Amazing trip with great stay, comfortable travel, covering most places, but the tour guide asked us resort fee of 20 USD/ passenger which was not mentioned anywhere earlier.

Overall I enjoyed this tour a lot but people have to be vary of the hidden costs they charge, especially charging people for a free day or the grand canyon was too expensive and over the actual entry price. I know it's for transport too but when you gather all that money you get more than the overall oil prices. Enjoyed but I am still not satisfied over the prices
This tour was amazing. Stratosphere Hotel in Vegas is absolutely top notch. We did not expected this kind of hotel to provide. As always Take Tours does it best to provide best in class hotel. The night view and activity from Stratosphere tower are absolutely treat and bang for your bucks. We selected South Rim due to its large and great original view and landscape. If you do not want to avail helicopter tour through the canyon, then you must opt for South rim only. Las Vegas Night tour was also enjoyable. The 1st Day we got Aaron as tour guide who is not so knowledgeable and fumble a lot while speaking. But tour guide Harry on Vegas Night tour and Canyon South rim tour is absolutely praiseworthy. He explained every minute details and also fun while talking. On the way back we also had Hoover Dam visit. The last day we got a chance to stop by famous Vegas sign which is added benefits to our trip. Tour Guide Su is excellent and very enjoyable on the final day of our tour. Everything that is mentioned in the itinerary page, was covered promptly. Unlike previous tour with Super Vacation, This tour is much better in terms of tour guide, service, arrangement and most importantly following itinerary. I was highly satisfied on this trip and will recommend. A word of caution: You will not get a sip of drinking water free in the hotel, so you have to pay a lot out of your pocket to avail bottled drinking water throughout the trip.
I like the tour the the fist guide was really good, the guide from the secund day, was ok, I didn't like that he didn't translate everything he was saying into English as well, he would take 5 minutes on Chinese and 10 seconds in English. Besides that everything was good.
Good tour. Just be aware that the posted price does not include all the mandatory fees:
1. Service fee for tour guide and driver was $24 per person for the 3 day tour
2. The grand canyon IMAX & lunch was not optional and was 25$ per person (so the total for Grand Canyon south rim was $75 per person)
Please note that price inclusions and exclusions is mentioned on the tour page on the itinerary section right below the departure and return information.
We really enjoyed the trip.Tour Guide Gerey and Bus Driver Jerey both are really nice and very friendly. Both really did great job.Very on time.3-Day Grand Canyon South Rim, Las Vegas Tour from Los AngelesTour Code: 189-2344 worth it.
The tour and price are awesome. Accommodation is best and like a gift with respect to the price. Some of the tour guides(Mebo and Sean are friendly, Hana is a bit rude) are not that friendly, but not all. Be cautious if more than 4 are travelling from a single group as they may not keep you in the same bus since you would have booked 2 orders as no scope to book a single order for more than 4 persons. you have to be on time at the bus stop as suggested by the guide for different places as part of the tour otherwise the bus will not wait for you, in order not to cause problem for others. My suggestion is to announce the time zone where ever it differs and to update the tour bus clock accordingly as sometime people may not be aware of the time zone or forgot to notice it. Overall the tour, Accommodation and itinerary are awesome.
The tour is awesome with respect to price. Transportation is good but the seats are a bit uncomfortable in some buses. Accommodation and itinerary are best. Some tour guides are best where as some are rude. Out of 3 days, 2 days I found the guides are so good but one of the guide was so rude I met on the 1st day.Overall the tour is awesome and deserve the price.
The tour is a great option if you are on a low budget, the price is the BEST!! The hotel accomodation in Las Vegas was awesome and the transportation is comfortable if you are shorter than 5'9. The company that operates the tour is Chinese, the tour guides are chinese and some of them are kind, but at some point all I heard was chinese which was kind of annoying since my first language is spanish. It was very hard to understand what they where saying in English. I never understood what was the $24 Fee they where charging for each person. I would recommend it anyway.
Its worthy, however there are 2 improvement
1. Itinerary shows you will get " free ride of Stratosphere hotel amusement park" which was denied by Tour guide and responded that it was old itinerary
2. In return to LA, Option for Vegetarian people was not available
Rest were awesome, timing and all are followed as mention
The tour is great for the price, considering that the hotel acommodation is in very nice hotels! The drivers and hosts are friendly. The bus is comfortable if you are not taller than 5'10. Just expect long hours in the tour bus because the distance between one place and the other aren't short at all, and of course, some of the stops are really short, just enough to take pictures.
