My family and I had a very good experience with Take Tour.com . It was very educational and fun. Their services are excellent.

I picked up this tour just to go away from the city for a while. I liked tour very much mostly because of my guide - Gary. He is very highly organized and knowledgeable person. We all knew, what to do and when to do exactly. I learned many new facts during this trip. I know this is very hard and nervous work. However he was always positive, his nice mood spreaded to everyone. By the end of the tour I thought I knew this guy for a long time.
The tour system itself is also very organized. Starting the moment I purchased and then received friendly reminder and was picked up on time and dropped off. The only delays were just because of some people who were always late. However we made it in time (thanks driver?)
It's AFFORDABLE! And it worth each penny. I recommend this tour!
Cons? Well, just to be fair glasses in the bus should be cleaned. Second, I was bored of fast food soon, but it's not your fault. Thanks for buffet on second day! :)
This tour met all the expectations required by the customers as we travelled over 1300 miles safely across the various states. Boris the tour guide was excellent and extremely friendly. He also explained all the important details that were to be known based on the places we visited. The accommodation was nice for both nights and was well worth it for the price that we paid. Please note that the price only included accommodation and transport. There is an additional service fee, price for the attractions and meals. Once again this tour was extremely worth it and there was so much done in so little time that would have been challenging to do by yourself.
Everything was well planned and executed on time. Tour guide James was very helpful, polite and spoke very good English. Accommodation was kind of average though we stay only for sleeping in the night. Felt like we were travelling for most of the times. Experience at Niagara was too good. Overall i enjoyed the trip.
Recently I have enjoyed the 3-days tours (Niagara Falls, WashingtonDC, Philadelphia, Watkins Glen). This package tour is excellent and cheapest. Our tour leader "Jake Yang" is a very talented and friendly guide. He has excellent geographical and historical knowledge who is explaining the facts about each and every spot that we have visited. Also, he is very entertaining during travel in the bus. The hotel accommodations are in top class hotels like Radisson, Conform Inn etc. The TakeTours total expense is very cheapest. Definitely, I will recommend this package to my friends. I will book another package with my family to another destination in future.
Our Guide Davina was so lovely and fun! Perfect English with great explanations of the history and about the sights. The tour was fast paced but still enough time to see all the attractions, with lots of free time at Niagara. Accommodation exceptional for the price.
An excellent tour. I do not know how you provide such excellent services at such a low price. The tour guide Leslie was very good, although she should try to keep the group together. The hotels were very nice. And I saw sights that I would never have been able to see on my own. Thank you, TakeTours for this wonderful opportunity. A word of advice. The Secret Cavern and Watkins Glen State Park are physically very strenuous and elderly customers should be advised of this.
The tour was overall very good. Our tour guide Trista was knowledgeable and she provided information about restroom breaks, what to see, when to see, recommendations about picture spots etc. this helped us to manage the tour better. The bus was ok, seats provided to me was broken which caused inconvenience. even though the bus has restroom it was locked, which turned out to be a good thing as I was sitting next to the door.
Hotel @ Niagara was excellent quality and had 2 queen size beds, coffee maker, iron, tv etc. the 2nd hotel red roof in Washington was having 2 full-size beds. iron and coffee maker was missing. the microwave was missing in both hotels.
attractions get enough time to see, still, if you are photo enthusiast then you have to rush a lot.
Washington DC Cruise tour is a waste of money, nothing is seen except the airport, don't opt for it.
same is the experience about white house, we were kept almost 500 feet away and had only a few bars visible to click a photo.
the space museum is a must visit, though, do give yourself 45mins to visit each counter
last word, it's a lot of travel plus all attraction fee + their service charges + a common lunch and dinner with tour guide goes around $175 hence do carry enough cash.
Facing Language issue with tour guide[Barely speaks proper English] but apart from that it was okay for price you pay. I would recommend for first timer to do quick review of places. And then you can pick place you need to explore more.
This tour is definately worth the money especially if you are not living in and around NY, you can visit NY and take this
tour to visit sorrounding places as well.
Our tour guide Diva Zhao was friendly/patient and did good job in covering most of the places, though the trip was tight schedule.
I would recommend this tour to my friends as well..
My tour guide Olivia was the best. She is the reason that I am taking another tour!!! The trip was great, you have enough time to see what is needed to see, and I love the fact that you have enough time to eat. Will definitely be going on another tour soon!!
It was an amazing experience with the TakeTour. The guide and other companions were very co-operative. It was completely diverse, so we had fun knowing each other and sharing some beautiful memories. Thank you for making it a perfect tour!
First of all kudos to our guide YOYO...she is very patient and friendly with the travellers. She explains each and every attraction amd planned very well. Though we didnt get much time to cover well in Philly & DC but Niagara and Watkins Glen are the best and not to miss them. Accomdation in DC was not up to the mark but in Niagara was awesome. Overall the trip was very good and will remain in our memories.
It was a great tour. Tour guide Jim did wonderful job. We've seen some beautiful places and our tour guide made it even more interesting by explaining everything about attractions and their history. I would recommend this tour to my friends
Our tour guide Diana is very knowledgeable and shared lot of information clearly about each attraction. She is the best tour guide in the tours that we took in the last two years. I had already recommended my friend and will do again.
I would like to mention about our guide Olivia who is so patient and friendly in our tour. Even though she has some problems in taking every body together, she was so patient and organized. She handled this tour very well and I believe she is good in person. I would like to thank her for what she has done to me and my family. Thank You Olivia we liked you very much and hope take tours will bring tour guides like you.
Our three day trip to the Niagara Falls was WONDERFUL!!! Everything about it was just amazing. Jake Yang was our tour guide, and without him it wouldn't have been the same. He made everybody feel like family, he is very professional, a really nice person, we loved him!! And we definitely recommend this trip, and we want to do this again soon!!!
It was a great tour, I definitely recommend it, the tour guide Peter was great; really caring and helpful, the hotels were really good and also the transportation with Wi-Fi service. I would definitely take more tours here.
We took 3-day tour with Dora You. We really appreciate her service mind and useful guide info.
Also, we love the Niagara Falls program very much.
In addition, our second night at Best Western Hotel Baltimore was perfect.
We had a great time with TakeTour for Niagara-DC-Philadelphia. It was well organized and guided tour. Tour guide Angela had managed it so well. Though time given was not sufficient for each attraction, we missed few due to hurry in leaving.
Definitely, will recommend this to my friends.
It was good experience specially with family. The crew was very accommodative and supportive specially when my father was having difficulty in walking. The only suggestion I have is to have active mobile charging facility and TV.
We took 3 day Phili-WashingtonDC-Niagra tour. I highly recommend this tour. It is great way to cover all major attractions in east coast. The hotels were very clean. And out tour guide Stone was helpful.
This is a tour I would highly recommend. The organization was well done, timing of each event was crucial and efficient, the tour guide was personable, patient, and professional. His attitude put everyone at ease. The bus was comfortable, all sightseeing and visits to the different places exceeded expectation/ Accommodation was good and, above all, the price was right
I'm writing this review represent as my mom. This is her first tour in America, and she said it was awesome, especially the tour guide Simon Chen. My mom is the only one who doesn't speak English in the entire group, but Simon kindly gave another tour guide in Chinese for my mom for every stop. With the help of Simon, my mom didn't encounter any language trouble. He even found my mother a companion for her next trip to the West Coast. The other tourists are nice as well, they help taking photos of my mom. The schedule is a little bit tight, but it keeps the group away from the crowd, which is great. Overall I recommend this tour.

we are taken 3days tour for Niagara FalWe went on tour for the first time. We have a lot of fun. Having fun on the bus. Returned in the entire Tour, ate, saw, and fun, to relax. Our tour guide's name was Jaine. She made us a better guide. Many also ask if they're explained well.ls, Washington, DC, Philadelphia.
Fui a las Cataratas del Niagara y el viaje fue excelente, muy organizado y los lugares de descanso estaban bien.Recomiendo este tour como obligatorio, en una visita a New York por precio, calidad y responsabilidad.
Overall trip was awesome experience. Some of the attractions mentioned on itinerary were not part of the trip. Secret Caverns and some other attractions could be excluded and more attractions from Washington DC should be added to trip.
just returned from a great trip. Our Professional tour guide Cecilia, packed everyday with Fun & excitement. Hotels were good, clean and welcoming. Because of Holiday Weekend, roads were closed in DC but Cecilia was in full control of the group and leaded the way to a successful departure. Chris the driver, navigated through DC like a Pro. Hope you're lucky to travel with Cecilia too, you will have a great time. Mike Misko
This tour was amazing. We were able to cover most of the attractions because of its well-organized itinerary and a very energetic Tour guide TIM. We had ample time to visit and enjoy all the attractions. Special mention for TIM as he was the key in holding this tour a memorable one for us to remember.
Thank you for this Amazing review and we are happy to know you had an amazing time.
Great Tour . Our guide Jack was exceptional. Always willing to help and accommodate and taking care of schedule. Although last day was a hiccup due to rains and blocks at DC, he managed well. Overall an excellent experience and worth the money spent.
It makes us smile every time we read that our customers enjoy the tours. Thanks, Ajitkumar!
Must have trip if you don't have much time and want to cover many places and attractions. Wish I got some more time for Niagara Falls Night view. Also, the Thundering Water Cultural Show was canceled by the locals. Other than that, it was pretty awesome experience. Our Tour Guide Jane was pretty efficient and she managed things pretty well. She was more like our school/college teachers who had every tourist under control and she shared a lot of information about the places. Despite our bus met with an unfortunate accident while towards Niagara and around 3 hours were wasted, she made sure that none of the planned attractions visit were canceled. Overall, highly satisfied.
