Day 1: New York - Princeton - Philadelphia (96 miles)

Today we will leave from New York, first to visit Princeton University, one of the eight Ivy League schools in America. Afterwards, we will head to Philadelphia, known as the "City of Love", to explore the National Independence Historical Park, visit the former residence of American flag maker Ms. Ross, and stroll through the University of Pennsylvania.

    The University of Pennsylvania (commonly known as Penn or UPenn) is a private, Ivy League university located in Philadelphia. Incorporated as The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn is one of 14 founding members of the Association of American Universities and one of the nine original colonial colleges.

    Bolt of Lightning

    The 58-ton Bolt of Lightning refers to the famous experiment in which Franklin flew a kite in an electrical storm. A four-legged painted-steel base supports an image of the key that Franklin attached to the kite. On top of the key is the lightning bolt, a 45-foot truss clad with multifaceted stainless steel plates. From the bolt emerges a 23-foot tubular steel structure with a representation of the kite – all balanced by the tension of four steel guy cables. The cables appeared in Noguchi’s 1933 drawings, symbolizing, he said, the eternal and essential contact between air and earth.

Day 2: Washington DC

We will spend the day touring Washington, DC. Our first stop of the day will be the US Capitol. We will also visit the Library of Congress (exterior) and Supreme Court of the United States (exterior). Following with Potomac River Cruise and visits to famous attractions, such as the Madame Tussands Wax Museum, Air Force Memorial, Pentagon Memorial, Jefferson memorial. We will also visit World War II Monument, where you can have a great view of Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument.

    The famous United States Capitol is the meeting place of the US Congress, and has been for more than 200 years. The building is famous for its elaborate dome and intricately designed, detailed columns.

    If the Capitol is closed, we will visit the exterior of the Capitol building instead.

    The Supreme Court is another magnificent addition to Washington's neoclassical buildings. It is home to the country's highest governing judicial body. Visitors may tour the building on their own and also attend court, provided that it is in session.

    US Air Force Memorial

    The Air Force Memorial in Arlington pays tribute to the veterans of that particular branch of the US military. Its three spires evoke the image of the contrails of fighter jets as they maneuver in the sky.

    Jefferson Memorial

    The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is a memorial to the third president of the United States. The impressive building is neoclassical in design and has been standing since 1943. It sees more than two million visitors every year. It's only available during the Cherry Blossom time.

    World War II Memorial

    One of Washington, DC's many monuments and memorials, the WWII Memorial pays homage to those who served in the US military during that conflict. It was opened in 2002.

Day 3: Washington DC - New York (226 miles)

In the morning we will visit the White House (exterior). We will also visit the U.S. Department of Treasury(exterior). After then visit Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial and Vietnam War Memorial. Following, we will visit International Spy museum where exploring the craft, practice, history, and contemporary role of espionage. Before we head for NYC, we will visit the Embassy Row, begins north of the White House and extends out toward the Naval Observatory, it's a prestige and beautiful neighborhood of 170 embassies with many classes/races/ages.

  • Tourists who depart from Brooklyn can either go to Chinatown Manhattan departure location before 8:45 AM by yourself, or take free shuttle bus departs from Brooklyn at 7AM, arrive Chinatown Manhattan at early 8am, then you can enjoy breakfast first and meet tour leader before 8:45AM.

  • Personal room fees: such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
