Day 1: Shanghai

Today you will arrive in Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG), Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA)! Free airport pick-up time: 12:00 and 18:00. Please make sure to meet with our staff at the listed time slots with your claimed baggage. After greeting you, you will be arranged to check in at the hotel to rest and recharge for the wonderful journey ahead.

Day 2: Shanghai-Suzhou (84 km)

This morning we will visit China's largest city - Shanghai. Walking into Yu Garden, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, there are various pavilions, towering rocks, and green trees in the garden. Then come to Town God‘s Temple of Shanghai, which is located in the old city of Huangpu District, Shanghai. It is an ancient temple with rich historical and cultural characteristics. After lunch, we will drive to Suzhou to visit Hanshan Temple, which is famous all over the world because of the sentence "Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, and the bell to the passenger ship at midnight" in the famous poem "Fengqiao Night Mooring" by Zhang Ji, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Shantang Street is named after the Shantang River, and you can take a canal cruise to feel the atmosphere of the Jiangnan water town.

    Located in the area south of Yan'an Road on the Fangbang Zhong Road in a popular commercial district a restored folk temple dedicated to the local city god during the Ming Dynasty.

    Suzhou formerly romanized as Soochow, is a major city located in southeastern Jiangsu Province of East China, about 100 km (62 mi) northwest of Shanghai.

    Hanshan Temple

    This temple and monastery near Suzhou was supposedly founded during the Tianjian era (502-519). The name derives from a legendary monk and poet from the area who became abbot in the temple's early days.

    Shantang Street

    Due to the great history and events involving Shantang Street it is sometimes stated as being the "First Street in Shuzou." In 2015, the Shantang Street Scenic Area was added to the list of China's "National Historic and Cultural Streets." Today, it is a popular tourist destination with visitors being attracted by the heritage nature of the buildings and the various old stone bridges.

Day 3: Suzhou-Zhenjiang-Yangzhou (170 km)

Today we will first visit the national 5A-level scenic spot and world cultural heritage: Lingering Garden. Lingering Garden is a large-scale classical private garden in China. The garden is famous for its architectural art. The garden architecture is integrated with mountains, water and stones to present a natural interest. Then, we will drive to Zhenjiang. After lunch, we will go to Xijindu Historical and Cultural District. Most of the buildings on the ancient streets are relics of Ming and Qing Dynasties. The brick and wood structure, and the window rails with carved cornices are all painted vermilion, giving people the feeling of "flying pavilions and flowing pills." Finally, we will drive to Yangzhou and stay overnight in Yangzhou.

Day 4: Yangzhou-Nanjing (68 km)

Today we will first visit the national 5A-level tourist attraction: Slender West Lake. In 1988, Slender West Lake was listed by the State Council as a "national key scenic spot with important historical and cultural heritage and Yangzhou garden characteristics." The Slender West Lake is included in the World Cultural Heritage List. After lunch, we will drive to Nanjing. First, we will go to the mausoleum of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, the great pioneer of the democratic revolution in modern China, a national 5A-level tourist attraction: Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum located in Zhongshan Scenic Area. Afterwards, we will go to the Confucius Temple located on the north bank of the Qinhuai River and in the core area of the Qinhuai Scenic Belt of the Confucius Temple. This is the place where Confucius is worshiped and worshiped. Then, we will stay overnight in Nanjing.

Day 5: Nanjing-Hangzhou (236 km)

Today we will go to the national 5A-level tourist attraction and world cultural heritage in the Zhongshan Scenic Area - Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. This is the mausoleum of the founding emperor Zhu Yuanzhang and Queen Ma of the Ming Dynasty. It covers an area of more than 1.7 million square meters , is one of the largest imperial mausoleums in China. After lunch, we will drive to Hangzhou and visit Hefang Street, a historical and cultural district in Hangzhou. Hefang Street is always very lively. Many citizens and tourists come here to appreciate the unique skills of folk artists, because it has the most friendly market culture in Hangzhou, and it is a microcosm of Hangzhou's long history and culture. The former residence of Hu Xueyan is not to be missed.

    The Former Residence of Hu Xueyan or Hu Xueyan's Former Residence is the former residence of Hu Xueyan, a notable businessman in China during the latter Qing dynasty. It is located in Shangcheng District of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. On 25 May 2006, it has been designated as a "State Cultural Protection Relics Units" by the State Council of China.

Day 6: Hangzhou-Shanghai (164 km)

Today we will visit the national 5A-level tourist attraction-Hangzhou West Lake. West Lake was called "Qiantang Lake" in ancient times, also known as "Xizi Lake", pavilions, bridges, and pavilions, "there are thirty-six West Lakes in the world, and Hangzhou is the most beautiful among them." After lunch, we will drive back to Shanghai and head to Shanghai Xintiandi, a leisure pedestrian street that integrates catering, commerce, entertainment and culture based on the unique old Shikumen buildings in Shanghai.

Today we will have a full day to visit Shanghai, the magic city. We will first visit the Shanghai Museum. Then, we will go to the French Concession. In the evening, we will check in at Shanghai's landmark attractions—the Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street.

Day 8: Shanghai

Today will be the end of your unforgettable and pleasant journey! You can book a suitable flight to leave the Shanghai Pudong International Airport(PVG) OR Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) according to your needs. Our staff only provides one drop-off service from the hotel at 07:00 in the morning. If a guest has an early flight and needs to leave the hotel before 7 o'clock to the airport, the guide can assist the guest for a taxi transportation.

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
