Day 1: Vancouver OR Seattle - Vancouver

Option 1: Vancouver

Today we will gather in Vancouver. Our guide will meet you at the airport for transfer to the hotel. After, we will take a half-day tour of the city that includes stops at Canada Place, Vancouver Convention Center, Olympic Cauldron and Stanley Park etc, and take a mini ferry ride to Granville Island.

    Granville Island is a peninsula off of the main hub of the city of Vancouver, a shopping district across the water from the downtown area, as well as a center of art and culture for the city.

    The Vancouver Convention Centre in British Columbia, Canada is one of the country's largest convention centers. It has twice been selected as the "World's Best Convention Center." The Center was an important place in the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Today we will gather in Seattle. After pickup from the airport, we will take an excursion of the city that includes a brief stop at Space Needle. At the end of the day we will transfer to the hotel in Vancouver, BC.

Day 2: Vancouver - Kelowna - Okanagan - Salmon Arm/Revelstoke (359 miles)

We will start our journey via the trans-Canada highway and head east for Kelowna, the heart of the Okanagan Valley. Stop at the renowned winery to learn about the basics of wine making. Wine tasting and purchasing of the popular icewine, red or white wine will be available. After that, we will see Lake Okanagan, let us listen to its legendary story and search for the lake monster "Ogopogo". Settle down at Salmon Arm/Revelstoke in the evening.

Day 3: Salmon Arm/Revelstoke - Yoho National Park - Banff National Park - Banff (183 miles)

We will proceed to the Eagle Pass, visit the "Last Spike" , enter Banff National Park after passing through Rogers Pass and the Yoho National Park. Then we will have gondola ride, move pass Vermilion lakes, experience the Bow Valley and visit the Bow Falls. After, we will enjoy Banff at your pace and explore a myriad of galleries, trendy shops and boutiques.

    The outpost of Craigellachie is a tourist stop in the Eagle Pass, which allows the Canadian Pacific Railway to pass through the Monashee Mountains. This was the location in which the "Last Spike" of the railway was placed.

Day 4: Banff National Park - Jasper National Park - Banff (282 miles)

We will drive past Castle Mountain, visit Lake Louise and have lunch at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise (meal plan). Then, we will head for the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, ride on the Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier followed by a thrilling experience walking on the Glacier Skywalk. Return to Lake Louise in the evening and transfer to Banff afterwards.

Day 5: Banff - Kamloops (209 miles)

We will gather in the hotel lobby in the morning and transfer to the local train station to board the Rocky Mountaineer! The train ride will take us through some of the most scenic areas in the Canadian Rockies.

Sights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. We will spend the night in Kamloops, BC.

Day 6: Kamloops - Vancouver (220 miles)

We will transfer from the hotel to the train station in the morning. Today's train ride will take us past landmarks such as the Thompson River and the Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Upon our arrival in Vancouver at night, we will check into the hotel.

Guests will be able to spend today free at their own leisure by shopping or dining. If guests depart after 3:00 pm, they will get a bonus with complimentary Vancouver Designer Outlet shopping. Then, they will transfer to the airport in Vancouver for their departure flights. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding when to schedule departure flights.

We will depart in the morning and arrive at Seattle Pier 55 (Downtown), Cruise Pier 55 or 91, or Sea-Tac Airport around noon. Suggested departure flight time after 3:00 pm.
