We will arrive in London day. Uniformed Hosts are available to help you make the most of your stay.

Day 2: London

After a hearty English breakfast, morning sightseeing with a Local Guide includes all the famous landmarks: the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben beside the Thames River, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall's mounted horseguards and the Prime Minister's Downing Street residence, Piccadilly Circus, and Buckingham Palace. The highlight is a visit to St. Paul's Cathedral (except on Sundays). Free time in the afternoon for independent activities or to join an optional excursion to Windsor Castle or the Tower of London with its fabulous Crown Jewels. Later, how about an optional dinner, followed by a cruise on the Thames River?

Day 3: London - Stonehenge - Bath (177 km)

We will depart at 8:00 am for a memorable day of sightseeing. First, visit Stonehenge, explore the visitor center with its imaginative exhibitions, then take the shuttle to the stone circle and admire the magnificence of the monument up close. Cross Salisbury Plain and head for the elegant Georgian city of Bath to see the excavations of the Roman Baths. You will also have time to explore the town further on your own. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at hotel.

Day 4: Bath - Ludlow - Llangollen - Liverpool

This morning, drive through the fertile Severn Valley and across unspoiled countryside to the medieval market town of Ludlow. The afternoon is dedicated to North Wales. Take a stroll in picturesque Llangollen before continuing on to Liverpool, hometown of The Beatles and once the departure port of great transatlantic liners.

    A small town and community in Denbighshire, north-east Wales. Above the town to the north is Castell Dinas Bran. Beyond the castle is the limestone escarpment known as the Eglwyseg Rocks. The area nearest the castle is the Panorama Walk, and a monument to poet I.D. Hooson from the village of Rhosllannerchrugog can be found there.

Day 5: London - Grasmere - Gretna Green - Edinburgh (12172 km)

Focus on the tranquil Lake District, recently awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. Take a break in Wordsworth's beloved Grasmere, and try original Grasmere Gingerbread. Then, head north for the Scottish border. On the way through the history-steeped Lowland Hills, stop at Gretna Green and visit The Whisky House where an expert explains the mysteries behind whisky production and lets you taste some well-known malts. In Edinburgh, don't miss the optional Scottish evening with Highland dancers, bagpipers, and the Ceremony of the Haggis.

    A village and tourist destination in the centre of the English Lake District. It takes its name from the adjacent lake. Poet William Wordsworth lived in Grasmere for 14 years and called it as "the loveliest spot that man hath ever found."

Day 6: Edinburgh

Morning city sightseeing with a Local Guide introduces you to the 200-year-old "New Town," and the famous scientists, inventors, and novelists who lived there. In the "Old Town," visit Edinburgh Castle. The afternoon is free to enjoy the Scottish capital at your own pace. Later, a unique optional experience: board the former Royal Yacht Britannia, once the perfect royal residence for glittering state visits and family holidays. Dinner rounds off this optional evening. For departure numbers 0729 through 0819, tickets are included for tonight's performance of the world-renowned MILITARY TATTOO, a vast spectacle of massed Scottish pipe bands that takes place in an arena on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle.

Day 7: Edinburgh - Abbotsford - Jedburgh - York (259 km)

First we will have a guided tour of Sir Walter Scott's Abbotsford Hourse. Melrose Abbey and the ruins at Jedburgh will be pointed out on the way to the English border and Northumberland National Park. In York, England's most complete medieval city, stand in awe in front of the great structure of York Minster, then follow your Tour Director through a maze of quaint streets, including the narrow Shambles.

Day 8: York - Stratford-Upon-Avon - London (364 km)

Leave Yorkshire and its associations with James Herriot, and drive through the richest farmland in Britain. In Stratford-upon-Avon, take pictures of Anne Hathaway's Cottage and visit Shakespeare's Birthplace. Return to London around 3:30 pm. How about a night out on the town with newfound friends? A three-course pre-theater dinner followed by one of London's West End shows might take your fancy.

  • Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 72 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.

