is most popularly known for the Keflavik International Airport and Blue Lagoon. A geothermal area, Reykjanes offers access to a wide array of activities including caves, hot springs, restaurants, museums, lighthouses, festivals, and dramatic landscape.

      Blue Lagoon

      Warm up in the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spalocated in a lava field in southwestern Iceland, in Grindavik. Visitors can swim and relax in mineral rich water, said to have health benefits, in temperatures averaging 37-39'C (99-102'F).

    Reykjavik

    Today, guests will drive to the airport to drop their cars off and board their departure flights. If their flight is in the late afternoon or evening, they can exploer for a little while before heading to the airport. They can see Hallskrimskirkja, Ellidarardalur Park, Grotta Lighthouse, the Blue Lagoon and more.

      Luxury: A large sized jeep with 4WD (4x4) such as Toyota Land Cruiser or similar, fit for nearly all traveling. This vehicle has full highland capabilities to drive on accessible mountain roads.

    Cancellation Policy:
    • You can cancel your multi day tour up to 7 days before departure and receive an 85% refund. The 15% service fee is to cover our cost of planning and arrangement. You can not cancel any individual services within a package within 7 days before departure.
    • You can cancel your car rental reservation up to 24 hours before departure and receive a full refund.
    • If we cancel your tour due to weather conditions or any other circumstances you will always receive a full refund. If a volcanic eruption stops you from getting to Iceland you will also receive a full refund on tours.
