    Day 1

Bay Area - Yosemite - Fresno (524 km)

We begin our tour by visiting Yosemite National Park, world-renowned for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, and Giant Sequoia groves. Breathtaking scenes like Bridalveil Fall, with its thin, ethereal stream falling with a lightness that calls to mind the bridal veil it is named for, as well as El Capitan, the immense stone monolith, will strike you with their sheer natural power. The Merced River, which meanders through Yosemite Valley, the enormous Half Dome granite formation, and Yosemite Falls, the highest waterfall in the United States, add to the spectacular natural wonders of the park. After visiting Yosemite, we will spend the night in Fresno.

From 11/22/2012 to 3/16/2013, the itinerary will be changed to: 7-Day Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Sea World Tour from San Francisco

Standard Hotel: Holiday Inn or similar
    Day 2

Fresno - Las Vegas (653 km)

This morning, we depart for Las Vegas. On the way we will stop at an outlet mall to enjoy great discounts on popular brand labels, and then will continue on our way, arriving in Las Vegas in the early afternoon. Once we arrive, you are free to explore America’s entertainment capital at your leisure. If you can break yourself away from the shopping, fine food, and gambling which the city is known for, join us on a night tour* where we will explore the city’s night life and watch a thrilling Las Vegas show!*

Standard Hotel: Riviera, Las Vegas or similar
    Day 3

Hoover Dam - Grand Canyon South Rim - Las Vegas (989 km)

For our first tour option, we’ll make our way from Las Vegas to the Hoover Dam, a miracle of modern engineering built during the Great Depression to harness the mighty Colorado River for hydroelectric power and irrigation resources. While there, we’ll get a view of the world largest man-made lake in the world, Lake Mead, created when the dam was built. Next we’ll proceed to the spectacular Grand Canyon, where we’ll make stops at various points along its South Rim for awe-inspiring views and plenty of photo opportunities. Afterwards, we’ll return to Las Vegas for an evening filled with excitement!

OR Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon West Rim & Skywalk Glass Bridge

Our alternate tour choice also includes a stop at the Hoover Dam, but takes us to an alternate area of the Grand Canyon known as the West Rim,** part of the Hualapai Indian Reservation (note additional fee in the Exclusions section below.) From this vantage point, you can experience the thrilling Skywalk Glass Bridge , whose unique engineering makes it seem like there is nothing between you and the yawning canyon floor nearly 5000 feet below. Or, you may prefer to experience a private helicopter ride*, which will take you farther out over the rocky maze and give you a true sense of the Canyon’s vast scope.

*Optional activity; fee not included in tour price. See “Exclusions” for cost details.
**West Rim entrance fee is mandatory and not included in the tour price. See “Exclusions” for cost details.

    Las Vegas, NV

    • The beautiful Hoover Dam is located 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River. The massive concrete dam was a monumental undertaking built during the Great Depression and dedicated by Franklin Roosevelt himself.
Standard Hotel: Riviera, Las Vegas or similar
    Day 4

Las Vegas - Los Angeles (452 km)

From Las Vegas we travel to Los Angeles, the second largest city in the United States (second only to New York City) and home of Hollywood, making it one of the world’s greatest leaders of the entertainment business. After our arrival in the early afternoon, we will take a tour of the city including sights such as Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, which has been the site of three Academy Awards ceremonies and many film premieres, including that of George Lucas’ Star Wars trilogy. We will then move on to Kodak Theatre, permanent home of the Oscars and the television show American Idol, and other attractions. We will spend the night in Los Angeles.

Standard Hotel: La Quita Inn or similar
    Day 5

    Universal Studio

Today we will visit Universal Studios Hollywood,** a theme park for the biggest film studio in the world. From the tram tour of the movie-making backlot, to the thrilling simulator rides like Jurassic Park and Revenge of the Mummy, and the T2 3-D: Battle Across Time (a sequel to Terminator II which features live actors interacting with a 3-D film), it promises to be an exciting and entertaining afternoon. We will also have the opportunity to experience a simulated earthquake, view awe-inspiring stunt demonstrations, and watch the live Waterworld show and Universal’s Animal Actors show.
Standard Hotel: La Quita Inn or similar
    Day 6

    San Diego - Sea World

After breakfast, head to San Diego and enjoy the charm of the seashore of South Califonia. You may join the optional Harbor cruise tour on your own expense. Later we will visit the most famous, largest, and finest marine life park - Sea World. Watch a variety of incredible shows performed by penguins, sea lions, dolphins, mother and baby sham and much more. Also experience the all new 5 acres Lost City of Atlantis underwater ride! Return to same hotel in LA.
Standard Hotel: La Quita Inn or similar
    Day 7

Los Angeles - Beverly Hills - Santa Monica - Olvera Street - Chinatown - Bay Area (614 km)

Pass by UCLA, the famous Ivy League School in Southern California, and then enter Beverly Hills through Sunset Blvd. Visit Rodeo Drive and Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, the filming locations in the movie Pretty Woman. Stop by the famous Santa Monica beach and pier. Stroll down Olvera Street, located in the oldest part of Los Angeles, depicted by the quaintness of Mexican culture. Visit the Avila Adobe, the oldest standing residence in Los Angeles that was built in 1818. Walk into the Mexican-style marketplace filled with various leather goods, and arts and crafts made in Mexico, as if you were in a traditional Mexican town. Visit Chinatown and be enchanted by the ancient-looking gateways before heading back to the bay area.