The operators and tour guides are chinese as well as the majority of the guests, so is very clear that the tour is designed for chinese guests. I am a spanish native speaker with a decent level of english, and I wasn't able to understand most of what the tour guide was saying (even in english) even though they were very kind.
I would recommend taking the tour because is a great price deal, but if you are not chinese or chinese speaker and short of pacience it can get really annoying.
This is a perfect tour for first timers visiting las vegas and grand canyon. The bus travel might be a little bit too much for elderly but in less time more coverage is what to expect from this tour. Would recommend this tour.
Tour guides Tom and Mabel were awesome, as well as the driver Jack!!!! I was traveling alone but felt like I was traveling with family. Everything was well executed, fully explained and carried out. There were some delays because not everyone returned to the bus on time, and some seating complaints (which were handled very professionally by Mabel) but overall it was a fine trip. I highly recommend this trip especially for individual travellers who don't want to go it alone. Thank you Tom, Mabel and Jack f for making my trip AWESOME!!!!!
Thank you TakeTours for the wonderful Bus Tour to Grand Canyon & Las Vegas. Your tour guide was excellent in handling her guest & your driver was also excellent. We have a comfortable ride all throughout our trip. I will continue to use TakeTousr & recommend you to my friends & relatives
The first 2 days of the trip was very good, especially the Las Vegas night tour. The third was a mere waste, there is nothing at all to see in the chocolate factory or cactus garden. The Barstow doesn't even qualify to be called as outlet mall.
The guide hardly spoke in English, which leaves one clueless of the itinerary.
This tour is average. Tourist company cancel our Grand canon south rim tour at last moment when we are in Vegas because they want to save extra bus so they called some families and told them that trip is cancelled. But second day when we came down to the front of hotel then same guide is taking families to Grand canon South rim and we asked him then he told us that they are going to south rim and he cancelled because their is no room but we book this tour for canon south rim. This is kind of fraud which happen with us and tourist guide manipulate us. Tourist guide name is Wade. I hope this should not happen with others.
I am giving this trip five star because this review will be show up.
Overall the tour was generally well planned. The major downfall is the tour guide. I understand that they are going to speak in chinese because majority of the people on the tour are of asian heritage, however, when they speak for 25 minutes in chinese and only 5 minutes in English or none at all it is very disappointing. Furthermore, the tour guide was very repetitive and did not give information about the places or sites we visited but just said that they were "very beautiful." The tour would have been more worth it if they gave us facts and history about the places. The highlight of the tour was most certainly the accommodation. The stratosphere was a brilliant hotel and couldn't fault it. Overall, i was quite disappointed with the tour and probably would not recommend it to friends purely due of the tour guide
It was worth the money... Can't ask more..
The only thing I missed is the shopping in Factory Outlet. They cut it short because of the traffic. But there's nothing in their hand.
Good management of crowd.
Giving itinerary 4 because of the early departure for South Rim at 4:45AM is very early.
First things first- It's a great deal. If the goal is to get in, see the sights and get out at a low cost, you're set.
If the emphasis is on the tour, you may be disappointed.
It was a quick, easy way to get from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon and back in under 3 days, and is perfect for those who do not want to fly or drive themselves. You can book last minute, and you see a lot in a short span.
The hotel is also a great deal. A room per night is more than the entire tour cost, so it's a steal. Clean, nice, great views at the top. It is at the very end of "The Strip" though, so it's as far away as you can be while still being on the main road so you'll need to take the bus, taxi or walk quite a while to reach everything.
Downsides: this is a Chinese tour. The operators are Chinese, the tour guides are Chinese, and every guest except us was Chinese. As an American and Peruvian we experienced language barriers, many cultural barriers, and felt out of place. It was hard to understand the tour guides when they spoke English, we could not communicate with the other guests, and felt like style of the tour agreed with the Chinese guests but was not what we were looking for. We felt the operators were a bit rude, unhelpful, and just trying to get extra money off of many extra costs. Furthermore, we believe in the value of local tour guides who actually know the area. As you can assume, this was not the case.
As stated above, it's a tour to get in and get out. We value flexibility in tours, and the evenings were completely free if you skip the million optional and overpriced tours and shows (you should use this time and explore on your own, the guides know as much as you do). But, the daytime itinerary leaves much to be desired.
