Day 1: Seoul

Welcome to Seoul, the capital city of South Korea! Shortly upon your arrival, your tour guide will be waiting for you at the airport. He or she will arrange for you to check-in at the hotel.

Day 2: Seoul-Paju-Seoul (26346 km)

After breakfast, we will first go to the mysterious Demilitarized Zone to explore the influence from the Korean War. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery by taking the cable car and you will also have the opportunity to visit the Lingjin Pavilion to see different kinds of military equipment used in the war. The Freedom Bridge represents the reunion of the Korean peninsula and is definitely worth the visit. Then, we will head to the Heyri Art Village. This Village is a complex village jointly built by more than 370 artists from the folk and local villagers. It also has multiple functions such as catering, entertainment, and sightseeing.

    Paju, a South Korean city located beside the west end of DMZ, the world's most militarised border dividing the Korean Peninsula and the site of some of the fiercest battles during Korean War (1950-1953).

    Demilitarized Zone

    The Demilitarized Zone refers to the buffer zone between North Korea and South Korea. The Linjin Pavilion in the zone is composed of the North Korean Memorial Hall, the Unity Park and other various monuments. Outside the Pavilion, there are also 12 kinds of military equipment such as tanks and aircraft that were used in the war. The "Peace Stone" stored in the pavilion is collected from the battlefields of countries from all over the world. In addition, there is a "Peace Bell" made of an iron hat and various weapons. The Freedom Bridge was built after the signing of the Korean War Armistice Agreement in 1953. More than 12,000 prisoners of war returned to South Korea from this bridge. When they crossed the bridge, they shouted, "Long Live Freedom," hence the name "Freedom Bridge."

    Heyri Art Village

    Heyri Art Village is a cultural village where Korean artists from various fields live together. In addition to the living quarters, there are also studios, art galleries, museums, etc. of artists in this community. Up to now, Heyri Art Village has more than 40 art functional buildings, including museums, exhibition halls, concert halls and bookstores.

    Han Jeung Mak

    The traditional Korean sauna (JjimJil Bang) is also called a kiln sauna (Han Jeung Mak in Korean). It definitely looks very different from a western spa club. This sauna is set inside a cave-like structure and has a low opening. There is a reason these rooms are built in this matter—this is the way it has been done in Korea for the last 500 years, and many people still prefer the basic wood burning sauna design.

Day 3: Seoul-Chuncheon-si-Seoul (26346 km)

After breakfast, we will drive to Nami Island, which is a famous popular Korean drama "Winter Love Song." Nami Island has beautiful scenery displayed year-round. You can enjoy the beauty and peace of this island when walking along the Dawn Redwood Road. Following, we will head to Bukchon Hanok Village, which is the best place to experience the true traditional culture in Seoul. Shortly after, we will watch The Painters show! Handsome actors, exquisite painting techniques, funny plots and romantic love stories, all of these will give you an unforgetable memory! Finally, we will go to the busy commercial street of Myeongdong, where you can enjoy a variety of delicious food while shopping.

    Chuncheon-si is a city in Gangwon-do, South Korea. It has many popular attractions, including Nami Island, LEGOLAND Korea Resort, making it well worth a visit.

    Nami Island

    The Winter Love Song starring Cui Zhiyou and Pei Yongjun has moved countless people and made Nami Island a popular attraction. Nami Island is located between Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon in South Korea. The scenery varies from season to season. Autumn and winter are the most beautiful and there are ostriches, deer and various waterfalls on the island. The famous metasequoia forest has even become a popular photographic spot.

    Dawn Redwood Road

    Dawn Redwood Road is located in the Nanmi Island. It has become a popular scenic spot due to the shooting of many Korean TV dramas and it is the "must shoot place" of Nanmi Island. The redwood trees in the forest were transplanted from Seoul Agricultural University. Take a look at the green shadows in the spring and summer. In the autumn take a look at the red maple leaves and in the winter enjoy the beautiful snow.

    The Painters

    The Painters Show is a stage play that combines stereoscopic images with live paintings. The theme of the performance is "heroes." Through more than 10 kinds of art technologies, Michael Jackson, Bruce Lee and other heroes are able to "reborn" on the stage. This play is a silent play without lines from the beginning to the end. Come and enjoy this one-of-a-kind production!

    Myeong Dong

    It is a well-known shopping area in Seoul. Guests may find several international fashion brands, luxury stores as well as local cosmetic shops. In addition, there are many casual eateries offering foreign special food.

Day 4: Seoul

After breakfast, we will head to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, which is known as the Forbidden City of South Korea. With a history of more than 600 years, Gyeongbokgung Palace is the location of many popular Korean dramas. Following, we will visit Cheonggyecheon Stream. This is an ideal place for people to feel the true culture, get close to nature, and to observe and learn about the ecology. Next, we will go to Gwanghwamun Square, the center of citizens' rest and entertainment, for sightseeing. After that, we will head to Gwangjang Market. There are many kinds of goods sold in the market. There are also many vendors selling authentic Korean snacks. The food here is affordable and the atmosphere is friendly. You can sit along the lively table, eat traditional Korean snacks and drink a glass of soju! Finally, we will explore Hongik University Street.

    Gyeongbokgung

    This palace in Seoul was once the main palace of the Joseon dynasty, built in 1395. Within, visitors will be able to find the National Palace Museum of Korea and the National Folk Museum.

    Cheonggyecheon Stream

    Cheonggyecheon Stream is an 8.4-kilometer (5.2 mile) waterway and public space that runs from west to east through the heart of downtown Seoul. During the Joseon Dynasty, the stream was known as Gaecheon, meaning an open stream.

    Gwanghwamun Square

    Gwanghwamun Square is located in the center of Seoul. The square not only displays the history of South Korea in various forms, but it is also home to various facilities symbolizing Seoul. The square stands at the statue of General Li Shunchen completed in 1968 and the newly created bronze statue of Emperor Shizong. To commemorate Li Shunchen's victory in the 23rd World War against Japan in the sea with 12 navy ships, the Square has built 100 spray basins, which are truly quite magnificent.

    Gwangjang Market

    Gwangjang Market is definitely the best place to feel the Korean characteristics. There are many kinds of goods sold in the market, ranging from hanbok, cloth, silk to vegetables, fruits, meat, seafood and etc. There is even a long food street in the market, where you can eat a variety of delicious food. Many reality shows have come here for filming, such as “Running Man.” Today, the Gwangjang Market has become a must-see popular place among tourists.

    Hongik University Street

    The area in front of Hongik University is a neighborhood known for its youthful, underground cultures, and freedom of self-expression. Unique cafes, cozy galleries, accessory stores, fashion shops, live cafés and clubs, art markets, and gourmet eateries make this a popular hang-out for locals in their 20s and 30s and a fascinating place to walk around to explore.

Day 5: Seoul

Today will be the end of your unforgettable and pleasant journey of South Korea! You can book a suitable flight to leave the Incheon International Airport (ICN) according to your needs. Our staff only provides one drop-off service from the hotel at 07:00 in the morning. If a guest has an early flight and needs to leave the hotel before 7 o'clock to the airport, the guide can assist the guest for a taxi transportation.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    More than 45 days prior to departure date (EST): $100 per pax of the tour penalty.
    Less than 44 days but 30 days prior to departure date (EST): 70% of total purchase amount can be refunded
    Less than 29 days but 23 days prior to departure date (EST): 50% of total purchase amount can be refunded
    Less than 22 days prior to departure date (EST) or on departure day (EST): 100% penalty. No refund
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
