Day 1: Washington DC - Corning - Niagara Falls(428 miles)

Driving through the hilly countrysides of Pennsylvania and New York state, we will enjoy the rural scenery as we head north to visit the Corning Glass Museum in Corning, NY. We will then continue on to Niagara Falls, NY where we will see the IMAX Adventure Movie. In summer, we can then choose to take the Maid of Mist. In the evening we will also take the Niagara Falls Night Tour.

    Corning is a city in Steuben County, New York, United States, on the Chemung River. The population was 11,183 at the 2010 census. It is named for Erastus Corning, an Albany financier and railroad executive who was an investor in the company that developed the community.

    Corning Museum of Glass

    This museum in western New York is dedicated to the history, art, and science behind glassmaking. Its collection contains more than 45,000 objects, some of which date back millennia. It was founded in 1951 and sees 400,000 visitors annually.

    Maid of the Mist

    This famous boat ride gets passengers up close and personal with the Niagara Falls! The Maid rides right into the mists thrown up by the roaring cascade as the Niagara River tumbles over the edge of the falls.

    Maid of the Mist closed in winter season. If closed we will not visit it without notice.

    Niagara Falls Night Tour

    On this relaxing night tour, you will get to see the majesty of Niagara Falls from nearby Goat Island as the roaring waters are brilliantly illuminated against the night sky.

Day 2: New York - Boston(216 miles)

Today, we will leave New York and head for Boston, enjoying the scenery on the way. In the afternoon, we will visit the campuses of Harvard University and take pictures with MIT. Then, we will pass by Trinity Cathedral, the Hancock Building, the Boston Athenaeum, Boston Common, the Public Gardens and the Massachusetts State House. For dinner, we will enjoy a delicious lobster meal.

    Boston is a city as beautiful as it is historically significant. Visitors can walk the Freedom Trail and see where the seeds of the American Revolution were sown or visit the North End and look out over the harbor.

    Harvard University

    One of the most famous institutions of higher learning in the world, Harvard University in Cambridge, MA has been standing since 1636, making it the oldest university in the United States. Tourists come for both history and the architecture.

    MIT

    Trinity Church

    (Passing By) Trinity Church is located in Boston's upscale Back Bay neighborhood. It is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, and the elaborate and ornate building has become a landmark and icon in downtown Boston.

    John Hancock Tower

    (Passing By) The John Hancock Tower is an iconic skyscraper in Boston, MA. Constructed in 1968, this beautiful blue building is staple of the Boston skyline. It is the tallest building both in Boston and all of New England.

    Boston Athenaeum

    (Passing By) As one of the oldest independent libraries in the United States - founded in 1807 - the Boston Athenaeum contains a rare book collection of over 100,000 volumes and a comparable collection of art.

    Boston Common

    (Passing By) Boston's famous park has been serving citizens of the city for over 200 years. The 50 acres of rolling lawns and clear ponds have seen the likes of everyone from Martin Luther King to Paul Revere.

    Public Garden

    (Passing By) Adjacent to the Boston Common, this was the first public botanical gardens in the U.S. Established in 1837, the garden is known for the swan boats that visitors can take onto the ponds.

    Massachusetts State House

    (Outside Visit) Perched grandly atop Beacon Hill, the Massachusetts State House has been the location of Massachusetts government since 1798. This iconic domed building houses the governor's offices and the state legislature. Tours must be scheduled in advance.

    Boston Lobster Dinner

    (The lobster dinner is on a Chinese restaurant style) New England is known for its lobster. Having a lobster dinner in Boston is certainly on many a visitor's to-do list.

Day 3: Boston - New York(216 miles)

In the morning, we will go on a relaxing Boston Harbor cruise to see the city from the water. Then, we will stop by Quincy Market to get something to eat for lunch (be sure to try some New England clam chowder!). Afterwards, we will take a bus ride to New York City, where we will stop on Fifth Avenue to do some shopping, including a visit to the Bloomingdale's flagship location.

Day 4: New York Times Square Countdown

In the morning, we will visit the Central Park of New York and the 5th Ave. We will pass by Trump Tower, Apple Flagship store, and more. (There would be no space for storage shopping bags so please do not purchase any goods on that day.) Then, we will head to Times Square to see New Year's Eve Countdown. Cheer with the entire world as the ball drops!

You will have 3 options for the countdown:

1. You may walk to Times Square and watch performances before the countdown. At the same time, the countdown zone will be closed for pedestrians only; you may experience the world-famous New Year street celebrations to witness the historic moment. (Free of charge)

2.Buy an Applebee Party Pass! ($375 for adults, $250 for kids)

3. New York Sightseeing Countdown Dinner Cruise. ($411/person, including transfer service to the pier)

    Day 5: New York

    Today we will spend the day touring New York City, making stops at the One World Observatory. Guests will take a sightseeing cruise tour on the Hudson River, take pictures with the backdrops of Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. Furthermore, visit USS Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum. In addition, wandering around Wall Street, taking pictures with Trinity Church, New York Stock Exchange and its signature sculpture Charging Bull. If time permits, we will visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. In the end of the day, our tour bus will pass by the Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Ground Zero.       This boat ride through New York Harbor loops its way around Ellis Island, home of the Statue of Liberty. Ellis Island was the arrival point for immigrants to the East Coast of the US for decades.

      Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum

      (Inside Visit) This famous military history museum on Manhattan's West Side is inside the now-defunct World War II aircraft carrier, the USS Intrepid. Exhibits include real military aircraft as well as recreations of military life aboard the ship.

      The Metropolitan Museum of Art

    • Broadway Show: the admission is on your own expense, you can book tickets from tour guide upon arrival or online in advance owing to seats are limited.

    • A mandatory service fees: Minimum $10 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $10 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $40.
    • Personal room fees: such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.

    • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

    Redemption

    • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

    • Booking changes
      A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
    • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
      Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
    • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
      Up to 46 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
      21-45 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
      8-20 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
      1-7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
      Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
      Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
      The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
      NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds 30 days after completion of the tour.
    • Itinerary Variations
      We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
    • Tour Cancellation:
      We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

    Additional Note

    • City passes are not accepted during an escorted tour due to the fact that they do not correspond into the tour schedule. The group entrance tickets provided by tour guides have fast lane and tour guides accompany passengers for activities.
    • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
    • Itineraries are subject to change due to the weather, transportation and other conditions, in order to provide the best experience for you.
    • Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
    • Hotel rooms: Each hotel room can accommodate no more than 4 guests (adults or children), and existing bedding must be used
    • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
