    Vancouver - Kelowna - Okanagan - Salmon Arm/Revelstoke (587 km)

    We will begin our journey by driving along the Trans-Canada Highway, heading east to Kelowna, the heart of the Okanagan Valley. In the area, we will visit a renowned winery to learn the basics of the wine-making process and sample some of the flavors they produce. We will also see Lake Okanagan and hear the stories about the legendary monster, Ogopogo, that is said to live in the lake. We will spend the night in either Salmon Arm or Revelstoke.

      It is one of the warmest regions in all of Canada. During the summer months, visitors are offered countless sandy beaches, hot sun, and a variety of outdoor and water activities. It is also a spectacular backdrop to the golf courses and Okanagan wineries and popular ski resorts.

    Day 2

    Salmon Arm - Last Spike - Banff National Park - Bow Falls - Banff (391 km)

    Proceed to the Eagle Pass and visit the "Last Spike" . Enter Banff National Park after passing through Rogers Pass and the peaceful Yoho National Park. A thrilling gondola ride (adm) to the summit will captivate you with the majestic views of the Rocky Mountains. Move pass Vermilion lakes, experiencing the Bow Valley situated just next to Banff and visit none other than the Bow Falls. Enjoy Banff at your pace and explore a myriad of galleries, trendy shops and boutiques.
    • Salmon Arm, BC

      Salmon Arm first started as a railway camp during the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), later developing into a logging, farming and dairy centre. It is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, clean waterways, provincial parks and an abundance of green space.

      Eagle Pass/Last Spike

      The outpost of Craigellachie is a tourist stop in the Eagle Pass, which allows the Canadian Pacific Railway to pass through the Monashee Mountains. This was the location in which the "Last Spike" of the railway was placed.

      These are the western slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Towering rockwalls, spectacular waterfalls and soaring peaks earn the park its name.

      Sulfur Mountain Gondola Ride

      This unique cable-car ride takes visitors to Alberta, Canada's Banff National Park to the top of Sulphur Mountain, a UNESCO World Hertitage Site. Atop the mountain there are many viewing areas, a long boardwalk, and two small museums.

      Bow Falls

      The Bow Falls are a 30-foot-high, 100-foot wide waterfall just outside the city of Banff. The falls are popular with tourists because they are just a short walk from the town and can be reached on foot from most hotels.

    Day 3

    Banff National Park - Jasper National Park - Banff (509 km)

    Drive past Castle Mountain and enjoy a short lakeside walk along the shores of lovely Lake Louise as well as a delicious lunch featuring fresh ingredients at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise (meal plan). Then, head for the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park. Ride on the Ice Explorer(adm) onto the Athabasca Glacier followed by a thrilling experience walking on the Glacier Skywalk(adm) and discover the most stunning alpine and glacial vistas. Return to Lake Louise in the evening and transfer to Banff afterwards.

      Lake Louise

      Lake Louise is a glacial lake in Alberta, Canada's Banff National Park. The lake is known for its vibrant blue-green coloration, which comes from rock flour carried into the lake by the water of the nearby melting glaciers.

      Columbia Icefield

      The Columbia Icefield in the northern part of Banff National Park covers an area of about 200 square miles in the Canadian Rockies. The Icefield feeds eight major glaciers in the area, including Athabasca Glacier and Dome Glacier.
    • Jasper National Park, AB

      Offering visitors a more laid-back mountain experience - with equal options for adventure, discovery and relaxation. The park includes the glaciers of the Columbia Icefield, hot springs, lakes, waterfalls and mountains.

      Athabasca Glacier

      The Athabasca Glacier is the most-visited glacier in North America. It is one of the eight major glaciers of the Columbia Icefield. The Icefield Interpretive Centre is next to the glacier, and is where visitors can arrange tours.

      Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure

      Ride the Ice Explorer, a large vehicle specially-designed to enable mobility over the incredible Columbia Icefield to the Athabasca Glacier.

      Glacier Skywalk

      Visitors to the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre in Jasper National Park are treated to something new for 2014-- the Glacier Skywalk. Modeled after the Grand Canyon Skywalk, this horseshoe-shaped bridge lets guests walk out over the cliffside glacier.

    Day 4

    Banff - Kamloops (495 km)

    We will gather in the hotel lobby in the morning and transfer to the local train station, where we will board the Rocky Mountaineer! The train ride will take us through some of the most scenic areas in the Canadian Rockies.

    Sights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. We will spend the night in Kamloops, BC.

    Day 5

    Kamloops - Vancouver (252 km)

    We will transfer from the hotel to the train station in the morning. Today's train ride will take us past landmarks such as the Thompson River and the Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. We'll arrival in Vancouver train station around 7pm.