We are thrilled to know about your experience in the tour. Thanks for sharing!
Tour was great! Boris is a great tour guide, he accommodates you very well and follow itinerary, very nice to everyone, gives you enough time for all the attractions. Our bus was a little old that was the only complaint I have. Great hotels as well.
Thanks Yuderka for sharing this review online. We are happy to know about your experience in the tour.
Boris the tour guide did a great job managing the large group. Definitely worth the ticket price. Would suggest skipping corning glass museum but all the other attractions were definitely great value for money. The best was the maid of the mist but the Niagara old fort was very good too.
Bus could be better with charging points but the accommodation was great considering what we paid for this tour. Would definitely recommend this tour to those planning to go for Niagara.
It's very nice to hear that you were happy with the tour guide, price, and accommodation. Thanks Karthik!
What a great tour it was. Just awesome . I would like to start with our guide Doris. She was really great. Very cooperative and lucky to have her on our trip. She understand each one on the board and handled everybody really great. Then coming back to actual trip, as I said it was great. Me and my wife enjoyed it a lot. It was well organized. Accommodation was 200% more than expectation. They made sure that both the hotels provide complimentary break fast. Only suggestion for the strictly vegetarian travelers like me and my wife, make sure you have backup plans ready for lunch and dinner. Because, it will be some times difficult to find veggie food at lunch and dinner halt places. Honestly, we faced it only once. But for that I would not consider trip organizer responsible at all. Another good thing is they are strict about timings. So make sure you adhere the departure time what tour guide has mentioned to you. Finally, talking about the places, Yes we did visit so many places in three days. Overall, it was fantastic trip and kudos for the TakeTours for this. Btw, some times make sure you distract yourself when Mr. Driver uncle is not cooperative. ;)
We are happy to hear you had an awesome time.
After reading the trip advisor reviews for this tour I was a little worried, but it was actually well organised and enjoyable. The accommodation was great, and you get to see a lot in a short space of time which was ideal for me. Only criticism is that there are currently building works at horseshoe falls so you can't see them from the American side (luckily I could walk to Canada).
I recently just got back from the 3-day Niagara Falls tour.
Before anything else, I would like to clarify some things based on my experience:
1. The price you pay for in this site is only for accommodation and transportation. You still have to pay for the entrance fees of the attractions you will visit.
2. The availability of the attractions depends on the season and the weather. Before you book the tour, inquire about the availability of the attractions or ask for a specific itinerary.
3. The $8 per person/ per day is NOT a tip. It's a service fee. It's a mandatory payment because, like I said in No. 1, you only pay for accommodation and transportation.
4. Do not take this tour if you want to take your time in every place you will visit. You will have a limited time in every destination. If you want to enjoy every moment of every place, come back to the places you've visited and stay there for 3 days or more. This is a quick tour running on a tight schedule.
5. You have to be quick on your feet and plan ahead. You are given 10-15 minutes for bathroom breaks during stopovers, 30 minutes - 1 hour for meals, again during stopovers. Before reaching a point in the itinerary, you are told how long you will be staying there and what you will be doing there. Use the information given to you so you can plan in advance.
6. Don't be that person who is always late in getting on the bus. You are running on a tight schedule. Don't drag the other people down because you want to take your time.
7. Always bring cash! Some establishments do not take credit.
Now for my review:
1. TOUR GUIDE
Our tour guide was Boris. His English may need improvement, but we can still understand whatever he says. He quick in planning an alternative schedule due to problems. Like the time we missed our boat schedule in Niagara Falls because some of the tourists took too long to prepare in the hotel, Boris managed to revise the schedule so that we won't miss out on the itinerary for that location. He always makes sure we were comfortable and never fails to say to us to enjoy our time or our meals. During our hotel stay, he would stay in the lobby until all our concerns were satisfied. He always keeps an eye out for us so that we don't get lost or we won't be left out (although there are some stubborn people who would stray away from the group).
The hotel accommodation is pretty good. We were lucky to have complimentary breakfast in all our hotel stay. If we had problems with your room, Boris was there to help with it.
Our driver, Chris, is very professional. It was smooth-sailing throughout the trip. The seats of the bus are okay, but maybe those who are tall or are big might feel uncomfortable with them. Ventilation in the bus was okay, except maybe for the last hour of our trip. Either way, I'd still give five stars.
We went to Secret Caverns, Fort Niagara, Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist, Corning Glass Museum and Washington Cruise. These are attractions requiring entrance fee. Out from all of these, I'd say that the Secret Caverns was really unnecessary. Those I failed to mention were unavailable due to weather.
The Niagara Falls Park is free of charge, although you have to pay for the observation deck to get a good view of the falls. If you don't want to pay, the park offers a nice view for the photo op. We also went to Washington for the several monuments there (free of charge) and stayed for almost two hours in an area surrounded by museums (the museums are also free of charge). And we went to Philadelphia and got a glimpse of the Liberty Bell. We were lucky that we got there 15 minutes before the gallery closes.
Overall, I'd say the tour is worth it. If you are looking for a quick tour, this is for you. As I said, this tour has a strict schedule. If you want to immerse yourself in the culture of those places, it's better to stay in those places for a week or so rather than taking this tour.
I really, REALLY recommend Boris as a tour guide and Chris as a bus driver.
The tour was a new experience for me. I didn't know if I was going to enjoy long bus ride with so many people, Max our tour guide made it very pleasant for my wife and I and informative. I will be looking forward to going on my next tour.
Really enjoyed our tour from New York to Niagara Falls and Washington with our guide Max making it extra special. Max is very informative and fun to be with. He made my birthday a day to remember by singing Happy Birthday to me. Thank you to Max and our careful driver. Regards, Lynne, Bryan and Jessie from Chesterfield, UK
Well we braced ourselves for this intensive 3-days of travelling and sightseeing and it was much as we expected. A cheap, no frills tour that pretty much did what it said on the tin. Couple of points to note though - our tour guide Eddy was a lovely chap, but his accent was so thick that we as English speakers had trouble understanding him a lot of the time, so goodness knows how others coped. Also, the last day was very rushed. Had we arrived back in NY at the advertised 9pm instead of the actual 7.30pm, we could have had a whole hour and a half more in Washington and/or Philadelphia, which were very, very short on time. Overall though, a good, well organised tour, thank you!
Sue & Alan (UK)
The driver gave us a safe drive and Tour Guide Max Liang gave us the best service. It was a nice tour. Time is well managed. Hotels are great. The only food place in Niagara Falls welcome center is the worst and 3 times expensive. The attractions are beautiful. Good Value for your money. Overall it was a fabulous trip.
Our guide Grace, she was not so happy about her job. Every times, she gave a ticket to our group, after that she always disappeared. She had no communication with us,when I has a question i could not find her. She could not control our group, most of people in this group always late at least 10-25 minutes. The last day I was so upset, Grace gave us only 15 minutes for the Liberty bell ans also used the bathroom. Most of people need to used the bathroom, so we missed the Liberty bell. Only 6 rooms of the bathroom and so many many people there. This tour should not arrange to Philadelphia because no time at all. Grace also not flexible, we stayed in the bus for 3 hours already and most people wanted to used the bathroom, she didn't care at all.
This is my first time to joined take tour and i was disappointed. My tour leader could not control the time. We always late every time that we made a stop. At least 10-25 mins late!! And every time she gave all the tickets, she always disappeared. She had no communication with a group,no service mind. Last stop at Liberty bell, we only had 15 minutes to visited and we have to choose between restroom or see the Liberty. There only 6 restrooms and all the tour is came there at the same time. You should not arrange the tour, only 15 minutes, it's nothing we can do. However, hotel was great.
I enjoyed this tour very much. Boris, our tour guide, definitely handled this tour very well. He made sure that we followed the itinerary so that we won't cut our time short to enjoy the tour. He even bought us breakfast for the third day just to make sure we won't be hungry. Thanks to Boris and to our driver for taking care of us during this tour. Definitely worth it and highly recommended!
We had very mixed feelings with this tour. For a start the advertising is very misleading. Nowhere does it mention that the tour is specifically organised just for Asians. All food stops were organised just for the Asian customers. I told the tour guide Michael that I have life threatening seafood allergies and he really couldn't of cared less. We had to make our own arrangements with extra costs for taxis. The worst experience was when we were picked up at the airport and the second driver spoke no English whatsoever and refused to make any attempt to let us know what was happening. We weren't taken on the night tour as advertised and spent two hours on the shuttle bus not knowing what was happening. The second distressing event was when I misplaced my wallet that had $1000 in it, all my credit cards and passports. As soon as I realised I rang Michael and asked could we look in the bus, it was only about an hour after we arrived to the hotel . He told me no and that I'd have to wait until the morning as he said the bus driver was asleep, he didn't even attempt to see if he was awake. We also had to endure hours on end of listening to Mandarin. I didn't feel that Michael deserved the tip, he was rude and spoiled our experience. The hotels were lovely, the itinerary good, although a lot of time in the bus and not enough time at the venues. The longest time we were given was an hour and a half. False advertising at its worst!
I was traveling alone so I was a little apprehensive...but I must say it was a very enjoyable trip. The people on the bus were very friendly, the tour guide on our bus (James) was so professional and went out of his way to help and accommodate everyone and the bus driver was always on time and got us everywhere safely. Frequent stops were made for us to eat and use bathroom facilities. The places and sites visited were exciting and beautiful and plenty time given to enjoy them and our tour guide was very knowledgable with all types of facts for our knowledge.
