Day 1: Hilo

Today we will gather in Hilo. Guests can meet the tour guide at the Hilo airport for transfer to the hotel. Arrive before 3 p.m. guests can join Big Island Mauna. Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing tour.

Day 2: Hilo

Today we will firstly take a Hilo City tour. Afterwards we will go on to visit the Volcano National Park.

    Volcanoes National Park showcases Hawaii's interesting geological history. Near the town of Hilo, Mt. Kilauea, and the Thurston Lava Tube, the park boasts an incredible, dynamic landscape that is often reshaped by local volcanic activity.

Day 3: Hilo (39 miles)

Today we will firstly go to visit the Big Island North Coast Canyon. Afterwards we will come to the Waimea town. Then we will continue to visit the Hapuna Beach Park. Nextly we will return back to Hilo.

Day 4: Hilo - Kona (59 miles)

Today we will continue to visit the Big Island South Coast. We will come to visit the Black Sand Beach and then Green Sand Beach or Puuhonua National Historic site. After that, we will go to visit the Coffee Farm. Then we will also take a Kona City Tour. Overnight in Kona.

    Kalapana Black Sand Beach

    Kalapana Black Sand Beach is a volcanic beach that is also an actively erupting area. The Kalapana Lava Viewing Area allows visitors to see the volcano's activity from a safe distance and watch smoke billow up from the water.

    This district on the Big Island of Hawaii is home to several nation and state historical parks at places like Kealakekua Bay. Kona is also famous for its special Kona coffee and being the host of the Ironman contest.

    Puʻuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park

    Located on the western shores of Hawaii's Big Island, this historical park, also known as the "Place of Refuge," once served as a safe haven for Hawaiians who broke the ancient laws.

Free time in the morning, then transfer to Kona airport, fly to Honolulu.

Day 6: Polynesian Culture Center (25 miles)

Guests may spend the morning at their leisure. In the afternoon, we will go to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a buffet meal and a 90-minute Polynesian Cultural show featuring over 150 performers.

    The Polynesian Cultural Center is actually a theme park and living museum located on the northern shores of the Island of Oahu in Hawaii. Eight simulated villages showcase different Polynesian cultures in different ways for curious visitors.

Day 7: Pearl Harbor - Honolulu (7 miles)

Today, we will visit Pearl Harbor, HI and the USS Arizona Memorial. Then, we will return to Honolulu to visit 'Iolani Palace, Kawalahao Church, Honolulu Hale, and Punchbowl National Cemetery. In the afternoon, guests will be transferred to the airport for departure flights. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding when to schedule flights.

    USS Arizona Memorial

    This memorial in Honolulu, Hawaii serves as a remembrance of the American soldier killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The ship marks the resting place of over one thousand of the dead.

    Kawaiahaʻo Church in Honolulu on the island of Oahu is a Congregational Church built of coral stone slabs from local quarries that was completed in 1842. It was the main church of the Kamehameha royal family for several decades.

    National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific

    The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific is a military cemetery honoring the US Armed Forces. It is in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is visited by millions of people each year and is one of Hawaii's most popular tourist attractions.

  • Honolulu Arrivals: Customers flying into Honolulu instead of Hilo can book a connecting flight for $108. Please note that in order to participate in the optional activities, you must still arrive in Hilo by noon.

  • Inter-Island Air Tickets: All travelling between the Hawaiian Islands is at your own expense. Guests may reserve an inter-island ticket at the time of booking for $108/ticket each way. Please note ticket price is subject to change, we will notify you of any price change before confirm booking if you book them with us
  • Air fares between your city and the departure city
  • A mandatory service fees to the driver and tour guide (min. $7/passenger/day).
  • Personal room fees such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.
  • All other private expenses
  • Serve the full hot buffet breakfast at $10.95/p for every passenages (6:30a.m. - 9:30a.m.).

Additional Note

  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • Hotel rooms: Each hotel room can accommodate no more than 4 guests (adults or children).

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book airline tickets until you have received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    15-30 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    Any flight ticket on this trip is non-refundable.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
