    Day 1

    Home - Seattle

    Upon arrival at the airport in Seattle, guests should wait for the tour guide at the Baggage Claim #8 area. Free airport pickup is available between 9:00am-10:00pm. Guests are then free to spend the rest of the day at their own leisure; they could also join an optional morning or night tour of the city. The morning tour, for flights arriving before 12:00pm, visits the Microsoft Headquarters and the campus of the University of Washington. The night tour, for flights arriving before 5:00pm, visits Starbucks Original Baked Coffee Experience Museum and Kerry Park.

      Seattle Morning Tour

      This tour covers some of the most interesting areas in Seattle, starting with Washington State University and working its way to the Microsoft Headquarters.

    Seattle - Mt. Rainier National Park - Seattle (115 miles)

    Today, we will visit Mount Rainier National Park. When we arrive, we will visit Christine Falls, Narada Falls and Paradise Road. Later, we will return to Seattle.

    Please note: Due to a severe winter weather condition, Mt. Rainier National Park has been temporarily closed from Jan 6, 2019. Instead, we will take a 1-Day shopping tour at Seattle Premium Outlets during the closure of Mt. Rainier National Park.

      Mount Rainier National Park is named for Mount Rainier itself, the tallest peak in the United States and an active volcano predicted to massively erupt sometime in the next decade. Still, more than a million people visit its slopes each year.

      If the Mt. Rainier National Park closed, we will visit Seattle Premium Outlets instead.

    Seattle City Tour

    Today, we will visit the Boeing Factory, Pike Place Market, the Space Needle and the EMP Museum. At the market, we will be able to visit the First Starbucks Store. Later, we will also visit Pioneer Square. For dinner, we will enjoy a seafood buffet.

      Pioneer Square

      Pioneer Square in southwest Seattle, Washington is both the name of a neighborhood and the name of its central square. The Pioneer Square-Skid Road Historic District is listed on the United States' National Register of Historic Places.

      Pike Place Market

      One of the oldest farmers' markets in the United States, the Pike Place Market first opened in 1909-- more than 100 years ago. The still-thriving market overlooking Elliot Bay sees more than 10 million visitors every year.

      Space Needle

      This icon of the American Northwest has adorned everything for movie screens to postage stamps. Built in 1961 for the 1962 World's Fair, the Space Needle features outdoor elevators and a rotating restaurant at its top.

      EMP Museum

      The museum is founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and designed by avant-garde architect Frank O. Gehry, located at the foot of the Space Needle. Its colorful appearance is made up by 3000 pieces of metal means to present the strength of music and the beauty of flowing.

      Boeing Factory

      Boeing is the largest aircraft manufacture in the world. At its factory you will learn the history of aircraft making and also see one of the only 4 Dream lifters in the world; there will be professional Boeing employee guiding you to see the assembling process of the Boeing 7-series.

      Chihuly Garden and Glass

      This magnificent garden is an exhibit at the Seattle Center that displays the incredible glassworks of Dale Chihuly. The facility includes a garden, a glasshouse, interior exhibits, and a theater. Inside the glasshouse is a 100 foot long structure.

    Seattle - Olympic National Park - Fairbanks (1537 miles)

    Today, we will visit Olympic National Park, where we will see Hurricane Ridge and mystic Lake Crescent. Later in the afternoon, we will take the ferry back to Seattle, getting the chance to take in a beautiful view of the city's skyline against the night sky. After that we will fly to Fairbanks. Please book flight after 8:00pm on your own expenses. After picking you up from the FAI airport (pick up service fee $5/person not included). we will drive to the Chena Hot Springs Resort for check-in (after 3:00pm). Then you can enjoy yourselves in the Chena Hot Springs, where you may encounter the beautiful aurora and enjoy hot springs.
    Note: Please print and carry your E-Voucher along with valid photo identification. For each order, only once Chena Resort Shuttle service (not available between 2:00am and 5:00am) can be provided. Hotel Check-in time: after 3:00pm. Please make sure to provide exact flight information 72 hours in advance. If the flight information is not accurate, the hot spring shuttle service can not be arranged.

      This UNESCO World Heritage Site in the northwesternmost corner of the United States is best known for being part of the largest temperate rainforest on the planet. It is also home to gorgeous coastline and a portion of the Olympic Mountains.

      Hurricane Ridge

      Located within Washington's Olympic National Park, this mountainous region is a popular destination for hiking, skiing and snowboarding. In the summer, several picnic areas open up, making this a great spot for a day-trip from nearby Seattle.

      If bad weather prevents us from reaching the Hurricane Ridge, we will go to the temperate rain forest area of the Olympic National Park.