Each day begins early (7:00AM pickups on Day 1, 5:00AM departure for the Grand Canyon, 8:00AM departure the third day), and the activities are unnecessarily rushed. For those wanting to experience world-class nightlife of Vegas, this isn't ideal.
The tour spent a total of 4 hours at outlets, but only one hour at the Grand Canyon. There's no way around this. Also, the drive from LV to Grand Canyon is 5 hours each way. So 10 hours of driving, an additional $25 per person (unexplained, was not a park fee as we thought), and only 1 hour to see the view with the driver threatening he will leave at 60 minutes on the dot regardless of who is in the vehicle. People with children or older patrons deeply regretted the 5 hour drive each way in the small van.
They will try to sell you the West Rim of the Grand Canyon over the South Rim. It is 3 times the price, and the South is unanimously agreed to be the most beautiful. The West Rim is in the middle of an impoverished Indian Reservation and is unprotected and being destroyed by these tours. Be an informed traveler. Also, you can not photograph in most areas in the West...I think it's safe to assume that will be a disappointment for most every traveler.
Overall-AMAZING deal. The customer service before and after the tour is wonderful, and not representative of the rest of the tour. They will gladly help you, and we recommend speaking with them so you know exactly what to expect. Regardless, you cannot beat the price. Just consider it transportation and accommodation and expect nothing more.
You can read more about our experience and suggestions for making the most out of this tour where we wrote about it here: www.theborderlessproject.com
The tour was awesome for the price! If you want a quick travel to Vegas and Grand Canyon, this will be great for you.
There are only three things I recommend the tour company to change: the Chocolate Factory stop (or just spending less time there), the outlet stops (I would stop more time on the first outlet instead of in the second, which is smaller), and also I would spend a little more time at the Grand Canyon (perhaps seeing it from two or three other points, because it is a long travel to get there).
I had a great time and I loved our guides, they are knowledgeable and very nice, and also the drivers!
A well managed trip. Worth the money. The stops at the shopping malls were a bit too long at times. Two hours is too much, but you can do a lot of shopping as well because the stores do have good discounts and awesome stuff. But overall, really happy with the trip! Definitely recommend
Anyone who wants to visit Nevada and Arizona's major tourist attractions should avail this tour. The cost is cheap and the hotel and the bus used are superb. Las Vegas is awesome and for nature lovers, the Grand Canyon is a must see.
After I booked the Tour and Choose the South Rim as my Optional Tour, and Receiving a confirmation by mail. when I go on the Tour the Guide told me that it is not available, so Either I have a free day in the Las Vegas, or I'll go to the west Rim Instead. So I had to go to the West Rim.
The trip was good since they covered a lot of places in 3 days.. we went to South Rim from Las Vegas and it was nice. The night tour in Vegas was nice and the guide, Michael, covered most of the places.
I have been to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas before but I was on vacation and wanted something to do for a few days and see the Grand Canyon. The trip was worth it for the price. Let someone else do the driving. You drive in to Vegas the first day and have time to spend the evening exploring the city if you choose or take the night tour for an additional fee. We decided to catch a show. The next day starts pretty early, but you go to the Grand Canyon and get back around 6:00PM if you go to the South Rim. If you aren't too tired, you get to spend free time in the evening. The tour guide Sam was the best. The group was primarily Chinese but there were a few from the United Kingdom and other countries, so the guide was sure to speak both Mandarin and English. He made sure we all had the best trip. The only issue was that on the day we rode a different bus to the Grand Canyon, some had to use the bus restroom as an emergency and the bus had a bit of a smell for while. Otherwise the trip was great.
Our tour guide, Eva, tried to accommodate both Chinese and English speakers, although sometimes I heard a few minutes of non-stop Chinese and just a few sentences of English and I wondered what was going on. While she was friendly, she seemed rather rude at first; she didn't use "please" and spoke briefly and as if she was scolding you. Perhaps that's absolutely normal for Chinese people.
Accommodation was absolutely great. There were 3 of us on the tour and we got 2 big beds that would fit 4 people. You totally shouldn't worry about this at all. Plus, going up the Stratosphere tower is free and the view is, I promise, extraordinary. Going downtown from Stratosphere hotel is also really easy since the bus comes quite often right at the side of the hotel and a bus pass costs only $6-8.
