Day 1: Berlin

Upon arriving at the airport we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. You can enjoy free time until your tour starts. Please, check the informative posters placed at the hotel reception area which have all the information about your upcoming services such as meeting place, time and the guide’s name.

Day 2: Berlin

Ease your way into the local culture with a guided visit of Germany’s incredible capital, Berlin. We shall visit the historic centre, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gates and the city’s magnificent parks. We continue our visit by stopping at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum. This visit helps us to understand the difficult situation the city experienced during the Twentieth Century. Time to explore the city. Enjoy an evening in the lively area of Kantstrasse, a district that offers different types of ethnic restaurants to dine in (Indian, Oriental, Italian, German, and so on).

    Holocaust Memorial

    This memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust was opened in 2005. The site is covered with 2,711 concrete slabs in a grid, symbolizing the over 3 million deceased Jews whose names are written on the memorial.

    Berlin Wall

    From 1961 to 1989, this wall divided Berlin in two and came to symbolize the division between East and West Germany during the Cold War.

Day 3: Berlin-Dresden-Prague (312 km)

We journey through forests towards Dresden, a city which, due to its exceptional architectural and artistic heritage, has become one of the main tourist destinations in Germany. Time to explore some of the impressive palaces and to have lunch at one of its many restaurants and coffee shops. Later, we depart for the Czech Republic. Prague - Arrival. We will make our way to the Old Town Square. This central location provides a great introduction to Prague, full of energy and touristic activities. You can take your dinner at one of the restaurants offering international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian and Italian. Return to hotel.

Today we will have a guided city tour, which will include the most outstanding monuments. During the visit we will walk through Prague Castle, take a magnificent boat tour along Vltava River. Free time in the afternoon to explore Prague. In the evening, we will enjoy some time off in the historical city center and there will be an opportunity for you to enjoy cuisines from around the world (including Czech, Chinese, Indian and Italian). Return to hotel.

Day 5: Prague - Munich - Innsbruck (417 km)

We will leave early and travel to Bavaria, arriving in MUNICH free time to stroll through the monumental centre and have lunch at one of the famous traditional beerhouses. In the afternoon, we will continue to Austria. Arriving to INNSBRUCK in the evening, we will have time for dinner in the Golden Roof area at the Old Town.

Day 6: Innsbruck - Kitzbuhel

Today we will discover the Swarovski Museum. We will explore its impressive gardens and learn how the pieces of crystal are produced. Then we will take a stroll in the historic centre of Innsbruck. As we continue our journey, we will travel along pretty-scenic roads between the mountains until reaching Kitzbuhel. We will take time to explore this picturesque little village, a famous ski resort where we can enjoy the snow for a large part of the year. Dinner included (vegetarian option possible).

    This museum was opened to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Swarovski crystal company. It is closed until May 2015 while it undergoes renovations to double its size.

Day 7: Kitzbuhel - Salzburg - St. Wolfgang - Traunseee - Vienna (295 km)

Departing in the morning, we will enjoy a cable car ride up to the high mountains that surround Kitbuhel with fantastic scenery; in summer, we may also visit the "alpine flower garden". Then we will continue to explore Austria and arrive in Salzburg. Our guide will accompany us through the beautiful streets of this city's historic centre. Our next stop is St. Wolfgang, a famous place of pilgrimage in Austria. Afterwards we will continue to Traunkirchen and visit its beautiful Traunsee Lake, where we will take a cruise to see four castles, disembarking in Gmunden. After this we will continue to Vienna, arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Vienna

Today we will take a scenic visit around this impressive city with a local expert. Here we will experience its majestic avenues, its palaces and the vibrant city centre. Then we will head directly to Schonbrunn Palace, where visitors can stroll around and enjoy its beautiful gardens. After lunch, we will enjoy an afternoon of leisure in the city centre. In the evening we will go to the City Hall Square to enjoy the nightlife in the neighbouring streets. Here we will get the opportunity to take dinner.

    Schonbrunn Palace is both one of the most important cultural landmarks in Austria and possibly the most major of its tourist attractions. This 1,440-room Rococo estate and gardens was built by Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian II in 1569.

    On this excursion we will visit the interior of the Schoenbrunn Palace and the apartments remembering Francisco Joso, Sisi, Napoleon, Maria Teresa and many others who lived in this area. A walk through the palace gardens complements this visit. Later in the center we will visit the interior of the Imperial Opera, where we will remember the great musicians who passed through here.

Today we will have an approximately three-hour journey to Budapest, Hungary. Arriving at around 11:30am, we will discover Budapest known as the "Queen of the Danube" on a boat tour along the Danube River. After lunch, we will continue a scenic tour of the city. After the tour we will enjoy some leisure time. At the end of the day, we will finish in the lively area of Vaci Utca, where there are lots of opportunities to take dinner.

    118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within or more than 31 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    10% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 30 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    25% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 10 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    35% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 3 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    Absolutely NO refund on all cancellations or postponements within 1 day prior to departure (not including departure date).
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour..
