Day 1: Atlanta - Savannah (248 miles)

In the morning, guests will be picked up in Atlanta to begin this tour. We will start with a sightseeing tour of this city, considered the capital of the South. In the afternoon, we will drive to the charming seaport city of Savannah, known for the colonial architecture of its historic city center.

Day 2: Savannah - Charleston (83 miles)

We will Start the day with a walking tour of the Historic District of Savannah. Then, in the early afternoon, we will drive north to Charleston. We will learn more about this old, historic city during our tour of the area. We will spend the evening here.

Day 3: Charleston - Asheville

In the morning, we will visit the Boone Hall Plantation, located just outside of Charleston. Afterwards, we will head inland towards Asheville, NC, where we will spend the night after arriving in the afternoon.

Day 4: Asheville - Great Smoky Mountains - Chattanooga (179 miles)

Today, we will travel along the Blue Ridge Parkway into the Eastern Cherokee Indian Reservation, which is located at the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Then, we will cross into the state of Tennessee at the Newfound Gap, before making our way to Chattanooga for the evening.

In the morning, we will leave Chattanooga and head northwest to Lynchburg to visit the famous Jack Daniel's Distillery. Afterwards, we will continue towards the capital of Tennessee, Nashville, often referred to as "Music City USA," where we will take a quick tour to orient ourselves with this rapidly developing city before we check into our hotel for the night.

Day 6: Nashville - Memphis (196 miles)

In the morning, we will depart Nashville, bound for Memphis. When we arrive, we will take a tour of the city, visiting Beale Street, the Lorraine Motel. No trip to Memphis is complete without a visit to Graceland.

Day 7: Memphis - Clarksdale - Natchez (311 miles)

Today, we will travel south into the Mississippi Delta, stopping in Clarksdale, said to be the birthplace of blues music. In the afternoon, our journey will bring us to historic Natchez.

Day 8: Natchez - Baton Rouge - Lafayette (132 miles)

We will continue further south for a stop in Baton Rouge, the capital of Louisiana. In the afternoon, we will venture into the heart of Cajun Country as we reach Lafayette, where we will visit Vermilionville, a living-history museum that showcases the lives of the local Acadian, Native American, and Creole cultures.

Our first stop this morning will be the Tabasco Sauce Factory on Avery Island. Then, we will continue towards the Mississippi River and follow it in the direction of New Orleans. Before we arrive in the city, we will stop at an local plantation. In the early afternoon, we will arrive in the Big Easy, where Europeans, Caribbean, Native American, and African culture have blended together to form one of the most colorful and vibrant cities in the U.S.

  • Some hotels may offer complimentary breakfast to all hotel guests which is reflected in the breakfast surcharge. No refunds can be given for such complimentary meals.

Confirmation

  • Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 72 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Departures can only be guaranteed 45 days prior to the departure date (a minimum number of passengers is required to operate the tour). We are not responsible for any cancellation/change fees for flight tickets.

Redemption

  • You will receive an email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us.
  • Cancellation penalties per person as follows:(Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    Up to 16 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount
    2-15 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    1 day prior - Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or a similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