      Lake Crescent

      This deep lake in the heart of Olympic National Park holds water that is a brilliant hue of bright blue. It was formed during the last Ice Age by thousands of years of glacial activity.

      Chena Hot Springs Resort

      Chena Hot Springs was founded over 100 years ago. The resort makes use of the first low-temperature binary geothermal power plant built in Alaska and is working on several alternative energy projects, including production and use of hydrogen and vegetable oil for fuel.

    Chena Hot Springs - Fairbanks

    Today we will go to visit Ice Museum. Here you can choose to taste an Apple Martini at their ice bar out of a cocktail glass made of ice. Check-in at the Activity Center by 1:45pm to sign up for the one-hour geothermal renewable energy tour.

    Fairbanks - Borealis Basecamp

    Today we will go to Fairbanks first, and then change shuttle bus to Borealis Basecamp; you will have the chance to choose several optional tours at Borealis Basecamp.

    Arctic Circle - Borealis Basecamp

    Meet at 11am, we will leave Fairbanks and continue your journey to the North. 12:30 pm, we will reach the rugged Dalton Highway, where we will stop for the photo with the Dalton Highway Sign around 15 mins. Then we will continue to the Yukon River Camp which you will reach around 2:20 pm (depending on road conditions). Enjoy a quick hot meal and continue on to the Arctic Circle around 4:50 pm. On the return trip, we will stop once more at Yukon River to use the restroom. We will arrive at Borealis Basecamp at 9:30 pm.

    You can also choose to upgrade to Arctic Circle tour by flight.

      Dalton Highway

      A 414-mile (666 km) road in Alaska built as a supply road to support the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System in 1974. It is also the subject of the second episode of America's Toughest Jobs and the first episode of the BBC's World's Most Dangerous Roads.

      Yukon River

      The Yukon River, which is one of the major rivers in North America, runs across Alaska and is injected into the Bering Sea. The whole basin is around 850,000 square kilometers, and is more famous for its natural resources (forests, gold and silver mines).

      Arctic Circle Drive Adventure

      Take a bus to the Arctic Circle in the morning. Along the way, you can see Dalton Highway and Trans-Alaska Pipeline. More chances to see wildlife, such as caribou, arctic fox, wolf, moose etc.Cross the Arctic Circle and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.

      Take a flight to Coldfoot. See the endless beautiful tundra and bird-eye view of the vast Arctic Circle. Mail postcards to your family and friends in the northernmost post office in America.

    Today is the last day, and you need to check out before 11:00 am. We do provide 2 options for your choice.

    Option 1: leave after check-out
    Please take the shuttle bus according to your flight and make sure to arrive at the airport 1.5 hours before the flight departure.

    Option 2: Ice fishing & Santa Claus House ($179 per person with complimentary Fishing License, 11/15/2018-4/10/2019)

      A. Free shuttle services: 9: 00AM - 10:00 PM, waits for other guests, heading to hotel as soon as the shuttle is full. $ 10/guest/day gratuity will be collected by tour guide at your last tour day.
      B. 24 hours private shuttle service: $ 120 / (1st &2nd guest), $ 10 /each additional guest.
      C. No flight guest: Please notice in advance and convergence with us at Seattle airport; shuttle bus will take you to the hotel. $ 10/guest/day gratuity will be collected by tour guide at your last tour day.
    • Return Flight Arrangement:
      A. Take hotel shuttle bus to airport and make sure to arrive at the airport 1.5 hours before the flight departure.
      B. For guests who choose Ice fishing & Santa Claus House, after the tour, the tour guide will send you to the airport or you can take the free shuttle bus towards the airport by yourselves. Please schedule your flights departing after 9:00 pm.
    • Seattle to Fairbanks Airport Transfer:
      Airport pick up service will be provided only once for each booking (tips $5/person not included). Pick up Servie is not available between 2:00am to 5:00am.     • The Aurora Borealis are a natural phenomenon. There is no way for us to guarantee that you will see the Aurora. We do our best to provide premier locations for viewing, should the Aurora come out. Please check weather and Aurora reports before booking your tour with us.
    • Due to Alaska law, no extra beds are available in the hotel.
    • The winter weather in Fairbanks is changeable, we may temporarily cancel or change optional tour due to extremely weather condition. Partial refund may be available.
    • In case of attraction closures (due to holidays or construction, etc.), the tour guide may make some necessary changes to the itinerary.

      Redemption

    • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

    Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

    Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of the reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

    • Up to 60 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    • 31 - 60 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    • 1 - 30 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.

      Multi-day tours without Borealis Basecamp

    • Up to 8 days prior to departure - 30% of total purchase amount.
    • 4 - 7 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    • 1 - 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.

    • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

    Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strive to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods, duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

    Tour Cancellation:
    We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
