Today, we will tour the Vatican Museum complex, which includes Michelangelo's unparalleled Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms, as well as a collection of museums on very diverse subjects: displays of classical statuary, Renaissance painting, Etruscan relics, Egyptian artifacts, not to mention the furnishings and decoration of the palace itself. After visiting the Sistine Chapel, the visit continues with a tour of St. Peter's Basilica.

    In terms of combined annual visitors, this museum complex, owned and operated by the Catholic Church in Vatican City, is the 5th most visited museum in the world. It houses the Sistine Chapel, the iconic piece by Michelangelo.

    In 1508, Michelangelo, the famous Renaissance artist, came to Rome to pain the ceiling of this chapel in the Apostolic Palace, the residency of the Pope. The resulting mural has come to be regarded as a sublime masterpiece.

    Perhaps the most famous church in the world and the center of Roman Catholicism, this ornate basilica in the small sovereign state of Vatican City has been a place of pilgrimage for nearly two thousand years.
  • Meeting Point: At the large stairs in Via Tunisi, between the Caffe Vaticano and the Hotel Alemandi
  • Finishing Point: Tour ends at Saint Peter's Basilica, it will not be possible to come back to the Vatican Museum afterwards.

Terms & Condition

  • Cancellation Policy:
    All cancellations must arrive up to 8 days before the date of the tour to be reimbursed free of charge.
    For cancellations 8 to 2 days before the date, we retain 10% of the total fee to processing costs.
    No refund is possible for cancellations less than 2 days before your visit.
    No refunds are possible for late arrivals, getting separated from the group during the visit or not completing the visit.
    In case of cancellation of a tour by the tour operator for reasons of force majeure, clients will only be reimbursed for the amount paid for the tour. Tour operator is not responsible for any additional costs in connection with the reimbursement.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
  • Prices may vary and are subject to availability by season, weekend, and/or holiday.
  • While we will make every effort to maintain a regular operation, we reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip and issue a full refund to affected customers under special circumstances.
  • We reserve the right to modify the tour arrangements for smooth operation of the tour.

  • Maximum of 30 participants per group
  • Access to the Vatican Museum is permitted only to visitors with proper attire. Arms and legs must be covered (no shorts, tank tops, etc.)

    Apr 1 to Oct 31:
    • English: Every day except Wednesday and Sunday at 9:30am
    • Spanish: Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9.30am
    • French: Saturdays at 10.30am
    Nov 1 to Mar 31:
    • English: Every day except Wednesday and Sunday at 9:30am
    • Spanish: Saturdays at 9:30am
    • French: Saturdays at 10.30am
  • The Vatican Museums are closed on the following days:
    • Sundays (except for the last Sunday of each month, excluding Easter, June 29 and December 25 and 26)
    • January 1 and 6 (Epiphany), February 11 (Lateran Pacts Anniversary), March 19 (St. Joseph), Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, May 1 (Ascension Thursday), and May 22 (Corpus Christi Day), August 14 (Assumption Vigil), August 15 (Assumption Day), November 1 (All Saint's Day), December 8 (Feast of the Immaculate Conception), 25 (Christmas Day) and 26 (St. Stephen's Day)
