This tour starts through the Hajar Mountains to the township of Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. At Nizwa you will visit Nizwa Fort and the Traditional Souq. From there you will travel through the deep Wadi Ghul and arrive at Jebel Shams "Mountain of the Sun" the undisputed lord of the mountains.
Jebel Shams is the highest peak of the Jebel Al Akhdar mountain range, soaring 3,000 meters above sea level, spectacular scenery, ancient rock carvings and remote villages. This is the Grand Canyon of Oman. There will be time to experience some of the breath-taking scenery before continuing to the beautiful old village of Misfah. The village of Misfah is perched on the side of a mountain where narrow ancient stone pathways lead you into the valley below. Lunch in a local restaurant at the top of the mountain, afterwards you will explore this ancient labyrinth the region of Al Hamra before your return trip to Muscat. To experience the Grand Canyon is to experience the very best of Oman.
Running south from the Eastern Hajjar Mountains to Arabian Sea, the Wahiba Sands, described a Sand sea, stretches almost 200 kms in length and about 100 kms in width. The dunes rise above 100-150 meters in different shades of color and shifting sands, is the perfect place for both the romantic and the adventurous.

This trip departs by 4WD to Wadi Al Abyadh ( White Wadi ), where we will pass through the lush farm land and watch the roaming camels as we travel towards the distant peaks of the Hajar range which rise to more than 1000 meters. After rough riding, we will enter the outskirts of the village of Al Abyadh, where you can slip through the village and catch a glimpse of ancient cliff side houses. Soon you will reach Wadi Al ABYADH, spring filled shallows, fringed by golden sand dunes on one end and massive mountain ranges on the other, the essential criterion of a perfect tour. Wadi Bani Awf is known as one of the most fantastic tourist locations surrounding Muscat. The wadi is located about one and a half hours away from Muscat, some 43 km after Nakhl.Wadi Bani Awf is by far the most diverse and challenging Wadi. Every bend is more lush and beautiful than the next, allowing for several photogenic sceneries. Jumps into the soothing, crystal pools range from two to six meters into deep Arabian waters. Caverns add fun, mystery and extra challenges to the trek. Wadi Bani Awf also leads to the famous Snake Gorge. The name "Snake Gorge" refers to the serpentine effect created by the mountains snaking throughout the wadi. Snake Gorge is cut into the mountains and offers a fantastic 6 hour trip past waterfalls, through rocks pools and over boulders. The hike will have you jumping into pools of water and swimming in caves under the rocky mountains. Although it is a somewhat challenging hike, it is a highly inspiring one where you will be able to feel one with nature and feast your eyes on truly breathtaking sceneries.
