Day 1: Cinque Terre

After checking in at the hotel, guests will receive a welcome package containing information about the area and proposals for the visits to the Cinque Terre. The package also comes with the Cinque Terre Train Card and the vouchers for a dinner and a wine tasting. Dinner in a characteristic restaurant in Manarola or Corniglia. You will be offered a menu with fish specialities.

Day 2: Corniglia - Manarola (4 km)

After breakfast, we will hike on one of the most beautiful trails of the Cinque Terre, the panoramic trail from Corniglia via Volastra to Manarola. In the afternoon, we will go to a wine bar and ancient wine cellar in Manarola, where we can taste 3 local wines and little typical snacks.

    Nestled in the middle of the five towns, Corniglia sometimes gets overlooked due to the myth that there are no beaches. Narrow alleys and colourfully painted four-storey houses characterise the ancient core, a timeless streetscape that was namechecked in Boccaccio's Decameron.

Day 3: Vernazza - Rio Maggiore (3 km)

Today we will hike on an ancient pilgrimage path from the Vernazza up to the sanctuary of Madonna di Reggio. The trails ends in Monterosso, the largest village of the Cinque Terre which has a beautiful beach.

    Vernazza is perhaps the quaintest, and steepest of the five villages. Lined with little cafes, a main cobbled street (Via Roma) links seaside Piazza Marconi with the train station. Side streets lead to the village's trademark Genoa-style caruggi (narrow lanes), where sea views pop at every turn.
  • Monterosso, ITALY

    The northern-most entrance into the coastal towns of Cinque Terre is a sparkling blue jewel with its beautiful sandy beaches! Monterosso, known for its lemon trees and anchovies. Split in two, its new and old halves are linked by an underground tunnel burrowed beneath the blustery San Cristoforo promontory.

Day 4: Riomaggiore - Portovenere (15 km)

Today we will hike the spectacular trail for 5 hours from Riomaggiore to Portovenere, where you will enjoy a varied path and an incomparable panorama. Then we will return by public ferry boat.

    Cinque Terre's easternmost village, Riomaggiore is the largest of the five and acts as its unofficial HQ. Its peeling pastel buildings march down a steep ravine to a tiny harbour – the region's favourite postcard view – and glow romantically at sunset.

Day 5: Hike around Palmaria island

We will emabark on public ferry to reach the secluded Palmaria island from La Spezia. We will hike on an off the beaten track trail, with beautiful views to Portovenere and over the Gulf of Poets. Then we will enjoy the slow rhytm of a suggestive small Island before going back to Cinque Terre.

    The biggest island of Liguria. It is situated opposite the town of Portovenere, where boats regularly run for the island. The island is famous for its landscape and beautiful walking paths, and no less beautiful beaches.

Day 6: Hike around Levanto

In the morning we will transfer to Levanto by train. From here we will start a spectacular path among olive groves and ancient hamlets.

Day 7: Time at leisure

Enjoy some time at leisure on the seaside or book one extra activities. You can choose among unique local experiences: pesto course, market tour with cooking class, fishing tour from Vernazza, sunset boat excursion, visit to Carrara Marble Quarries on jeep 4×4, boat tour to Portofino.

Day 8: Cinque Terre

Today we will check out and end the tour.

    29-20 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    19-15 days prior to departure - 75% of total purchase amount.
    Within 14 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
