    Today we will see all of the famous sights in America's capital city, such as the White House, U.S. Capitol Building, Lincoln's Cottage and the Basilica!

    We will head to the White House for a phote stop. Then we will stop at these famous attractions including the Smithsonian Museums, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial or Dr Martin Luther King, Jr., Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial and U.S. Capitol Building.

    Throughout the trip, we will also have VIEWS FROM COACH/DOUBLE DECKER (Locations you will see as the motor coach is driving around and you are receiving a historical narrative from our driver guides): FBI Building, Federal Triangle, House and Senate Office Building, National Archives, Washington Monument, Grant Memorial, Willard Hotel, Freedom Plaza, Lincoln Cottage, Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and the Ford's Theatre.

      The capital of the United States of America sits on the scenic Potomac River. Monuments, museums, and Americana characterize this historic city, which is located in the District of Columbia between the states of Maryland and Virginia.

      US Capitol

      The famous United States Capitol is the meeting place of the US Congress, and has been for more than 200 years. The building is famous for its elaborate dome and intricately designed, detailed columns.

      White House

      The world-famous White House in Washington, DC is the official residence of the president of the United States and the place where most of the work is done. The facade of this neoclassical mansion is a global icon.

      Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial

      The memorial to the great Martin Luther King, Jr. on the southwest side of the National Mall was opened in 2011. It depicts Dr. King standing as a "stone of hope" carved from a "mountain of despair."

      Lincoln Memorial

      This iconic American monument honors the 16th president of the United States. Abraham Lincoln was president during the American Civil War, and is most famous for the Emancipation Proclamation that freed all of the slaves in the US.

      Korean War Veterans Memorial

      This memorial commemorates those who served for the United States in the Korean War. It is located south of the Reflecting Pool at the National Mall. The simple memorial is triangular in shape will a circle at the top.

      Vietnam Veterans Memorial

      This memorial in Washington, DC serves as a place to remember the American soldier who were lost or killed during the tumultuous Vietnam War. Originally controversial in design, the simple memorial has become a shrine for the American people.

      Smithsonian Institution

      Centered on the National Mall, the Smithsonian Institution is a series of museums dedicated to research and spreading knowledge. Some of the most notable Smithsonian museums are the National Air and Space Museum and the Museum of American History.

      National Archives

      This building on the National Mall is the official headquarters and main facility of the National Archives and Records Administration. It contains the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.

      Washington Monument

      This iconic obelisk is a memorial to the commander-in-chief of the American revolutionary army and eventual the first president of the United States of America, George Washington. The massive stone structure began construction in 1848.

      Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

      Built over the course of 41 years, finally completed in 1961, this Roman Catholic basilica was designed in a a predominantly New-Byzantine style.

      Opening Hours: Apr 1 - Oct 31 7:00am - 7:00pm, Nov 1 - Mar 31 7:00am - 6:00pm

      Ford's Theatre and Museum

      The Ford's Theatre Museum combines a remarkable collection of historic artifacts with a variety of interactive exhibits to tell the story of Abraham Lincoln's presidency. Using environmental recreations, videos, and three-dimensional figures, the museum transports visitors to 19th-century Washington, where they can follow Lincoln from his arrival in Washington in 1861.
