    Day 1

    Sedona/Flagstaff - Grand Canyon (94 miles)

    We will begin the day by driving through the scenic red rocks of Sedona into Oak Creek Canyon. Then, we will continue through the Ponderosa Pine forest, past the dormant volcanoes of the San Francisco Peaks on our way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We will head up to Sunset Crater National Monument, followed by Wupatki National Monument, a well-preserved ruin site of the Sinagua Indian tribe. After that, we will continue to the Navajo Indian Reservation to visit a local trading post and have lunch. When we arrive at the Grand Canyon, we will walk along the rim, stopping at multiple viewpoints. Then, we will enjoy some leisure time at the Grand Canyon Village before checking into our local accommodations for the night.

      Flagstaff is a city located in northern Arizona, in the southwestern United States. Flagstaff lies near the southwestern edge of the Colorado Plateau, along the western side of the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine forest in the continental United States.

      Wupatki National Monument

      Located in north-central Arizona, near Flagstagg, Wupatki means "tall house" in the local Hopi language. It is a multistory pueblo dwelling, comprising over 100 rooms, including a communal area and a ball court.

      The South Rim of the Grand Canyon attracts over 5 million visitors each year and by far is the most visited side of the Canyon. As with all sides of the Canyon, the South Rim features astounding views of what took Mother Nature millions and millions of years to create.

      Grand Canyon Village Historic District

      Grand Canyon Village was designed to facilitate tourism to the canyon's South Rim and is comprised of numerous facilities such as a visitor's center and two hotels, El Tovar and the Bright Angel Lodge.

      Oak Creek Canyon

      Called the little cousin of the Grand Canyon, this 12-mile canyon in Arizona is a popular tourist spot. It offers swimming and fishing areas in addition to hiking, picnic area, and campgrounds.

    Grand Canyon - Home (88 miles)

    In the morning, we will take an optional helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and enjoy free time here, during which we can walk along the rim-side paths or visit the West Rim. In the afternoon, we will make our return journey.

      Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour

      Enjoy views of Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the Colorado River and Grand Canyon West from the sky with a Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour. An experienced pilot and guide provides informative commentary while guests admire the natural and man-made sights below.
