Day 1: Tour Option: Vancouver or Seattle - Vancouver

Option 1: Vancouver

Today we will gather in Vancouver. Our guide will meet you at the airport for transfer to the hotel. After, guest who arrive before 1:30 pm will take a half-day tour of the city that includes stops at Canada Place, Vancouver Convention Center, Olympic Cauldron and Stanley Park etc, and take a mini ferry ride to Granville Island.

    Granville Island is a peninsula off of the main hub of the city of Vancouver, a shopping district across the water from the downtown area, as well as a center of art and culture for the city.

    The Vancouver Convention Centre in British Columbia, Canada is one of the country's largest convention centers. It has twice been selected as the "World's Best Convention Center." The Center was an important place in the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Today we will gather in Seattle. After pickup from the airport, we will take an excursion of the city that includes a brief stop at Space Needle. At the end of the day we will transfer to the hotel in Vancouver, BC.

Day 2: Vancouver - Kelowna - Okanagan - Salmon Arm/Vernon (337 miles)

Start our journey via the Canada highway, pass through Fraser valley, and head east for Kelowna, the heart of the Okanagan Valley and home to world-class vintners. At Lake Okanagan, let us listen to its legendary story and search for the lake monster "Ogopogo". Then we will visit one of the most renowned wineries before settling down at Salmon Arm/Vernon in the evening.

Day 3: Salmon Arm/Vernon - Banff National Park - Banff (225 miles)

Proceed to the Eagle Pass and visit the "Last Spike" of the transcontinental railway connecting the east and the west. Travel through the Rogers Pass. After a thrilling gondola ride to the summit, you will be captivated by the majestic Rocky Mountains. Then we will discover the town of Banff within the country's first national park. Immerse your body in the soothing Banff Sulphur Mountain hotsprings. Overnight at Banff.

    Banff Gondola will be closed for maintenance from Jan 5 -17, 2020.

Day 4: Banff National Park - Vernon/Salmon Arm (185 miles)

Today, we will journey to Lake Louise. If weather permits, we can go snowshoeing on the ice surface of the lake. Then, we will enjoy a delicious meal at Chateau Lake Louise and a walk along the lakeshore. In the evening, we will relax in Vernon or Salmon Arm.

Day 5: Vernon/Salmon Arm - Kamloops - Vancouver (296 miles)

Today we will arrive at Kamloops, visit the Ginseng Factory. After passing by Hope and Hunter's Creek, we will arrive in Vancouver in the late afternoon.

    The Sunmore Ginseng Factory and Spa in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada is the only ginseng manufacturer in North America and was founded in 1991 by Chinese doctor Zhang Shunmei. Visitors can enjoy the relaxing ginseng spa.

Day 6: Vancouver - Yellowknife

We will enjoy a free morning for shopping or fine dining. In the afternoon, we will be transferred to Vancouver airport for flights to Yellowknife (air fare not included). Please see "Departure and Return Details" for info about what time your flight to Yellowknife should depart. After arrival in Yellowknife around 9:30pm we will start our first night Northern Light exploring. Travelers can stay in the warm house, enjoy free hot drink and snacks and view the spectacular Northern Light. Back to hotel around 2:00am.

Day 7: Yellowknife

We will travel by snowmobile to Great Slave Lake. Aside from the Aurora Borealis, we will observe our guides pull up the catch with an aboriginal ice fishing net. Then, return to our lodge and enjoy a feast of freshly caught fish. After lunch, we will have a city tour of Yellowknife. Tonight, we will have the 2nd Aurora Viewing tour

    Yellowknife Ice Fishing

    Head out onto the frozen waters off the shore of Yellowknife to experience ice fishing, which doesn't even seem possible! Make sure to dress warmly.

    Yellowknife Old Town

    Yellowknife sits far in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Its Old Town is a charming historical area where there is now a craft beer brewery and a glass works facility.

    Aurora Borealis Viewing

Day 8: Yellowknife

Experience the world class dry land training and the power of a professional team of sled dogs. Optional activities are available to choose from, the 3rd Aurora Viewing tour will be arranged at night.

    Polar dog sledding

    Under the control of professionals, you can experience the pleasure of Mercedes-Benz in the vast snowy sea. You can play snow yo-yos, roast marshmallows, and pose with snowshoes during dog sledding. 12-16 Alaskans/Huskies for 2-4 people on a 15-minute run by the forest lake.

Day 9: Yellowknife - Hometown

Free time in morning, then transfer to airport. Tour ends.

    • Seattle in: Please meet tour guide at the CLAIM BELT #14 at 12:00pm (On Sat, it'll delay 30mins on 12:30pm) at SeaTac airport or meet the tour guide at Pier 91 at 1:15pm (or request a pick up time) / Main Entrance of the Pier 55 Starbucks at 1:45pm (or request a pick up time).
    • Vancouver Airport in: (If you wants to take a half-day tour of the Vancouver city, please meet tour guide before 11:00 AM.)
      • Domestic arrivals please wait at the CLAIM BELT #3 in domestic arrival hall.
      • International arrivals, your tour escort will wait at "Welcome Figures" wooden statue in Arrival Hall. Free airport pickup service available between 8:00am-9:30pm (Type A, Type B Hotel); if you upgrade your hotel to downtown area, the free drop off service is available between 8:00am-8:00pm (Type C, Type D Hotel located in downtown Vancouver).
    • Vancouver Pier in: Complimentary pick up from Canada Place Feery Terminal/ Pier for cruise arrive before 9:45am.
  • Yellowknife Flight: Free airport pick-up/drop-off is available between 9:00AM to 11:00PM, other time with surcharge $15/way per passenger. Please meet your tour guide at the airport arrivial hall.

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking, please do not book the airline tickets until your received the confirmation.
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    23-30 days prior to departure date - 30% penalty
    15-22 days prior to departure date - 50% penalty
    No refund within 14-day prior to departure date. No partial refund on any unused services.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. The refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Rockies hotel upgrade is non-refundable once booking confirmed.
  • Prices may vary subject to availability/season/weekend/holiday.
  • We reserve right to cancel a schedule to fully refund affected customers although we will make every effort to maintain the regular operation.
