    Campo de' Fiori

    The name of this square in Rome means "field of flowers" in English. The statue in the center depicts the Renaissance philosopher Giordano Bruno, who was burnt alive here for heresy against the Church.

    Pantheon

    Built in the year 126 AD, this famous piece of antiquity once served as a temple to all of the major Roman gods. One of the most well-preserved remnants of ancient Rome, it has been in almost constant use.

    Piazza Navona

    The site of this famous square was once the Stadium of Domitian in ancient times. The centerpiece of the piazza is the Fountain of the Four Rivers, which was designed by Bernini and features an Egyptian obelisk.

    Arch of Constantine

    This triumphal arch in Rome has been standing for nearly 2,000 years. It commemorates the victory of Constantine I at the Battle of Milvian Bridge. It was built with brick and marble, and the detailing is incredibly intricate.

    Altare della Patria

    This large national monument in Rome was completed in 1925 to commemorate the unification of Italy as one country under the reign of King Emmanuel II. The main statue depicts the goddess of Victory riding in a chariot.

    Castel Sant'Angelo

    Officially known as the Mausoleum of Hadrian, this fortress in Rome was built in 139 AD to house the dead emperor. Later, it was used by various popes as a fortress and castle.

    Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola

    This church is named for the founder of the Jesuit Order of Catholic priests and located in the Campus Martius. It was consecrated in 1722 and built in the Baroque style.

    Circus Maximus

    This ancient stadium was used during the time of the Roman Empire to host chariot races. The site is now a public park, although the Rolling Stones did play a concert here in 2014.

    Colosseum

    This nearly 2000-year-old structure is one of the most famous buildings in all of human history. At its height, it could hold up to 80,000 people, and was usually used for gladiatorial contests, executions, and drama productions.

    Curia Julia

    This building was the third senate building in ancient Rome. Julius Caesar had commissioned its construction, but was murdered by a group of senators before he could see its completion.

    Largo di Torre Argentina

    This square in Rome, in the Campus Martius, is home to the ruins of four ancient temples and the Theater of Pompey. In the 18th century, the Teatro Argentina, an opera house, was opened.

    Roman Catacombs

    The ancient Romans built a massive series of tunnels underneath the city. In the early days of Christianity, these tunnels were used to house religious services and as tombs.

    The payment is fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled 72 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour.
    Cancellations received within 48 hours - 72 hours of departure will incur a penalty of 50% of total purchase amount.
    The payment will not be refunded for any other reason (i.e. weather, change of travel plans, illness, missed train, etc.) within 48 hours of the scheduled tour.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • Prices may vary and are subject to availability by season, weekend, and/or holiday.
  • While we will make every effort to maintain a regular operation, we reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip and issue a full refund to affected customers under special circumstances.

  • We had a lovely relaxing experience on this tour. Our tour guide spoke perfect English and she was friendly and very happy to take us around the city on her golf cart. A very special way to go around Rome.
