Day 1: Yellowknife

After arrival in Yellowknife airport, please take shuttle to hotel for checkin. Someone will give you a brief explanation for warm clothing and snow boots rental. Around 10:00pm, we will drive to watch the aurora. You can enjoy yourself in the warm cabin which offers coffee, tea, hot soup, and wait for the aurora.

Day 2: Yellowknife

Free in the morning, optional activities are available to choose from sled dogs, Ice Fishing and snowmobiling in Winter season and Boat Fishing (Lunch Included), Walking Tour to Cameron Falls in Autumn season . In the afternoon, we will have a city tour of Yellowknife. Aurora Viewing tour will be arranged at night.

1. From August 11th to the end of October, it is unable to participate in activities for snow season, please understand.
2. From the end of October to the end of November, this period is the local snow season, so the weather condition is not stable. If you are unable to participate in the self-paied projects due to weather, we will refund your money for the activities in full.

    Polar dog sledding

    Under the control of professionals, you can experience the pleasure of Mercedes-Benz in the vast snowy sea. You can play snow yo-yos, roast marshmallows, and pose with snowshoes during dog sledding. 12-16 Alaskans/Huskies for 2-4 people on a 15-minute run by the forest lake.

    Yellowknife Snow Tracker

    Unlike the motorcycles that we see on the road with wheels every day, the snowmobiles in Yellowknife, Canada do not have wheels, but use the rotation of the tracks to drive, which will be more stable when driving in the snow. In the Arctic, there is nothing more exciting than a snowcrawler and experience the feeling of conquering this snowy sea. Brand new snow track vehicle with heated helmet and escorted by a guide with many years of polar experience.

    Yellowknife Ice Fishing

    Head out onto the frozen waters off the shore of Yellowknife to experience ice fishing, which doesn't even seem possible! Make sure to dress warmly.

Day 3: Yellowknife

During the day you will enjoy a leisurely day in Yellowknife, you can arrange your own activities or participate in local winter special projects at your own expense. When night falls, in order to avoid light pollution in the city, we will depart from the hotel at about 22:00 to the Tipi tent camp to hunt the aurora. There will be two experiences of camp and chasing light every night. The chasing light stops by the forests by the lakes. Guests who do not like chasing light can also choose to stay in the camp and wait for the aurora.

Day 4: Yellowknife-Vancouver (1559 km)

Today, you will end the aurora viewing tour in Yellowknife and arrive at Vancouver by plane (Please pay for the flight ticket from Yellowknife to Vancouver at your own expense).

Day 5: Vancouver-Kelowna-Okanagan-Revelstoke (556 km)

In the morning, we will pass through the town of Merritt and head to visit the famous local "VQA" rare wine winery. Shortly after, we will head to Kelowna: the hometown of fruits in BC and take a visit to the Okanagan Lake. Finally, we will overnight at Revelstoke or Salmon Arm.

Day 6: Revelstoke - Yoho National Park - Banff National Park - Banff (379 km)

Today, we will visit the famous "Last Spike" in the Pacific Railroad Memorial Park. Drive through the Yoho National Park and then come to the Vermillion Lake. It's a good place for photographers from all over the world to take pictures here. Then we will go to visit the Bow Falls. Afterwards, we will continue to the Banff National Park and take the Banff Gondola at own expense to arrive at the summit of Sulfur Mountain. You'll get a ticket of Banff Upper Hot Spring as a gift. Later on, we will go to Banff Town, the European style town of Rocky Mountain and also a commercial area within the National Park, where there are restaurants, hotels, shopping and entertainment.

After breakfast, we will head to visit the famous Johnston Canyon. Then we will come to the Lake Louise to enjoy the well-known lake in the Rocky Mountain National Park. After that, we'll Pass by Yoho National Park and Glacier National Park to Revelstoke / Salmon Arm for night.

Day 8: Revelstoke-Kamloops-Vancouver (508 km)

Today, we will depart from Revelstoke in the morning and proceed to the Kamloops which is the hometown of Ginseng. Finally, we will drive back to Vancouver.

  • Yellowknife Airport Pickup: Free transfer between the Yellowknife airport (YZF) and hotels are available at anytime on first day (Need to pay the service fee $5 per person to the driver). Your tour escort will be holding a sign with your name.
  • Yellowknife to Vancouver (air fare not included) :
    • Yellowknife Airport (YZF) offers a free 24-hour drop-off service.
    • Vancouver International Airport (YVR), please take the free shuttle bus between the airport to the hotel (about 30 minutes). Courtesy shuttle pick-up and drop-off areas are located outside of Departures Level 3 International Terminal near the transborder check in area and outside the Departures Level 3 Domestic Terminal. Request a hotel shuttle bus with the direct dial phones located on Departures Level 3 of both the International and Domestic Terminals.
  • Return Flight Arrangement: Please arrange your flight to depart from Vancouver airport after 9:30pm (domestic flight) or 10:30pm (international flight).

  • Changes to Reservations: A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary will be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellation penalties per person
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    33 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    18-32 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 17 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Additional hotel bookings before or after the tour as well as other services are subject to hotel cancellation policy to determine if a refund is possible.
    No cancel and No change is allowed for any tour involved in train or cruise, OR 100% of total purchase amount will be charged.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