The best value for money tour I ever had. Food stops are good as we are Asians. Time is well managed and has maximized it. Places visited were all great. Activities during the bus trip are lively, we never get dull during trips. I am recommending this to friends and we are planning to go next year.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for such a brilliant tour. This was the first time doing a group tour and I don't think I could have asked for anything better!
Everyone on the group was very friendly, the locations were above and beyond what I had hoped for, and having such a helpful and knowledgeable tour guide (Boris) just made the whole trip perfect.
An excellent trip. Tour guide, James, was quite energetic and efficient. He planned and timed the attraction visits so well that we had just enough time for all of them. Driver, Gary, was amazing..he was behind the wheels 3 days in a row and the drive was quite smooth (one of the smoothest I have ever been). I would really recommend both. Keep in mind that the attractions are optional though the guide might not specify that. I wouldn't recommend the imax movie and you may better of spending that near the falls. The Niagara jet boat ride was amazing. Keep at least $180/head for the attractions. First night stay in Holiday Inn was great. Second night in Red Roof inn was also good but the hotel smelt badly of smoke. Overall good value for money if you want to cover many destinations in a short while. I would definitely recommend.
This is "best bang for the buck" tour. Guide tries her very best to keep everyone on time and she succeeds greatly despite occasional late comers. There is a genuine earning on the company and guides part to keep customers happy covering as many places as possible and makes the most of every trip.
I enjoyed this tour and am looking forward to going on the next one in the future. If you're planning on going, please do so!! It was a lot of fun and you will get to see so many new places in a matter of days. My tour guide, Shelly, and bus driver were excellent and super nice. We had very nice hotel rooms to stay in on both nights. At the second hotel they even gave us free breakfast in the morning. My tip would be to not buy all the tickets for events and attractions. You will be able to save money by picking and choosing what you want to see and do at these places. My family and I opted out of seeing a few of the attractions and this gave us time to explore Niagara Falls and Washington DC on a more personal level. I appreciated the fact that the tour guide was very informative and gave us a lot of history about these sites. We also had several bathroom breaks and a few minutes to get a feel of each rest stop area. They were all beautiful spots. The only bad experience I had on the trip was going to the Chinese restaurant on the second night for dinner. If you don't like Chinese food, save your money and opt out of the buffet option. There are local stores nearby to eat what you prefer. And don't worry about getting lost because the tour guide and bus are always close by to each destination and will make sure you a counted for before leaving. I really loved that! I thought Old Fort, Niagara was absolutely beautiful, so do purchase the In Depth Niagara tour attraction from the list. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and have a ton of pictures to remember this road trip!
Overall tour is good. But guide must say about optional tours with full descriptions. Like at Watkins Glen she informed us that you have to go down down only but did not explain that we had to down stairs approximately 250-300 steps. For people who have knee problems. it's very difficult. One more thing for this particular thing, he is in a hurry to go to pick up. He is supposed to stay for 10-15 minutes, if someone does not want to go step down so many steps.
All other things were good. Why $8 per person? After taking this tour, I took another tour also but everywhere $7.
Enjoyed the tour very much. Following are some of the pros and cons that I would like to highlight.
1) The tour was very well planned.
2) The tour guide and driver were kind and friendly.
3) Covered as many spots as possible in the 3 day tour .
4) Hotel accommodations provided on both the days were good and decent.
5) Trip is worth the money spent, as we are taken to numerous locations and destinations.
1) Closure of some of the places of interest were not informed in advance. i.e., we weren't aware that Maid of the Mist was closed and only realized after we took the tour.
This is by far the best tour that my brother and sister-in-law took. Sean Lv is an amazing tour conductor. He made sure all the passengers are comfortable and gave them the restroom break every 2-4 hours during the travel. They covered so much during the 3 days trip that it is beyond comparison with any tour company. A must go trip. 5 star rating from us. Will be using them in future too.
It was a good experience but in the end it becomes very exhaustive. Starting from day 1 until day 3 you are out from 7am to 9:30pm. Also, these guys are too strict about timings and will never compromise. It's not possible to spend some personal time or even have a drink at the bar in the evening. Schedule is too tight but it was well managed and coordinated by our tour guide, Jane. She did a good job. Niagara Falls was the main attraction of the tour. Don't expect too much from DC. One could hardly get a glimpse of the White House. I think people who are not comfortable with long journeys, can go for only Niagara Falls tour instead of this 3 day tour.
My wife, daughter and I went for this 3 day tour in September 2015. Overall, I would recommend this tour.
Trip includes $8 per day service charge to be paid in cash for each traveler including children.
1. You get to see a number of famous attractions.
2. Secret Caverns was fun. Watkins Glen State Park trail too was good. But overall, I would recommend a 2 day tour as the DC-Philadelphia leg is not that exciting.
3. Tour guide - Sally was our guide, she is super efficient and friendly.
4. Driver was very good, drove smoothly the entire trip.
5. Bus stops every 2 hours or so for loo break or to have food.
6. Nice and comfortable hotels.
1.Thundering Water Cultural Show at Niagara (optional) is pathetic, so please don't go for it.
2. Each day, the tour leaves too early, so difficult to catch up on sleep. And they are very strict about timings, so make sure you adhere to it.
3. DC-Philadelphia trip was rather boring (White House is seen from a far distance), so maybe a 2 day trip to Niagara is better.
Among the paid attractions, we were taken to:
1. Maid of the Mist (Excellent)
2. Niagara Falls In-Depth Tour (Good)
3. Thundering Water Cultural Show ( VERY POOR)
4. Secret Caverns (Good)
5. Potomac River Cruise ( Not worth, especially if you have been to Maid of Mist,Liberty Statue or Chicago boat river cruise)
6. Watkins Glen State Park (Good)
Niagara was the best. Just know you have to pay $8 per day for the tour guide. If Maid of the mist is closed please do not go on the tour. Overall the tour guide was great, spoke English properly and was strict on timing. Please be advised they aren't joking about timing, there is a lot to do in three days so make sure you have another day to just rest. But overall a great trip.
Super trip. Just nice for 3 days.
Bus/journey - very comfortable. loo stops every 2.5 hours.
Hotels - first day we were at Comfort Inn - just superb! Second day, the hotel did not have a lift and had 2 blocks with odd and even number combinations. Some elderly co-passengers were having difficulty locating their rooms, had to climb up and down twice. Perhaps, some instructions/color coding upfront could help the tourists.
Food - we could find vegetarian food. Good variety for meat lovers.
Time at each place - well managed. Enough time to see the attractions.
Guide/Driver - Leslie was our guide. She was good. Friendly and approachable. Driver gentleman was awesome - he drove almost 14 hours a day smoothly. Great job folks! Hope to see you again in my next trip!
Overall - thumbs up!
The experience in general was very nice. A complete tour, with an excellent itinerary.
The bus is comfortable, although there is some pressure about the fact that you can not use the bathroom on it, fortunately the driver stops every 2-3 hours.
The hotels they chose were excellent, although we could not have breakfast in it because of the earliest departures.
The guide does not always accompany participants to the attractions, which could create some confusion in some cases. He sometimes just points out the attraction and puts a deadline for the bus to depart.
The stops for meals are short and give us little choice of restaurants, in some cases only Chinese food, which is hard for people who do not consume it.
These are the points that I understand should improve, but in general it was a very good tour.
The driver was amazing, on point, and on time. The whole tipping the driver- it should be just included on the pricing of the entire trip. The hotels were great, but you have to leave so early that you do not get the chance to even eat breakfast. So this company should provide snacks on the bus. Those are the only two negative points.
It was really nice experience. Attractions were very much tight scheduled, hotel is good, helpful tour guide and three days of complete fun with lot of memories to take home. Without any second thought, I will recommend to take this tour
I recommend this tour package. The trip was awesome, well organized very cost effective, nice hotel accommodation and timely breaks for food and bathroom. I was new to the USA and was wanting to have a trip and TakeTours helped in making it happen with this package. The tour guide was Vivian who organized the whole trip for us very well. Thank you Vivian for that. It was a good trip for those who want to enjoy the weekend without taking the stress of riding all the way up and from and waiting for the tickets, as all these are taken care by TakeTours.
The package amount will be including only the transport and hotel accommodation. The trip attraction fees will be collected separately on the first day. So make sure you carry sufficient cash in hand. It cost $138 for 3 days for all the attraction, it's a fair deal and again this is optional.
I was in this round from September 13 to September 15, 2015. It was really unforgettable! Interesting places, communication with beautiful, open and surprising people! Good hotels and quite good places for food! Especially Watkins Glen State Park, Niagara Falls, and Aerospace Museum in Washington DC was pleasant. Also, I recommend strongly to visit a memorial to the Korean War in Washington DC. It leaves so strong impression that he, alas, can't be transferred to a photo, words. It is only possible to see. Separately I want to thank our guide, Miao - he made a trip even more interesting and fascinating, than it could be. Remarkable guy! Next time surely I will go only with him :) Write him an award for such smart relation to the work! Also, thanks to our driver, unfortunately, I don't remember his name, for a safe and comfortable trip! :) Greetings from Russia! :)
This is the second time we were taking this tour. The itinerary is quite packed and is not suitable for families with small children or elderly people. The previous time we visited Howe Caverns which are more extensive and the whole underground tour was very organized. This time though it was the Secret Caverns instead. This place has very steep treacherous steps and is not well managed. It is dangerous as people use the same narrow path for entry and exit. Not worth it in my opinion. The other attraction that was not suitable to seniors was Watkins Glen. This is a trek down a mountain. There were several small beautiful falls along the way. The time given for this attraction was just enough to keep going at a quick canter constantly rather than stop to admire the scenic beauty around. At the end of this trek we were completely drained and exhausted. More of an extreme sport than leisurely sight seeing. The other point is that the accommodation while clean and comfortable did not include breakfast. We had to start very early in the morning and it would have been convenient to have a simple breakfast available at the hotel itself before setting out.
