Pricing Policy

  • Buy 2 Get 3rd Free: (1) Cancellation of free-fare passenger must be made at least 7 days before departure. (2) No-show or late cancellation incurs a $155 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat.
  • Child rates: Child rates apply to those who are 0-12 years old. Child above 2 years must take the seat. Customers are welcome to use child safety seats on that have lap and/or shoulder belts/harnesses for the infant under 2 years. Please note that each hotel room can only accommodate up to 4 guests of any age.

Day 1: Chicago - Detroit - Frankenmuth(376 miles)

Today we will drive from Chicago to Detroit, MI, the Motor City. Here, we will spend the day taking a tour of this famous, historic city known for equally for its music and its automechanics. In the spirit of its automotive past, our tour will include a visit to the Henry Ford Museum. We will then head to Frankenmuth, a German town in central America, to feel an entirely different culture.  We will dine at a well-known local restaurant and brewery, enjoying the world famous German sausage with authentic German beers.

    Detroit, MI
    Detroit is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Michigan, the fourth-largest city in the Midwest and the largest city on the United States-Canada border. It is the seat of Wayne County, the most populous county in the state.

    Henry Ford Museum

    This National Historic Landmark in the suburbs just outside Detroit is dedicated to the collection and preservation of Americana. The Henry Ford museum contains things such Lincoln's Ford's Theater seat and Rosa Parks' famous bus.

Day 2: Frankenmuth - Mackinaw(201 miles)

Today we will drive to the lakeside city of Mackinaw and take the ferry boat to Mackinac Island. We will bypass a five-mile-long suspension bridge connecting the upper and the lower half of Michigan peninsula. We will have time to take a coffee on the porch of the Grand Hotel.
  • Frankenmuth, MI

    Nicknamed "Little Bavaria" because of the history of German immigrants in the area, Frankenmuth is home to Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, which bills itself as the largest Christmas store in the World.

    German Style Dinner

    At the Frankenmuth Brewery, a very popular local eatery, you will get to enjoy a dinner of traditional German food. Enjoy a fine Bavarian bratwurst and a pint of beer and experience delicious German-American cuisine.

    A popular tourist city in the state of Michigan.

    Mackinac Island

    Mackinack Island, just off Michigan's shoreline, is only accessible by ferry or plane. A unique local law prohibits the use of motor vehicles, so be ready to either walk, bike, or horseback ride. Regular musical acts spice up the nightlife.

    Grand Hotel

    This historic landmark is the marquee attraction on Mackinac Island, having hosted five U.S. presidents, Thomas Edison, Mark Twain, and even Vladimir Putin in its time. The front porch is the longest in the world.

Day 3: Holland - South Bend - Chicago(149 miles)

On our way back to Chicago, we will make a stop in the historic town of Holland, MI to visit the Dutch Village. Then we will journey to South Bend, IN, the heart of Amish Country. Here, we will enjoy the Amish Village Organic Meal to learn about this unique culture. At the end of the day, we will return to Chicago, where guests will be dropped off to end the tour.     Holland is a city in the western region of the Lower Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is situated near the eastern shore of Lake Michigan on Lake Macatawa.

    Dutch Village

    The Dutch Village in historic Holland, MI is a living museum that pays tribute to the people who settled this quaint town. From wooden shoe factories to cheese-making, guests will think they've stepped into 18th-century Holland!

    • If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.
  • Meals and drinks unspecified during the trip.
  • A mandatory service fees: Minimum $12 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $12 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $48.
  • Personal room fees: such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
  • Some of the destinations may be closed due to Covid pandemic.Please follow your tour leader's instruction. Your kind understanding and cooperation are highly appreciated.

  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • Tour route may be changed and reversed; you may contact the vendor 1-2 days prior departure to confirm final itinerary