This being said, while it's nice to have the night tour in Las Vegas (paying $25), I would recommend using the time to explore the city on your own. The tour started at 5:30pm and ended at 9:00pm. Much of the time spent was on waiting for everyone to get on the bus and worrying we would be late for the bus. 2 evenings is enough to explore the city (mainly South Las Vegas Boulevard and Old Town), and a 24-hour bus pass will serve you well. You can spend as much time as you want at places that you find interesting. I expected the night tour to be informative of the city, but they just took us to see different places- Treasure Island, the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, which is not worth seeing, and the Old Town. I was hoping they took us to Bellagio, Paris, etc. but we only drove past it. I regret taking the night tour, to be honest.
The Grand Canyon trip was okay. We only had an hour there (10 hours driving in total), but that's totally understandable. It's far from Las Vegas and the schedule was tight. It gave me an impression, however, and I'm definitely visiting again at some point.
Overall, taking the price into consideration, the trip was worthwhile. I can't expect more with the price I paid and the fact that I'm an international student who doesn't have a driver's license. However, if you've already spent money to come to the West Coast and if you can drive, take some time to DIY and spend a couple of days at the Grand Canyon trying the helicopter ride and the trail.
But as per the price and time, this tour is great.
Yes I will surely recommend this tour to all my friends. We are really satisfied with this tour. As always, we are avid fans of this 3 day Las Vegas tour... The tour guide Sam is so nice and very professional. We enjoyed this tour, keep up the good work! 5 Star for all!
We had this tour for four people last September 10-12. The tour itself is inexpensive, the accommodation is great, and the tour guide, Danny, is very accommodating, very friendly, and is very knowledgeable of the different spots that we went. The only complaint we have is the frequent bus transfer. It started out when we were going to go to Las Vegas, then the following day when we were going to the Grand Canyon. Hopefully they will have a system that those from the same bus would stick together until the very end of the tour, just like the other tour companies that we had tours with.
For the price I got, this tour package is recommended, provided there are some improvements made.
First day was a journey to Vegas and in between some shopping, which was good.Took the night tour and it was okay, as the time the tour started was 6:00 PM which was a bit odd as Vegas night should have started in the night around 7:30 PM.
Second day tour to Grand Canyon South Rim was okay, as we were able to see only one view point due to time constraints for the driver. What I suggest is this tour should have been an overnight stay at Grand Canyon, as people hardly get to explore Grand Canyon. Also on the way back to Hover Dam, the bus was not stopped at the correct location to take pictures, instead it stopped close to a store which was surprising. Also, the third day return should have started in the afternoon or evening without stopping at the Chocolate Factory, as I think that was not a place to visit.
I suggest this tour only if the above mentioned improvements are made.
This tour was really great! I got to see the wonder of the Grand Canyon, especially when we went to the skywalk, which was AWESOME. The tour guide was also good. Hope to have another tour with this company!
I have taken this tour twice and I love it. My tour guy is Daniel, and had a very professional manner and was knowledgeable and very helpful too. I already recommended to my friends and relatives! I used to travel from East coast a long time ago, and now is West coast. Thank you.
The tour was very good. Guides were knowledgeable and overall service quality and timeliness was very good. Vehicle was clean and of good quality. All promised items were covered.
However, I had a bad experience on drop at hotel after the tour finished. While we were in the city around 5.00 pm, and within 10 miles of my hotel, I was finally dropped at the hotel at 8.15 pm. Had to wait 30+ min in open parking lot for a switch of vehicle, then transfer luggage, saw my hotel pass by on the way but the operator chose to go to a farther place first and decided to drop my family the last. No satisfactory explanation was provided on query. The delay was too much, since I had another itinerary to begin at 7.00 am next day. Strongly recommend reviewing this aspect and improve it, based on my experience.
I went with my wife and took this tour, It's nice not to drive, but be ready to spend more money tips are not included, when you choose Grand Canyon there is a charge of 28 per person to go to East Grand Canyon Rim and if you pick the West is more expensive and is NOT included on your fees.I suggest call the company once you are there you just have no other choice but to pay more money, but the trip is good, but they need to clarify that there are hidden fees
My family took the 3-day Las Vegas tour with Willy Yu as our tour guide. Willy did a fantastic job. He was funny, friendly, patient, and very helpful. He took the time to talk to each group of travelers and answer our questions. We were on a bus made up of very few English-speaking travelers with the rest of the group made up mostly of Chinese nationals so it was wonderful that Willy translated all his Chinese announcements to English. Unfortunately, on Grand Canyon day, our group ended up on the bus with Paul and Daniel as our tour guides. They both barely bothered to translate their Chinese announcements. All I can remember Paul saying was "wake up, wake up". And neither seemed to have the patience to be helpful.
