Day 1: Tokyo

Today we will gather and meet the tour guide at Tokyo Narita airport. After pickup at the airport we will transfer to hotel with the help of tour guide. Hotel check-in after 3:00pm.

Day 2: Tokyo

After breakfast, we will visit Meiji Jingu. Then we may view Sky Tree, the tallest self - propelled tower all over the world. After visiting Asakusa Kannon Temple, guests will have Japanese BBQ as lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit Nijubashi Bridge, the Japanese emperor's residence, located in the center of Tokyo Chiyoda area. We will continue to Ginza after viewing Tokyo Tower. After dinner, we will return to hotel.

Day 3: Tokyo - Hakone - Hamamatsu (211 km)

After breakfast, we will drive to Hakone and take a cruise on Lake Ashi and visit Oshino Hakkai. Then, we will head to Heiwa Park. We will return to hotel to have dinner and enjoy the hot springs. Spend the night in Hamamatsu.

    Lake Ashi

    It is a highlight sightseeing in Hakone. It is near Fuji Mountain and if guests take a cruise on the lake, they may view a breathtaking scenery of Fuji Mountain combining with lake.

    Heiwa Park

    This park is built to pray for peace. It is a Japanese style garden with a Sakyamunita pagoda which is a gift from Indian government.

    Oshino Hakkai

    It is a small village near breathtaking Mountain Fuji. It is also a perfect location to stand here and view the Fuji.

Day 4: Hamamatsu - Nagoya - Kyoto (221 km)

After breakfast, we will head to Nagoya and visit Royal Jewelry Shop. We will head to Kyoto after lunch and visit famous Gion. Then, we will visit Hanamikoji which is the classiest geisha district among Japan. We will spend the night in Kyoto.

Day 5: Kyoto - Nara - Osaka (77 km)

After breakfast, we will visit Kiyomizu Temple and wander on the sloping paths. Then, we will visit Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine. On the way to Osaka, we will visit Todaiji Temple in Nara. When we arrive in Osaka, we will do some shopping in Shinsaibashi.

    Otowa-san Kiyomizu-dera

    An Buddhist temple in eastern Kyoto. The temple is part of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto (Kyoto, Uji and Otsu Cities) UNESCO World Heritage site.

    Fushimi Inari Taisha

    Fushimi Inari Shrine is an important Shinto shrine in southern Kyoto. It is famous for its thousands of vermilions torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings. The trails lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which stands at 233 meters and belongs to the shrine grounds. Fushimi Inari is the most important of several thousands of shrines dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice. Foxes are thought the Inari's messengers, resulting in many fox statues across the shrine grounds.

    This Japanese city has a rich history. From 710 to 794 BCE, it was the country's capital. There are many deer in the area, and it is said that if you bow to them, they will return the gesture.

    Todaiji

    This Buddhist temple in Nara was once among the Seven Great Temples. It houses the world’s largest bronze Buddha statue. Visitors can see deer, seen as the messengers of the gods in Shinto, freely roaming the grounds.

    Shinsaibashi

    Shinsaibashi is the main shopping district of Osaka, Japan. It includes different themed sectors, including Shinsaibashi-suji, a covered shopping street, and Amerika-muri, an American themed area, one of the most popular areas for Osaka's youth.

Day 6: Osaka - Sapporo (1058 km)

After breakfast, we will take airplane to Sapporo New Chitose Airport. Guide will help guests transfer to hotel. Check in after 3:00pm.

Day 7: Sapporo - Biei - Sounkyo (226 km)

After breakfast, we will visit Farm Tomita(* Jan - Apr/ Nov - Dec: it will be replaced by Ikeda Wine Castle). After lunch, we will visit Shikisai-no-Oka and take a stroll around the Blue pond (* Jan - Apr/ Nov - Dec: it will be replaced by Aeon). We will taste Hokkaido crab for dinner.

    Furano is a large expanse of rolling hills that lead up to Mt. Tokachi. Situated along the Sorachi River, Furano belongs to Furano-Ashibetsu Nature Park. Because of its position in the heart of Hokkaido , Furano is nicknamed the "navel town." There's even a festival to celebrate it. In winter, Furano is prime downhill and cross-country skiing territory with world-class slopes. Warmer weather is perfect for river rafting, trekking, cycling, golf and other pursuits.

    Farm Tomita

    Furano is famous for its numerous fields of lavender. Farm Tomita is one of the many farms in the area which create this reputation by planting giant fields of lavender and other colorful crops such as tulips.

Day 8: Sounkyo - Abashiri - Akankohan

We will go to Sounkyo valley, see Ginga Waterfall and Ryusei waterfall, also the valley of Oobako. Then we will continue to Abashiri and visit Okhotsk Ryuhyo Museum. Afterwards we will visit Lake Mashu.

    Okhost Ryuhyo Museum

    The museum provides a simulated drift ice experience in a room where the temperature is set at -15 degrees Celsius and get to know the small creature of "Sea Angel" which an only be found under the drift ice in Hollaido.
  • Akan Mashu National Park, JAPAN

    A national park established December 4, 1934. Akan is an area of volcanic craters and forests, covering 90,481 hectares. The park is famous for its crystal clear lakes, its hot springs, and its large marimo.

    Lake Mashu

    A endorheic crater lake formed in the caldera of a potentially active volcano. It is located in Akan National Park on the island of Hokkaido, Japan. The lake has been called the clearest lake in the world.

Day 9: Akankohan - Tokachi-gawa

We will take a cruise on Lake Akan and enjoy the view (Jan - Apr/Nov - Dec: it will be replaced by fishing on the ice or view dance). Afterward, we will visit Kushiro Tancho Nature Park where you can find red-crowned crane. Afterwards we will proceed to Tokachi and check in at onsen hotel on arrival, Tonight, dinner features the Toyonishi Beef.

    Lake Akan

Day 10: Tokachi-gawa -Toyako - Jozankei (341 km)

We will visit Hell Valley which offers hot steam vents, sulfurous stream and other volcanic activity. After lunch, we will visit the Bear Park. Take the Usuzan Gondola to see the beauty of Toyako Lake and get a close look of crater at Showa-shinzan Volcano. Next we will proceed to Jozankei.

    A town in Iburi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. It was formed on March 23, 2006. The name of the town was derived from the nearby Lake Toya (Toya-ko).

Day 11: Jozankei - Otaru - Sapporo (37 km)

After breakfast we will drive to Otaru Canal and visit Kitaichi Glass Pavilion. Afterward, transfer to the Chitose airport for your flight back home or plan the rest of day on your own.

    A canal adorned with Victorian-style street lamps runs through Otaru.

    Kitaichi Glass Pavilion

    Kitaichi Glass dates back to 1901. Here you will find several stores and art galleries. You can also visit the stores to experience the making of the Kitaichi Glass.

  • Airport meet up: Tokyo (Narita Airport) free airport pick-up service is between 10:30am and 9:30pm at Terminal 1 and 2. Tour guide will help guests transfer to hotel. Otherwise, guests could take the Hilton free shuttle bus to hotel on theri own.
    Shuttle location: Terminal 1 at Gate 16; OR Terminal 2 at Gate 26. If you can not catch the latest shuttle at 10:20pm, you could take a taxi to hotel (about $20/car).
  • Sapporo (Chitosan International Airport) meet up on Day 6: Tour guide will pick up guests and then transfer to hotel.
  • Return: Guests will be transferred to Chitosan Airport at around 11:30am. Please arrange your return flight after 1:30 pm.