The guide had a very strong accent and poor English communication skills. It was very difficult to understand what he was saying and so we felt that we were missing out on important information.
All this being said, I would still recommend this tour to people who wish to pack the maximum possible within a short time span and moderate budget.
My wife and I really enjoyed Niagara (3 days US East Coast) tour. The tour was professionally managed by our guide Stefan. Driver, Orlando, was driving very smoothly, which give us good sleep time in the bus. Attractions selected were good. So my points: go to Stefan, Orlando, attractions and hotel. Just a request: if additional time is assigned to Corning Glass Museum, it would really make us enjoy creative glass work more. Thanks you for making our trip enjoyable.
We loved our experience of the East Coast tour. This package comprises of well selected tourist attractions for the U.S. East coast and was our #1 choice. Our tour guide, Stefan, did an excellent job at managing our schedule. He kept our journey enjoyable and was very professional in conduct.
We will recommend this tour for 3 reasons:
A- Well selected East Coast attractions,
B- Reasonably priced (gives you options to opt for specific attractions)
C- Stefan, our tour guide with great professional attitude and a lovable person.
We would love to go for another trip with TakeTours and Stefan.
The trip was what I expected, although it was very rushed and a lot of time spent on the coach.
It is a great tour if you don't mind rushing around the places in order to see a lot in a short space of time. The only part of the tour I wouldn't do again would be the cultural show at Niagara Falls. It was good but not worth the $20 for a ticket.
Max was a good tour guide with some good insights into the sights.
It's a really an excellent tour and really worth every buck you spent. Maid of the Mist tour is truly an awesome moment which you treasure for your life.
I would recommend to give some additional time for Washington DC and Philadelphia trips.
Tour was good. Our tour guide had good knowledge about the places we visited (Yinny).
Very good planning
Timely pickup and drops
Hotels were good
Travel time to hotel or a park was more then the time spent on the park.
Have to pay for all the places entry ticket whether we go or not
Yinni was an amazing guide. The schedule was always on track and gave us enough time to enjoy every sight included in this tour. I would recommend this trip to anybody whose not from the East Coast. *thumbs up* 5 stars to Yinni. Thank you!
I first thought our tour guide would be mean like a drill sergeant, then she started to warm up later into the trip. I LOVE YOYO! I would recommend her as a tour guide any day with the tour company. She was very insistent to everyone about being on the bus on time, and explaining why. It was agreeable that she was frustrated with the families or people who were late onto the bus because she wanted us to get our money's worth from the tour, WHICH WE DID! She was very well organized. She knew a lot about the history of the attractions we went to, but it was a LITTLE hard for me to understand her. Our driver, Frank, was also awesome for getting us to our places on time, close to it, or earlier. Our first hotel was fantastic! Motel 6 was okay, but usable. It made sense why we didn't use our bus toilet. We did get enough toilet breaks! OVERALL, I would recommend this tour to everyone and anyone!
The tour is overall a good experience. We could not see Secret Caverns as their was no electricity, however that's not tour organizer's fault. The accommodation was very nice, and one of the days it included free breakfast as well, which was a bonus. You can expect to get enough time to explore Niagara State Park with an evening view as well as beautiful morning. However, on the last day in Washington, Potomac river cruise was total waste of money. $25 bucks for each person is just waste of time and money. Also, the stopover for food on the last day is an international buffet (as they called it), however it was mostly non-vegetarian buffet at a Chinese restaurant for $16 which is again waste of money of a vegetarian person.
Apart from all these, the tour is well organized and a good experience.
It was a nice experience to view such beautiful places. My family really enjoyed it a lot. Bus toilet was not cleaned on time so it was bit stinking on the second day, but the driver and guide Eddie made every effort to provide good breaks for refreshing and cleaning arrangements. I also recommend bus seat pillows for such long bus journeys. Overall, it was fun and I would definitely recommend this trip.
Highlights: it's very cost effective, great accommodations (hotel), professional tour guide and driver. Overall is very comfortable, safe, and gives you background about the locations you're visiting.
Opportunities: need to bring cash for all payments. This is a very primitive practice; however, it's not a critical factor and possibly a New York issue.
I do recommend this tour company and I'm definitely coming back.
I recommend this tour package. Everything was on time, itinerary well organized, the tour guides Jack, and Lenny, very professional, the bus driver, Mr. Davis, from Texas, an excellent A+. You don't have to worry about driving, booking the hotels because accommodations are good. The restaurants or court food at our arrival in Niagara Falls are really expensive and bad food. Try to get some food before that stop. I got chicken, wraps, salads, snacks, sandwich in containers. There is a guy baking pizza at the main entrance of the food court. You can get it- a better choice instead of that food court. That is the only stop to eat that I won't ever recommend. I would take another tour again with this people. VERY PROFESSIONAL.
This tour was great and my family very much enjoyed it! Travel pillow is a must since you do spend several hours in a packed bus. Our tour guide was Jhonny, he was very funny and made our trip super enjoyable. Despite the fact that our A/C broke down, Jhonny made his best effort to keep the group calm (they eventually switched buses thankfully.) Avoid the Thundering Water Cultural Show its not worth the price, instead enjoy the Falls night view. Overall, completely recommend this to other people and friends.
Melhor CUSTO-BENEFICIO IMPOSSIVEL! - The trip was wonderful, the script was followed according to the itinerary. It was rushed, but very worth it. My family and I were very pleased because it would be impossible to visit so many beautiful places in so little time on our own. The hotels were ranked from good to great. We had several stops along the way to use bathrooms and convenience stores . The restaurants had Chinese style, but we relied on international buffets with accessible prices. We loved everyone! My group had families from different countries, and had a greater number of Chinese travelers. Nothing hindered the smooth progress of the trip. I do not recommend the Thundering Water Cultural Show when we arrived in the Niagara Falls at night. It was boring. Take the opportunity to eat early and rest. It was very worth the trip. I will never forget the beautiful places we visited. Top values IMPOSSIBLE!
Overall a bit hectic but an enjoyable tour. Boris as a guide was fantastic!! He is very knowledgeable and helpful. I just wished that we had more time in Philadelphia, as it looked more of a lunch stop than a tour stop.
I saw a couple of negative reviews online, so I was scared to book the tour initially. But since it was such a good deal and a time-saver, I went ahead.
The trip was really good and we were able to cover a lot in 3 days. It was not that hectic as I imagined. Boris was our guide, and he tried his best to make the trip a pleasant experience for all. Overall, I would recommend it to my friends who have short time and want to cover many spots.
Guides Aby ("All Right!! :)) and Grace were really nice to all travelers, and they gave good information about the attractions. It was well organized by them. One of the hotel where we stayed was not so good. Other than that, it was all good for a cheap rate. Thanks TakeTours.
We had a problem with the bus and therefore were stuck in Niagara Falls for much longer than expected. We had to skip two attractions on the way (Watkins Glen and the Corning Glass Museum) which was a pity. Other than that, i enjoyed the tour and the tour guide was good and friendly.
Miao and Joe were very friendly and professional.
I would highly recommended this tour.
Things that I will recommended is the bus should have USB to charge electronics and cellphones. And please fix the bus bathroom.
Tour guide was very nice, friendly, and helpful. First day accommodation was not good. Room air conditioning was not working properly. Second day hotel was very good and comfortable. Transportation is comfortable. Jet boat ride option was not given to us.
It was the most fantastic trip ever! My tour guide Leslie is so nice and friendly, smiled all time. I will give her 100 stars. And the driver was very very good, so smoothly did his job. Thank you so so much both of you.
The tour is value for your money and the tour guides were approachable and friendly.. accommodations were good and up to standard. Food is not fantastic for me (it depends on personal taste). Good itinerary, attractions... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The trip we had was a USA Independence day long weekend from July 3rd to 5th 2015. And because of that we came across many people traveling during the trip. I would like to appreciate our guide Mr. Wen who did his job so perfectly during our tour. It was a great trip for us. Each and every individual enjoyed the trip during the whole journey. I liked the way our guide was explaining the plan for each attraction. It was very clear. Hotels for two nights were outstanding. There were well planned stops for restrooms and food. Again, it was really a good memory that our guide requested all to be punctual to get into bus by 6:10AM early morning to cover all the next attractions after day 2, and you can't believe all people really were in the bus next morning on time Haha.. Really, Wen was awesome, as he had to taken care of each and every group by counting people whether they reached the bus after completing each attraction. Finally, I would like appreciate our bus driver, Mr. Ilea who was the actual captain of our trip, who didn't talk much to any individual though, but did a great job by taking us to all attractions safely.
The attractions we visited were in the below order-
Day 1 - Secret Caverns, Niagara State park, Thundering Water Cultural Show, Night illuminations of Niagara Falls. Back to hotel named - BYBLOS NIAGARA
Day 2 - Niagara Falls (Maid of the Mist, Niagara Falls In-Depth Tour),Watkins Glen (Watkins Glen State Park). Reached to Baltimore in night and stayed in hotel
named - Baltimore Harbor Hotel.
