Our Muir Woods & Wine Country tour combines a trek through the one of San Francisco Bay’s best protected nature reserves, one of the last remaining that contains the old Coast Redwood, with a relaxing afternoon excursion to 3 wineries in California’s World Famous Sonoma Valley Wine Country. At the day’s start, we’ll drive to the Marin Headlands into the Muir Woods*, a beautiful valley filled with Californian Redwood Sequoia trees. There, we’ll spend an hour admiring California’s natural beauty before heading back over the headlands, north to California’s Wine Country. Our stop is at the Sonoma Valley and Carneros Region, where we’ll spend an hour at each of 3 special wineries, with Wine Tasting events consisting of “flights” of 5 appetizing wines at each stop. For lunch, we head to Sonoma Plaza, where we’ll have a complimentary cheese tasting event, followed by an option of a gourmet deli or BBQ. On our way back to San Francisco, we’ll drive through the picturesque town of Sausalito, home to thousands of sailboats, hundreds of floating houses, and one indescribable view of the San Francisco Bay. Finally, we’ll make our way to the Golden Gate Bridge and stop to take pictures high above the water below. At the tours’ end, we will drop you back off at your San Francisco hotel or you can opt to take a scenic ferry from Sausalito to Fisherman's Wharf.
