Enjoy a very entertaining day visiting Avila and Segovia, two cities rich in history. The first stop in our tour will be in Avila, a city that preserves the most ancient and complete fortified complex in Spain (XI century). Its 2500 m wall and its 90 fortified towers surround the old city, which houses great part of its monumental treasure including a large number of Romanesque style churches, gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral of the XII century. We will visit the Convent and Museum of Teresa de Jesus, the Cathedral (the outside), the Plaza Mayor and the Basilica of San Vicente.
At the end of the tour, we will go to Segovia, famous for its well-preserved Roman aqueduct, which is 16 km long. Home of some of the kings of Castile, this city preserves one of the most important medieval group of buildings in Spain. Due to its elegance, the Cathedral of Segovia is considered to be Lady of the Cathedrals, and the Alcazar is the most spectacular castle in the country. We will see the Acueduct, the Cathedral, and the Alcazar.
From 4/1//2019, the itinerary will change as follow:
When in Avila, we will first visit the walls of Avila and visit the outside of the Basilica of St. Vincent as well as the Cathedral of Avila. Then we will walk thourgh the convent and Museum of Santa Teresa de Jesús and finish in Avila's main square.
When in Segovia, we will first visit the Roman Aqueduct. And then we will walk to the Plaza Mayor and enter the cathedral of Segovia. Shortly after we will go to Alcazar de Segovia.
    * There are 3 different options for this tour:
    - with Tapa (no lunch): a drink (soft drink, beer, wine, still water, coffee) and a tapa of Spanish omelet - Tourist Lunch: "La Granja" white beans, Segovian style stuffed veal with garnish and dessert. Red wine, mineral water, and coffee. - Gastronomic Lunch: "La Granja" white beans, roasted suckling pig and sponge cake with ice cream. Red wine, mineral water, and coffee.
    • Avila, SPAIN

Avila is a small town in Castile and Leon, Spain. Not much has changed since the Middle Ages, as far as the architecture is concerned, as the town's original medieval defense walls still proudly stand.

      Convent of Santa Teresa

Built over the birthplace of its namesake saint in 1636, this convent is operated by Carmelite nuns and was constructed in the Baroque style of architecture.
    • Segovia, SPAIN

Being one of the largest Roman structures in Spain, it was built in the period of "Flavio" around 50AD. With a profound culture and history in Segovia, you can visit Segovia Aqueduct, Alcazar de Segovia etc.

      Alcazar of Segovia

Like the other Alcazars located throughout Spain, the one in Segovia was a renovated Arab fortress, converted to a magnificent castle after the Christian reconquest of Spain. It rests at the far-northern edge of town, atop a steep cliff.

      Segovia Cathedral

This incredible cathedral in Segovia was built towards the end of the Gothic period, between 1525-1577. The facility is built on a hill, towering over the rest of the city, and is brightly illuminated after dark.
The visit to the walls of Ávila will be modified by the interior of the Basilica of San Vicente just on Mondays from November 2018 to March 2019 as it will remain shut every Monday.
The rest of tour days, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the visit to the Walls will operate as usual.