Day 3 - Washington DC (White House, US Capitol, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial), Philadelphia (Independence Hall, Liberty Bell). Then back to JSQ White Castle in evening.
I am telling you guys the trip is very much suitable for family. No need to think of any plan, hotel booking, address, attractions. All will be taken care by the guide. Your job is only to enjoy during the whole trip.
Thank you Wen & Ilea...GREAT JOB...WELL DONE .. See you next time!
I would suggest Philadelphia is removed from the trip name as it only means going out of bus, finding restrooms near Independence Hall and making pictures on the way. Our bus had no Wi-Fi and accommodation was very average. It would be worth it to also offer higher levels of popular trips to allow travelers to select level of comfort...e.g. with less stops and hence more time for others attractions, more comfortable buses and more cozy accommodations with less stress.
Tour package is average and guide was good, he is very nice and well-planned person. Bus driver is very much experienced.
Problems faced in journey are as below:
1. Entrance tickets can be purchased from guide only through cash not from card. In this case this should be mentioned on itinerary, so that everyone will bring cash. If we need to withdraw cash from other ATM's are chargeable.
2. Toilet in the bus can be used only in urgency.
3. Bus not be cleaned for 3 days.
4. There should be trash covers to each seat.
5. It will be good if drinking water available in bus.
6. One of night hotel is very poor and another day is good.
Anyway, overall trip was nice.
All the arrangements were excellent, and the tour guide, Rebecca, was very helpful, informative, and careful about customers. The plan can be modified a little bit to spend more time at the attraction places.
Great value, and good choice of attractions and sights.
Ok guide, but may need more training in the English language and itinerary explanations. Perhaps check with customers what language they speak. I think there were more non-Chinese speaking guests on the bus.
Would be great to get approximate times for lunch/dinner stops and hotel information the first hour of the tour. But overall would recommend this tour.
We went on this tour on the long weekend for Memorial day. There were not much crowds on Memorial Day at Niagara Falls and hence there was not much waiting time. Watkins Glenn State Park is really too good. All my family members enjoyed it well. Guide was good. He has been nice and communication was good.
We are very much overwhelmed with the trip we took. The trip was pleasant, and there were frequent stops for the restroom and food. The standard of the hotels was superb. The tour guide Ryan took care of each of the travelers personally, and he was aware for what each one needed. The driver was very friendly and a nice person. About the activities- I will recommend NOT to take the Thundering Water Cultural Show. $20 is not worth it at all - very disappointed and expensive for what you are getting!!! Corning Museum of Glass - I don't know as I didn't take it. About the restaurant - on the way, there was only one option to eat at a Chinese restaurant and I wish there will be more options for those who are not eating this food. In total, the trip was very pleasant and nice. WELL DONE & THANKS!. I would recommend this trip - we would definitely be looking at trip availability from TakeTours in my next visit. Again, Ryan was an amazing tour guide!!!
My brother bought this tour as a birthday gift to me and we celebrated my 29th birthday in the beautiful Niagara Falls! Our tour guide, Randy Zhang, is a very knowledgeable and funny guy. In the evening of the second day, Randy asked everybody on the bus to sing a happy birthday song to me which is very sweet! This 3 days tour is one of my best birthday memories of my life. Thanks TakeTours and thank you Randy!!!
The best deal ever. Paid for the tour to see Niagara Falls and as a bonus we also visited Washington DC, Corning, Geneva and Watkins Glen. it was an experience that my husband and I will never forget. Thanks to Kevin, our amazing tour guide for giving us the opportunity to tick an item off our bucket list. The best value tour ever. Thank you TakeTours
I loved this tour. I went with my in-laws who visited the United States for first time. We could see all the main attractions of Niagara Falls, Washington DC, and Watkins Glen. The tour guide was very cooperative and shared details of all the attraction. The accommodation was good!
Great tour, well we are almost on the wheels most of the time, and it's a long travel by bus.
It was great to have a continuous Wi-fi,but one thing I wish to highlight that as the use of wi-fi consumes the most of mobile battery, it would have been great that we have a USB charging point at window seats, which will help the tourists the most.
Overall, the trip was magnificent, enjoyable, and memorable too.
Once again thanks to Ms. Corha, the guide, and Mr. Paul, the bus driver, for the overall magnificent experience in the U.S.
Perfect Memorial Day weekend!!! My other 8 friends and me joined this tour last Saturday, and all of us are very happy and enjoyed it. Our tour guide is Randy, who is a very informative and funny guy. The itinerary was well scheduled. Although everywhere was crowed and traffic was not that good, we still got enough time in all the cute attractions, Washington DC, Watkins Glen, Niagara Falls etc. Thanks Randy! Hope you can read this and like my gift :)
I recommend this tour. The tour guide (Rain) was fantastic. Hotel was also good. we were three people on the tour. I want to go to Niagara Falls and Canada Tour again with the same guide and your company........ I am from Nepal and I will recommend to Nepalese people to whom I know to make trip with your company. To be honest the most important thing is, I would like to say thanks to miss Rain (our tour guide) for your help again, the most important thing.
It was a well organized trip. Itinerary and tour guide was good. Though initially I thought tour guide was little forceful in making us hurry up for the schedules, but later I realized it was for our good only. As because of guide pushing up we were able to finish all attractions in time and without long waiting queue. I will definitely recommend this to everyone.
The tour was organized very well and I'd completely organize it for people who travel with family. I traveled with my parents and they were able to see more attractions in a short period of time.
The bus driver was little rude with us taking coffee or soda in cups and asked us to throw it when we entered the bus. The guide, Ruth, was very friendly and helpful when we needed anything.
I took the 3 day Washington DC, Philadelphia and Niagara Falls package. It turned out to be very very time efficient, and the provided accommodation was extremely good. Our tour guide, Julia Liu, took special care of every guest. She was really good at taking caring of the kids in the party too. I strongly recommend this package and the guide.
Gracias! - The tour is generally a very good cost benefit. It is important that people have an average level of knowledge of English, as it is important to follow the instructions. Our guide, River, was our support during the trip, although not fluent in English, was very patient and helpful. Regarding the additional activities, we only recommend the Maid of the Mist boat in Niagara Falls and the boat in Washington DC. The others are regular, specifically one that we took before arriving to Niagara because the number of mosquitoes made it impossible to open your mouth . Finally, we would return to take tours with them. Thanks!
Overall a fantastic tour. Trip was a amazing and we had a wonderful time. Tour guide (Yenny) was helpful and supportive, especially as we have our 6 year old on the tour. I would definitely use TakeTours for my next vacation. Thanks for making our holiday awesome!!
The tour package was fantastic, it was well organized. Juliana was our tour guide and she really ensured that all the tourists in the bus adhered to the timing. Luckily the places where she stopped for lunch and dinner had Indian restaurants and they were really good. The only con was sometimes there was too much travel but it's okay. Great job Juliana for being a fantastic tourist guide :-)
Overall, a fantastic trip and brilliant value. The hotels were excellent and we covered so many places in such a short amount of time. We had regular, well thought out stops which made the travel time on the coach much more bearable than we expected.
It was our first trip of this kind, and for the price we paid we were a little apprehensive of what to expect. We had nothing to worry about, and will certainly book with TakeTours again!
The only negative was some of the other passengers turning up late regularly. (The tour guide mentioned to us that this was the worst group for timing she'd ever had!). On the last day we had to leave without one group - who of course complained about it (much to our disapproval). Please adhere to timings and don't ruin the experience for everyone else!
Tour was excellent. Tour guide Mr. Peter was caring. My wife & daughter enjoyed the attractions in the tour especially Niagara Falls day view & night view, jet boat ride, Secret Caverns, Washington DC, etc. Stay & breakfast at Comfort Inn was very good.
This was good tour for the money. Be prepared to get up early and NOT BE LATE for anything. You will get left. It would have been better if we had more time at a couple of places. I took my parents and they loved it. My suggestions... skip the Corning Show, eat and shop. It only last a few minutes. If you do the Corning show, go to the show first then eat. Skip the Watkins Glen Hike and explore the park on your own. The Welcome Center in Niagara Falls had some variety, but there is a Denny's in the Days Inn across the street that you can get more for your money than at the Center. TGIFridays is a 10 minute walk from the Welcome Center close to the Casino. Make sure to take the In-Depth Niagara Falls Tour and the Maid of the Mist Boat Ride.
The accommodations were good. We stayed at a Best Western in Annapolis, Maryland the first night and a nice Resort & Spa in Grand Island, New York the next night. It in the middle of nowhere, but 20 minutes to Niagara Falls. They serve a wonderful hot breakfast beginning at 6:30am for $10. On our bus you were not allowed to have beverages in cups (thermos okay), no hot food, no ice cream. HAVE CASH for the tours and the Welcome Center Food. The other places take credit cards. Suggestion: Please get buses that have a functioning toilet :-) Looking forward to another tour...
Excellent tour, excellent hotels. Though the distance is great, there was good planning. We could not enjoy much of Philadelphia, in Washington DC we were far from the Capitol and the White House, and the day of return no stops were made. In my view, I think the tour should be New York-Washington, Washington-Niagara, Niagara-Philadelphia- this would be more fun for the return. The guide always was aware of all us. The day we left, we got lost and they waited for us. Excellent ride. We had a lot of fun. Thank you very much.
Tour guide was very informative and attentive to me and my partner. Emma was great!!!! I loved her kindness and humility. Three people (full group was 14) tried to give her a very hard time. They were always late to the bus and threatened to report her. Again, Emma was excellent, she was very professional at all times. I would love to take all my tours with her.
