    • My family and I really enjoyed this tour, our tour guide Ivan and bus driver Rodley were really friendly and fun, and very knowledgable. The other tourist were predominately Chinese or Asian but everybody mixed well and the tour guide spoke English and Madarin fluently. We visited everywhere listed in the itinerary. It was awesome being able to visit so many interesting tourist attractions in such a short time and although the tour was quite rushed at times we realised that this was necessary to fit everything in. The hotels we stayed in were very nice, although they appeared to be far out of the city at times. I would recommend this tour, great value for money and a great way to sightsee and fit in numerous attractions without the dramas of driving yourself

    • I am actually quiet happy with this tour. I found that most of the people who joined the tour are Chinese or Asian people. But do not worry, the tour guide speaks in two different languages (Mandarin and English), so it is not a problem for English speakers. The tour guide is very friendly (his name is Evan) and the driver is also nice. No problem with the bus except there is no Wifi. The tour takes us to a different hotels every single day because we have to go to different cities every day. But the hotels that we stayed in were quiet nice. Since we have to travel from one city to a different city every day, we can't spend much time to experience the city more. But it really is a good value if you just want to take a picture of the city and move on. I also found out that the tour is called TakeTours is just the agent. Many people who joined the tour actually booked the tour through many different agents.

    • Our family had made two trips in Europe booked via TakeTours in 2013. Last month, April 2015, we had our 7-Day USA, Canada East Coast Tour from Washington DC. We are pleased to give all three trips 5 stars. We were served well and most of all, we had safe trips, thanks to our driver's hard work. Our groups were very diverse. Elena Shi, our tour guide, went out of her way to help each of us. We had Elena on the second day when we switched to her bus to go to Canada, from Niagara Falls in the United States. She reminded us a few times to take our belongings we might have had in the luggage compartment, on the previous bus. This is something we could have easily forgotten. She used Mandarin then English and sometimes vice versa. She communicated well with us and we did not have any problems. Elena was professional, pleasant, energetic, and detailed-oriented. She is an asset to the company. The tour guides we had on our Europe trips were also as productive and pleasant. The trip was well organized, thoroughly planned, and priced reasonably. Timing for bus arrival and departure to and from our hotels as well as pick up at various locations was punctual, even in areas where tourists and tour buses filled the streets. Hotels were excellent. We stayed at Byblos Niagara Resort & Spa in New York; Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport in Toronto, Ontario; Best Western Plus Hotel Universel in Drummondville, Quebec; Holiday Inn & Suites in Boston, Massachusetts; and Courtyard by Marriott Edison Woodbridge in Edison, NJ. With this reasonable and affordable price, we did not expect to receive luggage service. We did not expect either that our hotel stay be in the center of big cities such as NY or Quebec. We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott hotel in NJ, near NY border, so that the next morning we would head for NYC to continue our tour. We do not see this as negative. Instead we praise this company for its strategic and business mind to save costs for their customers. We came back each day after diner and we did not anticipate finding extra fun by scrolling around the hotel area. For us everything listed in their website was clear (policies, tips, optional excursions, way of payment, etc.). Before booking, we read every line, called their hotline, and went on live-chat; therefore, we did not have any negative surprises. Per Elena's advice, we experienced good food and a variety of cuisines. In the Old Qubec, we had French lunch at Auberge du Tresor & 1640 Restaurant Bistro. In Maryland, we dined at the Hibachi Sushi Japanese/Chinese buffet. At the Revolving restaurant in Skylon Tower, the sirloin steak cooked steak au poivre (medium-rare) was delicious. For $44.75, it includes viewing from the tower and lunch with an unforgettable view of the Niagara Falls on the Canada site. It was such a nice and cozy place to have lunch on a freezing day. It was worth the money. We had not planned on having lunch there but we changed our mind. We did not regret doing this at all. The same was for the Boston Chinese Lobster dinner at Hei La Moon restaurant. This place has had very good reviews. Except for the sweet dessert which was not tasty, each person got one whole big lobster and plenty of good dishes. We paid $30 per person, supposedly with 10 persons at each table. But that day we had only 7 persons per table and there was a good amount of food left over. For our trips we have used Affordable Tours and TakeTours. Our views are much different from some others regarding TakeTours and I am happy to share my family's opinions regarding our wonderful experiences. We could not think of anything negative about our trips to complain about. We have, actually, just finished booking two more trips for this June and August also via TakeTours.com.
