Day 1: San Francisco-Paso Robles-San Luis Obispo-Atascadero (215 miles)

In the morning, we will leave San Francisco and drive to the Central California. We will first go to Niner Wine Estates. It is a family owned, estate winery located in the Willow Creek District of beautiful Paso Robles. Then we will head to the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa. The entire resort is inspired by the on-site mineral spring water. These waters provide an authentic mineral spring experience with the power to transform your body and awaken your soul. The famous Avila Valley Barn is located near hot springs, which is a cool family farm setting with a lot of small animals about and a charming barn full of food, pastries, seasonings, gifts, etc. When night falls, we will visit a fantastic art exhibit by Bruce Munro that covers over 15 acres with lights.

    Niner Wine Estates

    Niner Wine Estates is a family owned winery and restaurant dedicated to giving you the perfect wine country experience. They are dedicated to farming sustainably and making great wines from three distinct vineyard sites: Heart Hill Vineyard in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles, Bootjack Ranch in the Geneseo District and Jespersen Ranch in the Edna Valley.

    Avila Valley Barn is a favorite place to stop off and buy the freshest fruit and vegetables grown locally, pick up a pie or bakery treat, hand feed and pet farm animals, stop off for lunch from our Smoke House and Chicken Shack or get an ice cream on the way to Avila Beach. Avila Valley Barn is truly a place built for the whole family in mind.

    The City of Atascadero is nestled right off Highway 101 and is only a twenty-minute drive from the beaches of Morro Bay, Paso Robles wine country, and the popular City of San Luis Obispo. It is a place where the arts and history thrive and the diversity of experience, generosity of spirit, and small-town ambiance is here to be enjoyed by all visitors and residents alike.


    Light at Sen­so­rio, is an immer­sive walk-through out­door exhib­it that is now per­ma­nent and will con­tin­ue in res­i­dence. We’ve recent­ly added two exhibits by inter­na­tion­al­ly acclaimed artist Bruce Munro: Fire­flies, a whim­si­cal work made up of close to 10,000 flick­er­ing points of light and Gone Fish­ing, a play­ful rep­re­sen­ta­tion of the con­tem­pla­tive act of stand­ing by a stream. These exhibits com­ple­ment the cur­rent Field of Light and Light Tow­ers – also by Munro.

Day 2: Atascadero-San Simeon-Morro Bay State Park-San Francisco (267 miles)

Today we will first visit the magnificent Hearst Castle. A jewel in San Luis Obispo County's already dazzling crown, San Simeon's Hearst Castle is a decadent and meticulously preserved hilltop estate that brings history to life. Then we will head to the Morro Bay, which is located along the northern coastline of San Luis Obispo County, the bay's most prominent landmark is Morro Rock. Finally, we will back to San Francisco.

    San Simeon is a town on the Pacific coast of San Luis Obispo County, California. Its position along State Route 1 is approximately halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, each of those cities being roughly 230 miles (370 km) away. A key feature of the area is Hearst Castle.

    Hearst Castle is a mansion located on the central coast of California that is a National Historic Landmark. Built in 1919 for William Randolph Hearst, the mansion is more than 90,000 square feet in area.

    This scenic state park is based around Morro Bay. The park's marshlands boast a thriving seabird population, and one of its selling points is amazing bird-watching. However, it is also home to beautiful bay scenery and some interesting geological features.

    Morro Rock

    This California Historical Landmark could perhaps be the most unqiue: Morro Rock in Morro Bay State Park is a massive volcanic plug located not far from shore in Morro Bay. The rock is estimated to be 23 million years old.

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking.
  • Changes to Reservations: A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary will be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15 days or more prior to departure - no penalty
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain normal operations.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Prices may vary subject to availability/season/weekend/holiday.
  • We reserve right to cancel a schedule and fully refund affected customers, although we will make every effort to maintain the regular operation.
  • We reserve the right to modify the tour arrangements for smooth operation of the tour.
  • We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
  • If the weather condition, war, general strikes, and other unforeseen circumstances interrupt the journey, our company reserves the right to rearrange the journey without refunding the tour fee.
  • Hotel Policy
    Smoking is strictly prohibited at all hotels, violation of this rule will result in a fine penalty of at least $300/person, along with other legal liabilities. One hotel room can accommodate 4 guests utmost (regardless of age). Guests need to contact the hotel and bear the fee yourselves if you require extra bed.
    Guests can check in to the hotel by tour confirmation number and valid ID.
    Note: guests cannot self-check-in in Las Vegas hotels. Please pick up room card from your tour guide.
  • The tour schedule is for reference only, tour operator may make adjustment according to the actual situation.
  • City passes are not accepted during an escorted tour due to the fact that they do not correspond into the tour schedule. The group entrance tickets provided by tour guides have fast lane and tour guides accompany passengers for activities.