Attn: Rafael & Raquel Montilla
The tour was organized in a good way. I actually was expecting them to give more information and commentary about the places we were visiting. However, the tour guide was not able to speak good English, so we did not follow a lot. They sell the attraction tickets and take the tip in the first few hours. So, be prepared for that.
We did not like the Corning Glass Museum. Apart from that, everything was good. I especially liked the accommodations they gave. The hotels were really clean and nice.
We went on this tour with our 13 and 16 year old children on August, 9 2014. We were on holiday from the United Kingdom and had 3 days we needed to fill. I found this tour online and was slightly worried as to what I had booked because it was so cheap! We'll I needn't have worried. The trip was absolutely fantastic. We saw so much. If I had tried to arrange this myself, we would never have seen half of what we saw. Accommodation was really good. Very clean and comfortable. Our guide was Boris and our driver, Mike. Both were absolutely fantastic and a credit to the company. I cannot rate this trip enough. I have recommended to all our friends since our return. I would definitely use this company again. Thanks for making our holiday that little bit extra special!
I took a three day trip to Niagara Falls and Washington DC. My trip was a amazing and we had a wonderful time. The tour guide (Jo) and the driver were very good and helpful. Special appreciation to both of them for all things which made the tour fantastic. The hotels were we stayed overnight were very good. They gave ample time for us to spend in all the places. Since the itinerary was already put online, we had planned which one to visit or not beforehand. On the bus, they had TV screens. The movie which was played, was an Indian movie but with Chinese audio and Chinese subtitles. If subtitles or audio, one of them was English, it would have been good. Anyways, we took a good nap during that time. Overall, it was a memorable trip and I am looking forward for some other trips booked on TakeTours.
Positives; Fantastic guide (Dragon) and brilliant driver. Hotels were far better than expected.
Negatives; No control over bad timekeeping of some guests. We nearly missed a boat ride and arrived at hotels far too late at night due to late returning guests.
We were not told that a van would be used to take us to the bus in Jersey City.
If you are looking comment by comment trying to find if you should take this tour or not, let me tell you something... this is the best tour to Niagara Falls! The tour leader was very good, funny, and he did an incredible job. The hotels will surprise you because they are much better that you think. The price is very reasonable because you will go to different states, hotels, and places. OHHH, the driver was excellent, and the food depends on people's tastes. It was an unforgettable experience that I recommend to take.
This was our first United States tour through a bus. I took this with my wife and 2 kids. Before starting the tour, I was little worried on how the tour will be, as I had heard mixed comments on bus tours. But interestingly, we found that the bus tour is very efficient. The tour itinerary was so well designed and handled professionally, that we were able to visit a good number of sites along with main attractions. David drove in Texas and this was his first tour in this route, but he was driving like a mature and well experienced driver. I appreciated his skills. Ben, the guide was very cooperative and caring. All the passengers enjoyed themselves until the last minute of the tour, we even played song game "Antakshariâ" in the bus, amazing!! Overall, the tour was a successful project. Thank you!!
I took this tour from Aug 30, 2014 to Sep 01, 2014. It was a great experience, and I had lot of fun with my family and I. Bus driver (Greg) was helpful and experienced. Tour guide (Nick) was a good English speaker and experienced. We had enough time to visit Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Niagara Falls, and Watkins Glen. This tour is worth the money you paid for it.
Very good tours.. it was an amazing experience for me and my family, my children were very happy.. In Washington DC, the drive is three hours long like in Philadelphia, but Niagara Falls, Watking Glen, Old Fort Niagara and Whirlpool Park, is worth the trip and is amazing and wonderful. Very good hotel.. and want to highlight the tour guide, Boris, who was a very good person and his English was good. Will definitely be back next year, the only bad thing is when the tour ends.
I just took this tour for three days with my parents. It was a really great time, and we had fun. Bus driver, Brian, was very funny, kind, and helpful. And our tour guide Jeffery was also nice and a helpful person. My parents were so happy with this tour. They didn't have a restroom in the bus to use but they stopped enough for food and to use the rest room. So again, it is really really really great tour!
I booked this tour for my parents. They had a great time.
Timely departure from pickup location.
Great transportation. Bus condition was excellent (rest room not available for use) but the bus stopped at frequent intervals, so no issues there.
Both guides (James and Iven) were courteous and my parents were happy the way they handled the tour.
They were told about the attractions that will be covered during the complete tour and collected the advance for them as per individual's liking. The tip for the complete tour was asked at the end of the tour like any good service provider will do.
Accommodation was great at both hotels (Byblos Resort- Niagra and Country Inn- Near Washington DC )
What could have been better:
No inputs here.
The tour was great, the guide (Alan) and the driver (Alan) were very friendly and helpful... My family that visited New York and with who I took the tour with, were happy to take it. The only problem was the beginning because it took us a little longer to find our bus, and the rain made it more annoying. Definitely, I always recommend to use this company to make the tour.
It was great tour for this kind of money. It was really worth it to take this tour. We enjoyed it a lot, hotels were good too. It was little bit hectic, however, we enjoyed it a lot. Tour guide was good! I would recommend to all who want to see and enjoy a lot with a fair amount of money. Go for the tours from this company. Soon we are going for a second 4-Days New York/Canada tour in the next 2 weeks. I hope it will also turn out the best, like this tour. Wait for our second review soon!
We went on this tour Friday of last week, and it was a 3 day trip which I felt was a good experience, and an enjoyable trip. The only thing negative I found is less view time as per itinerary, but the rest is excellent. The Watkins Glen stop was a good experience and well planned by our guide James. We visited from the top hill to bottom, not putting in much strain. Niagara trip was really good, Maid of the Mist was a good experience. Finally, I appreciated the tour guide, James, and the bus driver, Allen, who were really kind with a lot of patience. They did a good job, which will be remembered always!
Our tour guide, James, was extremely helpful and kind. There were many more parks and museums we visited than we expected, and it was quite an adventure. The first day we went to Pennsylvania and saw old colonial America. Right after, we traveled to Washington DC, and saw the state capital, the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. After staying at a very comfortable hotel, we went to Watkins Glen Park and the Corning Glass Museum. They were very interesting to see especially from someone that comes from New York City. After this, we traveled to Niagara Falls to see the Falls. By the time we got there it was night and we were only able to see the night lighting of the falls. The last day we were able to ride a boat on the falls. But be careful, for you will get very wet haha. Our bus driver, Mary, was very funny and helpful. I highly recommend this trip!
This trip I highly recommend throughout the whole trip. It was amazing! Our tour guides (Stefan/Jack) were amazing.. (1)downfall the bus although we made frequent stops the bathroom on bus did not work.. Other than that it was awesome!
It was an amazing tour, very well organized and planned to perfection.
Tour leader, Stefan Lin, is an awesome guide and tour leader. He managed everything very well. He is a master in his work. Also, Benny was a very nice tour leader as well.
Niagara Falls and Watkins Glen State Park were simply superb and not to be missed on your East Coast trip.
I got back from this tour two days ago. It was awesome! This was my first bus tour and I look forward to going on many more. George was my tour guide, and he was very nice and funny. He was always willing to answer questions. You do spend a lot of time in the bus, but I was comfortable in it and I enjoyed looking at the scenery as we drove. The one problem I have is that there is a bathroom in the bus but there is no soap or toilet paper in it and it is for emergencies only. However, we did make many stops for bathroom breaks. I loved going to the Secret Caverns, the Maid of the Mist tour, and Watkins Glen. This tour gave me the opportunity to visit many places that I probably would have never visited. Go on this tour! You will not regret it! :)
First time buying online. Good experience on tour with my friends. Great tour guide, Max Wang. He was always very patient, courteous, well informed, and has a good sense of humor. The hotels were very nice, bus transport was comfortable, attractions were awesome. Will certainly recommend it and be back again.
The tour company itself was very enjoyable considering that our guide, Kitson Shi, had a sense of humor and knowledge to keep us informed and at the same time tell us the historical background in both English and Chinese! This came in handy because while my friend and I understood English, my friend's mom could only understand in Chinese. She was not left out unlike other tours, amazingly!
It was impressive how he got along with people from different backgrounds, ethnicities, and ages. He would give us the best tips on where to stand in certain places at certain attractions, and would kindly offer to take group photographs so we wouldn't have awkward selfies.
Although the tour seemed a bit rushed, it did make sense that it would be short durations at each stop considering the itinerary and distance we had to travel during the three days. So if you plan on exploring New York or New Jersey, we'd advise you to book extra days for self-exploration and self-touring - search Google or if you have Kitson, just ask him! He'd recommend restaurants and locations.
Please note that though this tour itself is pretty cheap, you WILL have to pay out of pocket for attractions that you wish to be a part of.
All the monuments, historical sites, and attractions will always be there but the experience varies among people. For us (a group of three - 2 female, 1 male), Kitson made the trip very worthwhile. If you have Kitson, you're in good hands! Because of our positive experience with this tour, we would recommend and possibly repeat it at a different destination in the future!
We took this tour a month ago, because we wanted to visit the White House & Niagara Falls.
1. The tour guide explained everything and was very friendy.
2. The hotels were decent, one of them even had a complimentary breakfast.
3. If we didn't take this tour, we wouldn't have discovered such beautiful places such as Watkins Glen State Park.
1. Some participants on our tour consistently did not come back on time from the stops and therefore we were late for the Niagara Falls Cultural show and fireworks, or other attractions were allocated less time or even cancelled (Washington DC cruise) as a result. Some also used the bus' toilets although the tour guide forbade that.