Las Vegas city is wonderful. A very attractive place to go. I went there twice and this time i enjoyed a lot. For the tour guide, he is very punctual and on time. Actually i faced two problems with the organization, the first is that i booked two tickets and got the third, for my son, for free, then i was asked to pay a service fee for him which is not expected for a 7 year old boy. The second problem was with the tour guide when he refused to give me the seats arrangements unless i pay him the service fee first! And when i began to argue with him that the child is free ,he asked for a proof for that which provoked me on the last day of the trip. I general, the trip is fine and the optional shows are wonderful, but the hotel is a bit far from the hotels area.
It was a good tour but I wish we had more time at the Grand Canyon. My tour guide, Michael, was a very nice guy. He did very good job and was very responsible on his work. He gave us all the information we should know. I don't remember the driver's name, but he drove very smoothly and safely. Overall, we are very happy with your company and your people. Thank you!
We took the tour on 15th Dec to 18th Dec. Though the tour was claimed to be the bi-lingual tour, tour guide was only stressing on Chinese. If he talks 30 mins in Chinese, he would talk only 3-5 mins in English. There was no attention at all to the non-Chinese customers. If you don't know Chinese then donot take this tour.
The bus used for the transportation was not clean and seats were broken. While coming back to LA, i was given the Seat No 10 and that seat was broken and couldn't be pushed back. Even after informing the tour guide he was not taking any action on it.
The bad part of the tour was the drop-off. If you are drop-off location is LA downtown, then you will get a free chance to see the entire LA outskirts.
The tour was overall good. The tour Guides and the Drivers were very courteous, entertaining, Informative and helped the visitors with proper guidance and answers. The Night tour though charged additional was worth the bucks. If not for it, we would have never covered so much in the stipulated time and the heavy July 4th Crowd. Buses used in the transportation was well maintained and we don't have any complaints. Three cheers for the Take tours team. I would strongly recommend this tour to my Friends.
Our tour guide was very patient. I can really say he did some research about the history of the places we visited. I always recommend to the first timers to take GotoBus whenever they want to go for vacation. It is really easy, cheap and for sure you will enjoy it.
Our guides Daniel and Derek have been perfect: the entire schedule has been kept down just in time exactly. They were careful: Daniel had called us, me and my son in advance to the Tour to say where we would meet at Union Station LA.
Daniel and Derek are naturals at narrating the information about the Mojave Desert, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon. There was something new to tell the travelers and always impressive e.g. Derek has told us that Las Vegas uses as much power per day as a small town per year!
Our driver, Julio, is a true professional that drove our tour bus like a Formula 1 race car and was always just in time.
Our trips companions came from New York and China (and other places) while we came from Los Angeles. All of us were very friendly respectful and disciplined company.
Mojave Desert, Las Vegas, and of course Grand Canyon are Wonders of the World that are unforgettable. You have to come once more again to experience the wonder, beauty and the snazzy fun that all of these places are!
The Stratosphere Hotel was absolutely amazing with people base jumping off of the 108th floor. The “Newtown” and “Oldtown” Las Vegas are both brilliant in each of their ways. And the Grand Canyon… What more is there to say about the Grand Canyon but that it must be experienced through reality rather than tiny post cards?
This is a once in a life time experience and it was sad to leave.
Nevertheless, brilliant and amazing!
We took the bus to Las Vegas early in the morning. I have been there once before so I knew a few things about this city. But this time with a professional guided toured, it revealed another meaning of the city. Somebody says, Las Vegas is one man-made miracle in desert. It sleeps quietly in day time, while wakes up at night. When I walked in the city with modern buildings built up around me, especially during the night time, I truly felt the beauty of this city. It is quite hard for me to believe that the city is at the center of a desert. We visited Venetian Hotel, watched the volcano show at Mirage Hotel and the fountain show at Belligo. I watched them before but every time I watched them I found something fresh. Moment later we visited the old town Las Vegas. What impressed me there was a 400 meters huge screen which costs 250 million dollars to build. We got up early in the next day and drove to Grand Canyon which is one of the seven natural wonders in the world. It is a living history book tells the growth of earth. Only the people who see it with their own eyes can tell its’ real beauty. The three-day tour, from night city Las Vegas to natural wonder Great Canyon, will be an unforgettable experience for any visitor.