Redemption

  • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
  • Prices: All vacation prices are based on rates (reflecting foreign exchange rates) known at the time of publication and expected to be in effect at the time of departure, and do not include airfare except where noted. Vacation prices are per person, based on double occupancy. Single room supplements and triple and quad room reductions are listed where applicable. Not all accommodation types are available on all vacations.
  • Cancellation: Standard Cancellation Fees escorted and independent vacations:
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    45 days prior to the commencement of services: $250 per person will be charged.
    45-22 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
    21-8 days prior to commencement of services: 30% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
    7-1 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
    On departure day and later: 100% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • Reservation Changes: A fee of $50 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation. A change of traveler name, vacation date, or itinerary within final payment will be treated as a full cancellation and new reservation; vacation cancellation fees (as above) apply.
  • Contact Information: Passengers are responsible to ensure that operator Travel has the correctly spelled name, address, phone number, email and fax data for all passengers. Names printed on the invoice must exactly match the first and last name written in their passport (middle names or initials are not needed). Operator will not be responsible for passengers who do not receive documents due to inaccurate information.
  • Baggage Allowance: Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30"x21"x11" and weight not exceeding 50lbs (22kg). We regret that we are unable to accept a second suitcase or any luggage exceeding these limits on any vacation listed in this brochure.
  • Passports and Visas: Passengers are responsible for obtaining and paying for all visas and entry documents, for meeting all health and other requirements, and for any documents required by the laws, regulations, orders, and/or requirements of the countries you will visit. Most countries require that the passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is recommended you have a minimum of three blank pages in your passport when traveling, as many countries require blank pages. Multiple-entry visas are required for some vacations. It is your responsibility to verify all visa and passport requirements.
  • Children: Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the vacation. We do not accept children less than 8 years old.
  • Travel Protection (Insurance): Comprehensive trip insurance is highly recommended by operator.
  • Travelers with Disabilities: Tour participants requiring any form of assistance are required to notify operator in writing at the time of reservation, and must be accompanied by an individual responsible for providing those services. Tour managers, guides, drivers or other tour, hotel, ship personnel are not able to provide such assistance. Wheelchairs + Walkers: Due to physical constraints and space limitations, wheelchairs and walkers may not be taken aboard motor coaches and/or river cruise ships. Operator reserves the right to remove any person from a tour or cruise who has not provided the required notification, has not received written confirmation from operator, or does not comply with these regulations. All related expenses, including those to return home, will be borne by the passenger.
  • Hotel Accommodations: The accommodations listed in the brochure or on the Web site are intended to be used on all departures; however, if a change becomes necessary for any reason, including additional departures on the same date, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent to those shown. Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedded rooms. Occasionally, some hotels will only provide double-bedded rooms. These rooms will be allocated to couples. Please note that accommodation check-in times vary worldwide.
  • Service Inquiries After the Vacation: Any complaint or claim involving the vacation services offered in this brochure or on the Web sites must be notified to the Company within 30 days of the tour completion, except where such time limitations are prohibited by law.
    As it is difficult and sometimes impossible to properly investigate a complaint if we are not advised of such complaint quickly, any compensation you may have been able to claim could be reduced or even forfeited if you do not follow the complaints procedure set out in this clause.
  • RESPONSIBILITY: Operator and its representatives abroad act only as independent contractors acting on behalf of neither the customer nor the suppliers and principals. All exchange orders, coupons, and tickets, whether paper or electronic, are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which such means of transportation, accommodations, and other services are offered or provided. The issuance and acceptance of such documents shall be deemed to be consent to the further conditions. Operator does not own nor operate the hotels, motor coaches, airlines, cruise lines, or any other service providers which compose their tours, and will not be held responsible for changes and/or cancellations for any reason by airlines, hotels or cruise ships.
  • The Travel Agent and/or Tour Operator, shall not be in any way liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity in any vehicle, or through the act of default of any company, or person engaged in conveying passengers, or of any hotel proprietor, personnel, servant or any other person otherwise in connection therewith. Operator shall not be held responsible for potential risks and hazards associated with travel to destinations included in this brochure, where injury, delay, or unanticipated events may occur. Operator shall not assume responsibility for standards of quality, hygiene, political stability, cuisine, sanitation facilities, diseases or viruses contracted while traveling for any cause, cleanliness, telecommunications facilities, methods of conducting business, emergency medical evacuation, treatment, or medical services found in these destinations. Travel to these areas may entail risks including but not limited to the hazards of traveling in politically unstable areas, civil disturbances, war, and arbitrary changes mandated by government authorities or private concerns. It is the responsibility of the passenger(s) to check with the U.S. State Department, Consular Information, click here for any current advisories and updates to the destinations on their itinerary. Operator shall be held harmless from any and all liability in connection with the foregoing. Operator cannot accept responsibility for loss or expense due to delay or changes in transportation schedule or other causes.