2. In the morning of the third day, the tour guide told us that breakfast can be purchased at Old Fort Niagara but they only had cakes for purchase...
Overall, the tour is worth the money if you're short in time, and I'd recommend it.
I enjoyed my trip for the price I paid.
1. Excellent tourist guide : Julia Liu. She is very active, funny, and entertaining throughout the trip.
2. Covered most of the places mentioned online in 3 days like Secret Caverns, Niagara Falls, Old Fort, Watkins Glen, Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum, White house, Liberty Bell (only the building, didn't enter inside due to huge queue) and Independence Hall.
3. 3+ star hotels for both the nights. Pretty decent.
4. Pretty good and frequent stops at service area for food etc...
5. Price worth.
1. Long drive. Felt like we spent most of the time inside the bus.
2. Even with pretty good motivation from the tourist guide, we had to be very active to enjoy the trip. We had to wake up very early and we had to get back to the bus on-time after every visit, kinda rushed.
We loved this tour it was amazing!!! So many beautiful places we did not know about! The tour guide (Ken Fung) did amazing job! He was very nice, funny! We liked him a lot, next time we will take the tour with this company and will be make sure he is our guide! The hotels were great! First night we stayed at Antony Mark Hotel, second night at Hilton! We ! loved this trip a lot! From now on we will travel only through TakeTours! Thank you so much guys for such an amazing job! I do not know how you are able to do this much for such us little money!!! I will recommend to all my friends!!! :)
We went on the 3 days tour to Niagara Falls, and the trip was well organized. All the facilities were excellent, like Adams Mark and Hilton Hotel. Our tour guide, Mr. Ken, was very helpful and was with us as an family member who entertained us all the time. I recommend this tour and would use it in the future too.
I love the tour and the package.....it was well planned package. Good bus, accommodation and the places we visited were very nice and worth it. We got the satisfaction of whatever amount we have paid, we enjoyed it.
Our tour guide was so friendly and talkative.
So Will, I give you 5 star for making this tour a memorable one.
I will have great memories of this tour. Will is an awesome guide. It was fun all the way. Commendations to our driver who transported us safely to every destination. The group was diverse but fun. The time seemed a little less in the evening at Niagara but nevertheless we saw a lot of places in the short span of time. The hotels were comfortable and good. The bus ride was comfortable. A memorable trip that I'll recommend to people who want to make maximum use of the limited time.
Great tour, Jupiter was an excellent tour guide, baggage handler, and negotiator- he defiantly deserves 3/4 of the $8 per day "tip", as bus driver John was just that, a driver with no interaction. Only negatives were waiting in the pouring rain for tour to begin and the visit to Philadelphia.
Simple appreciation note for Will our tour guide and our driver. Thank you for TakeTours team!
I started with a negative perception but was proved wrong at every point. It was an awesome experience. Guide & driver were awesome, considerate, and very friendly. Best accommodation I can expect. I wish tour could last forever :-). Thanks for making our vacation so amazing ... we will surely come again and refer to friends
Hi guys, I just made this trip 2 days ago (June 2014) with my family and we really enjoyed everything. The only thing I wish was that they gave us more time in Niagara Falls (New York). Our tour guide Mr. Jeffrey was just AWSOME! I would go next time with this tour and I would like to have the same tour guide!! This is an awesome tour and I would 100% recommend it to anyone.
I booked this tour for me and my family for a 3-day weekend. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be as good when I'd planned it. But to our surprise, we had an incredible time.
We visited almost all important attractions listed in the itinerary and spent reasonable amount of time at each spot.
The bus journey was comfortable (the only con was that there was no wi-fi or iPhone charging facility in our seats).
The tour guide was amazing (ask for this guy called Jeffrey...he did a great job!!). We planned periodic stops for restrooms, lunches/dinners (with vegetarian menus..yay!). He stuck to his time and managed the large crowd with ease.
If you're skeptical about the worth for your money, this is a great bet!!
I will recommend this tour package to my relatives and friends.
The tour was good and very well organized. The hotels we stayed at were both Holiday Inn hotels and they were good. The only bad part was the tour bus was too old and it rained heavily when we were at Washington DC, and last day when we took our baggage from the bus baggage area, all of our clothes were wet. Other than that, the tour was good. We never could have covered all that places without a tour.
This is one of the most satisfactory and very worth-spending tours I have ever taken. Many attraction sites are covered. Though we traveled a very long journey, we had stops at every two and a half to three hours and the driver was very skillful. We did not feel exhausted at all. The tour guides are very caring, friendly, and helpful.
Better than what I expected. No problem with the food neither with the hotels. they were nice and clean.
But if you are booking this trip, make sure you do your math with the tickets prices for the attractions paid in advance. Besides that, everything went very well. I would recommend this tour
The tour was a very pleasant experience, despite the very tight schedule we were able to see and enjoy a bunch of attractions. Keep in mind that you have to keep the guide rhythm, the visits are short but enough to enjoy them. Niagara Falls, as expected was great! And the Watkins Glen Park didn't stand behind. On the other hand, the Washington DC river cruise wasn't really exiting. The eating places were mainly food courts, so there were available a variety of choices for everybody in the tour.
The hotels were better than we expected. Actually liked them. Overall we really enjoy the trip, definitely recommended!
Everything was fine, tour guide, Will, was really good, maintained time very well. Maid of Mist is especially superb. Only thing is there will be a lot of travelling, which is unavoidable because there are many places to cover in limited time.
You can see a lot of places in 3 days (if things go well with traffic, adherence to timings and fellow passengers). Itinerary was good following itinerary - Secret Caverns, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. The accommodation was decent and bus was comfortable. The price is reasonable. I would recommend this tour to your visiting parents, friends, and relatives.
Also, I would like to give credit for Kevin, our tour guide, as he was good in controlling everyone adhering to timelines except for couple of hick-ups which he was not responsible for.
This is a nice tour. You can see a lot of places in 3 days - Secret Caverns, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. The accommodation was decent and bus was comfortable. The price is reasonable. I would recommend this tour to your visiting parents, friends, and relatives.
First off,let me say - JENNIFER IS A TROOPER. We had a few issues w/passengers being late & I saw her fly into action. She helped folks pack, dressed the lil ones and would go to FIND those folks lingering behind. With that said; room for improvement:
**Dedicating MORE TIME to the destinations.
**NOT riding in the bus; with a bathroom we were instructed was only for emergencies; which no one had throughout our 3 days. But there were times when it would have been nice to have exercised that option.
**TWO (2) + HOURS IS NEEDED TO PROPERLY GAIN/DEVELOP a prospective of the various attractions.
**This is especially the case with: The Corning Museum, Washington DC & Philly.
**These sites are simply too vast for the hr, 45 mins & in many instances, 30 mins, allotted to explore.
**Lastly, the $114. to purchase the attraction package, needs to be in BOLD & HI-LIGHTED when booking.
I was taken by surprise and so were many others. We were under the impression that we'd be offered choices whether to attend a particular attraction. Nonetheless it was worth it all.
Overall, my sis & I along with a co-worker had a most wonderful time and met some incredibly warm folks.
I'd highly recommend this trip; in fact, I'm gifting Mom an early Mother's Day gift with the Tennessee 4 day excursion.
Again, YOU ROCK JENNIFER! It was truly a pleasure making your acquaintance.
My family and I were very very happy and impressed with the tour. When we booked, we were skeptical. The low price and fully packed itinerary made us worry as we are traveling with a child. But it turned out excellent! There was a stop every 2-3 hours and hotel rooms were excellent!!! Clean and spacious. The team was excellent. Ken was very professional and passionate. Kenny was also friendly and helpful and both of them kept explaining and engaging the tourists. They did beyond what they need to do. The driver was also very good! Safe and steady driver and no sign of impatience. I would strongly recommend this to everyone. But our one day New York City tour with another guide turned out disastrous.
Tourist from Switzerland
We did this tour in April 2014 with our 4 children aged between 14 and 22 years. We loved the tour. You will see so many things, too much to remember if you don't take pictures. We were impressed with Niagara Falls, still with ice and snow. We loved the Native Americans show. I liked the stop at the Old Niagara Fort. We couldn't go with the boat Maid of the Mist, because this opens in May. But we had plenty of time at the falls to see a film about the falls and to take pictures. We didn't like the stop at the Glass Museum. I think this is a waste of time. Maybe because we have visited a real glass manufacturing in Murano Venice. Of course you don't have to enter, but there is nothing else to see there in the neighborhood. Either you enter with the group or you wait outside for 2 hours. Washington, D.C. was lovey. We liked seeing memorable places like the White House and Capitol Hill. We were lucky that the cherry trees were in blossom! We were lucky also with the weather, blue sky and sunshine. In Philadelphia, we only had half an hour to visit the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. This is not enough. 1 hour would have been better. Due to the itinerary of this tour, the tour guides had to hurry us up all the time. We spent the night in 2 very good hotels with free WIFI. The bus was okay, but there was no toilet on the bus. We did made some stops to use the toilets, but time was very limited at these stops. When you are a smoker, you choose between smoking or use the restrooms. The tour guides have Chinese roots and their English is not very good. I think they could have given more explanation about the things you see when we drive. On the bus there were a lot of nationalities but no people of the United States. A bit more information about this wonderful country would have been nice. Now we got a bit of explanation just before arriving about the things we were about to see and certainly about at what time we had to be back at the bus. Sometimes you get the feeling this is the only thing that they are interested in. Also I certainly wanted to give them a tip, but the obliged amount of $8 a day per person is too much. But overall We liked the tour, and it gave good value for the money we paid. But don't forget that you have to pay all the entrance fees on the bus. This is quite a bit expensive.
