Day 1: Washington DC

As guests arrive at the airport in Washington, D.C., they will meet with their guide to join this tour at the baggage claim area. For international arrivals, the tour escort will wait just outside of the customs exit. Free transfer to our hotel is available between 9:00am and 10:00pm. Guests who meet tour guide at IAD airport before 4:30pm will have the option to take a Night Tour of the city.

    See all the major sights and monuments of Washington DC. We will visit the Air Force Memorial where you can overlook the Pentagon and the skyline of the capital, visit of World War II Memorial, Washington Monument,Jefferson Memorial and also outside visit the Pentagon.

Day 2: Washington DC

We will begin our day with visiting inside of the U.S. Capitol, the home for the US Congress. We will also visit the Library of Congress in the U.S. Capitol, it has served the United States congress for more than 200 years. We will visit the Lincoln Memorial. This grand monument overlooks the Reflecting Pool, the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol. Inside, the 19-foot marble statue of the 16th president is flanked by inscriptions of his Second Inaugural Address and the famous Gettysburg Address. Our tour will also stop at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Memorial, National Air and Space Museum. Furthermore, we can take photos with backdrops of the White House and the U.S. Capitol due to the visit limitation for the public. You surely don't want to miss the opportunity to take our exclusive DC Cruise for sightseeing of the town along the Potomac River. Along the way of our tour, you will also see and pass by the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, World WarII Memorial and more.

    Lincoln Memorial

    This iconic American monument honors the 16th president of the United States. Abraham Lincoln was president during the American Civil War, and is most famous for the Emancipation Proclamation that freed all of the slaves in the US.

    Vietnam Veterans Memorial

    This memorial in Washington, DC serves as a place to remember the American soldier who were lost or killed during the tumultuous Vietnam War. Originally controversial in design, the simple memorial has become a shrine for the American people.

    Korean War Veterans Memorial

    This memorial commemorates those who served for the United States in the Korean War. It is located south of the Reflecting Pool at the National Mall. The simple memorial is triangular in shape will a circle at the top.

    National Air and Space Museum

    One of the Smithsonian Institute's museums in Washington, DC, the National Air and Space Museum chronicles the history of flight. From the Wright Brother to Buzz Aldrin, the exhibits at this museum explore all of humanity's air travels.

    The Potomac River runs along Washington, DC, the capital city of the United States of America. Visitors to this famous locale can opt to see many of the area's most historic landmarks and memorials in a unique way.

    Jefferson Memorial

    World War II Memorial

    One of Washington, DC's many monuments and memorials, the WWII Memorial pays homage to those who served in the US military during that conflict. It was opened in 2002.

In the morning, we will visit the Georgetown University, National 911 Pentagon Memorial, George Washington Masonic National Memorial, Old Town Alexandria, Mount Vernon Plantation and Artech House.

    Pentagon Memorial

    This memorial outside the Pentagon was built for all the victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. One of the hijacked planes crashed into the Pentagon, killing several government employees.

    Georgetown

    Located along the Potomac River, this historic neighborhood in Washington, D.C. is home to the university of the same name. The port area predates the foundation of Washington by 40 years.

    Georgetown University

    (Outside Visit) This university in Washington, D.C. is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher education in the United States, founded in 1789. The beautiful campus features many buildings designed in Romanesque and Gothic styles.

    George Washington Masonic National Memorial

    (Outside Visit) A Masonic building and memorial dedicated to the memory of George Washington, the first President of the United States. The 333-foot tall memorial sits atop Shooter's Hill.

    Artech House

    An American innovative art space and destination for immersive and interactive art exhibitions. Dedicated to showcasing works by groundbreaking new media artists who are experimenting with new technology and new forms of creative expression, Artech House presents exhibitions that support its mission to inspire, educate and empower.

    ArtechHouse will be a 10-day transition period for each theme exhibitions change, during which this attraction will not be visited.

  • Mount Vernon, VA

    A census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. both public and private. It was the home of George Washington, the first president of the United States.

    Mount Vernon Plantation

    Mount Vernon is the former home of George Washington. Washington was a revolutionary war hero, Founding Father, and the first president of the United States. His former estate has been turned into a museum that examines his life.

  • Airport Pickup: Free pickup from DCA& IAD is available between the hours of 9:00am and 10:00pm. You may need to wait for other passengers in the airport. Guests who arrive at BWI can choose paid pick-up service or go to the hotel by themselves.
  • Return Airport: Upon completion of the tour, we will send you to DCA& IAD, please arrange your flight after 19:00.
  • Paid 24-hour airport transport service: For IAD/DCA passengers, $120 per first two persons with $10 for each additional person. For BWI passengers, $200 per first two persons with $10 for each additional person.

    • If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.

  • A mandatory service fees: Minimum $10 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $10 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $40.

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of the reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of the total purchase amount.
    11-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    8-10 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show- 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit the entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
    Buy 2 Get 3rd Free / Get 4th Free: (1) Cancellation of free-fare passenger must be made at least 7 days before departure. (2) No-show or late cancellation incurs a $140 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

Additional Note

  • Tour route may be changed and reversed; you may contact the vendor 1-2 days prior departure to confirm final itinerary
  • Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
  • Luggage: Each customer may bring on board one checked luggage plus one carry-on bag.
  • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • This tour does not accept any City Pass or your own tickets for the attraction. Passengers who take this tour need to purchase admission tickets from tour escort upon arrival.
