Day 1: Chicago - Pittsburgh - Washington DC (705 miles)

In the morning, we will leave for Pittsburgh and go to visit Point State Park, which will give you a good view of Pittsburgh.

    Point State Park

    Designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, this park in downtown Pittsburgh rests at the genesis of the Ohio River. The fountain in the center of the park shoots water up to 150 feet in the air.

Day 2: Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival

This day trip to Washington DC takes passengers to the amazing Cherry Blossom Festival, an annual celebration of international camaraderie and the beauty of spring!

We will drive to Washington, DC. Upon arriving, we will first take a comprehensive tour of the city's most famous monuments and landmarks, including the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Korean War Memorial. We will also stop at the White House and the United States Capitol to take photos.

Next, we will view the amazing blossoms of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, there will be some free time to explore the festival area.

    D.C. Cherry Blossom In-depth Tour

    Visit Esat Potomac park and walk along Hains Point Loop Trail view Cherry Blossom.

    Each year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates spring in Washington, DC. As for this year, the official schedule is March 20 – April 17. However, the view of the cherry blossom is subject to change due to weather conditions. Furthermore, reservation is not available for the Cherry Blossom Cruise based on the busy season in D.C.

Our tour today will take us to Lancaster, PA, home of the Pennsylvania Dutch Amish. And we will go to visit The Amish Farm and House. At the end, we will head back to Chicago. The return point is the same with the departure.

  • If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.
  • Meals and drinks unspecified during the trip.
  • A mandatory service fees: Minimum $12 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $12 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $48.
  • Personal room fees: such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.

Additional Note

  • Peak Blossom Bloom Period: Due to the short bloom and weak petals of the cherry blossom, we can not guarantee seeing the blooming cherry blossoms for departures earlier or later than the peak bloom period. The itinerary will be the same regardless.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, TakeTours only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