Great trip! Got to experience the sights and sounds of different attractions - much like a buffet sampling! Tour guide was very helpful and understanding in meeting our needs and concerns, gave much information on the history of the places we visited! Would highly recommend!
Great tour! My wife and I had a wonderful time. We had the misfortune of going during the Government shutdown, which really hurt because ALL the museums and monuments were closed, but Ken and crew made the best of the situation. In addition, our tour bus broke down a bit, which kind of wrecked our schedule, but we overcame that minor nuisance.
My only major qualm is the duration of time given to take photos. Because they had to cram a week of sight-seeing into 3 days, it seemed that as soon as we got off the bus, it was time to leave again. I wish there was more time to explore Washington D.C., since there are so many monuments and attractions in the vicinity. The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial was very close, but we never stopped there. In addition, there were a couple of attractions on the itinerary that weren't all that great, and in all honesty, could be eliminated to add more time for the other major attractions. We could have done without Secret (damp) Caverns, Watkins Glen (which was wet, muddy and slippery), the Washington D.C. cruise and the Niagara Tribal ceremony. Furthermore, the in-depth tour was not really "in-depth," but we got some nice photos.
The amenities were okay; we stayed at a Quality Inn the first night at Niagara Falls, and then a Comfort Inn close to Baltimore, on the way to DC. The Hotels are nothing special, but not terrible either. During the trip, there are plenty of bathroom breaks and stops for food, but be warned- It's 95% greasy fast food/buffet establishments, and in order to adhere to the schedule, you have to eat fast.
Overall, I thought Ken and staff did a great job, the value for what we received was exceptional and I would definitely recommeNd this tour to a friend.
By the way, I would HIGHLY recommend going to the Canadian side for Niagara Falls. There are so many more attractions in Canada than the US. Do your research! I wish I had.
This was my first trip. The itinerary was well-planned and packed with many attractions, and because of that, very little time is spent in each attractions. The trip is really worth the price. The accommodations are very comfortable, and I made some new friends during the trip.
English translation- Beautiful journey, we started with some doubt, but then we changed our minds. Of course it's all timed, meaning that visits to all those places in three days has been tough, though it was nice to travel by bus and see another America, tiring but beautiful. Hotels are very nice and clean. Thanks from Rome! -
Tour is great. The tour guide Ken was very knowledgeable which is what a tourist wants. In-depth tour and Watkins Glen tours can be avoided. Cave of the winds should be added. Every thing was just great value for money. Special THANKS to Ken (the tour guide)!
I took this tour on sep 13th to 15th 2013. It was an awesome experience. The transport, accommodation and hospitality was excellent. This tour is really really worth the money you pay. WORTH FOR THE MONEY!!!! You really cant get anything greater than this at such a low price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I am totally happy with this trip.
The tour was great and its real value for money!! We did not know anything about the tour and just booked based on recommendation from our friend. As per expectations the tour was great. It is a well planned tour so that passengers do not get tired and yet they enjoy all the places with ample time. Also food and ticket arrangement is taken care about the tour guide so you do not have to worry about these things at all.
All places in itenery were covered and with ample time at each place. I was amazed to see the arrangemnets where in we deboard the bus and board directly on Cruise in Washington DC. Thats great arrangement. kudos to the guys. Specially Bus Driver and Tour Guide :)
A great tour. The guide 'Jimmy' is also a highlight in the tour. He was very gentle and calm, treating everyone with kindness. Niagara in depth tour [old fort] and native show could be avoided. Rest all is fine including the bus facilities and accommodation. Definitely I would recommend this tour to my friends. Thank you 'Take Tours'.
It was a great experience. Everything was organized and planned well. Our Tour Guide Marcus was amazing. He was very friendly, cool and fun person. He had a very good knowledge about the places we visited and gave a brief history about all of them. However, the Schedule in Washington D.C. was bit hectic. We could have easily avoided Cruise and spent more time at Museum. Also, I think we should be allowed to use th Toilet in the bus, in case of emergency (Atleast to change the baby diaper). Except for those trivial things, we had a great time. Everything went as planned and we were able to cover all the places as promised in the trip !! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE..
Excellent tour. Guide Chris & driver Reggie wonderful. Saw a lot of beautiful sights in a short time- well worth the money. Would have liked more time in Philly, less time in DC. The rest was fantastic! Overall it was a wonderful trip that I highly recommend to folks with little time that want to see a lot.
This was a great tour, it was the first time going to Niagara for some people in my group in which they had a great time. I wish we had more time eating at a restaurant since I felt rushed for that food service, other than that, we had a great time.
Very well organized tour. It is much more than we could have covered within three days on our own. The attractions are very diverse, the tour is well conceived; it was better than I had expected. Marcus, our guide, was really good, giving us information in a funny way and taking care of us.
Yet, the unpleasant part is that you have to get up early and to respect a strict schedule.
If you want to see Niagara Falls and the main sights of Washington DC within 3 days, this tour is the place to be. Just some words of advice. The tour is packed with attractions, which all cost money. The time is very short and you are rushed through these things. You always have to look at your watch. my advice: skip the Glass museum, the Philly Cruise, the Indian Show, and have more time for yourselves. They also charge you money for some attractions that are free (Watkins Glen, Power Vista). This is okay regarding that the tour is quote cheap. Also remember to bring a tip of 24 $ at the end of the trip and get used to a Chinese accent. you also have to spend a lot of time on the bus. All in all i recommend the tour. The accomodation was excellent.
Worthy tour, went to a lot of places in 3 days. You have to prepare like $150 more each person for admission costs and tips. Long bus ride like 8 hrs to Niagara falls. They change your seat every day, so it's very fair.
Actually weird that you can't use the toilet in the bus and they didn't really stop that frequent for the restroom. Also there were some tourist in our group that's always late, so I think the guides should have a better policy for that, because we have really limited time and it waste our sight seeing time. Overall the trip was good and worth the money.
Trip with TakeTour is just 1...2...3. You don't have to think, plan, scratch your head or pull your hair if things don't go as per your plan. Trip means sometime you may feel like its kinda Touch-N-Go race to cover most of the spots. But this people knew for sure that how much time people should spent at every spot for sightseeing, refreshment, lunch etc. If you just follow instructions of your Tour Guide and stick to the time window given to you then surely you will have wonderful experience. Most of the time, people just don't care and don't listen to the guide and at the end of trip they simply blame the tour guide. With small kids, you may add additional 5-10 mins to the time window given by your tour guide and plan accordingly. If you plan yourself the same intermarry then you may end up paying extra money and time and even after that you may not cover all the attractions. All in all, its very awesome experience and I am fully recommending it.
I have my in-laws sent to this trip. They gave such a positive feedback about this tour particularly about your leader Derek. They were so happy to have such a wonderful experience with the tour.Thank you team for making this trip a memorable one.Would recommend this to my friends.
Overall I had a good experience. The tour guide and bus operator were great guys and did their jobs in a very professional manner. However, like always dealing with other human beings are always complicated. I never knew Chinese people were so rude and disrespectful. I had my legs bumped into, the seat was push down on my legs on several occasions by this couple. They never once apologized. These people do not display any courtesy. My ten year old was shocked that human beings acts this way in today's society. I would suggest to this company to address this issue in my comments seriously because other will not ignore this total disrespect exhibited.
Going to NY City was one of my dream, aside from the Big Apple, Niagara Falls, Washington DC and other surrounding states is also a few of them..So having to book this trip was too exciting for me..Honestly, I was actually too overexcited to go on this trip and the whole trip delivered it completely...The whole tour was amazing, our tour guide (Dragon L.) was the best of it all...Dragon made all of us welcomed and accomodated..He showed not only the places we planned to see but having to add insights on those places for a very short time felt like we've spent more time than we actually did. Everyone in the bus was all happy and we all made friends because the atmosphere the tour guide (Dragon L.) set up was very welcoming..The hotel accomodation was actually more than me and the rest of the tourist had expected. The places we ate at and the rest spots were great. I will definitely book another trip through Take Tours because I know that the next one will be as great as the one we just had. A big shout out to our tour guide (Dragon L.) for showing not only professionalism but for being our friend...I highly recommend this trip and I look forward to booking more trips in the future...A well worth of my litle time in the East Cost as well as the money paid!!!
We took this tour along with my parents and we thouroghly enjoyed the tour. I was amazed with Hotel Accomodation, i thought i will get some low class hotel accomodation for the ticket price i paid. But we were put in Excellent Resort at Niagara, and Comfornt Inn at Washington both these Hotels are very good. And the tour Lead was able to manage well to cover all the places promosied in the tour plan. Great Job Tour Lead (Mr. Ray). Over all i am very happy with this tour and i strongly recommend this to others.
Best part of the tour - our guide Ray & our driver Sam. Not only were they professionals but took care of every passenger and even entertained us.
The tour iternary was slightly cramped and not much done in Phily. The bus was the worst part of the tour with windows shutter not working, seats jammed & bad cooling.
All in all the value for money and have recommended to my friends as all ended laughing & singing and making new friends.
Be prepared that this is a fast passed tour. The cost of the itinerary should also be considered, about $112 per person and the $24 tip at the end, but it is worth it.
Our tour guides were great, making sure we kept on track, taking photos and ensuring everyone enjoyed the tour.
It is important that everyone returns on time as late comers can cause issues at the next stop.
Niagara Falls and Washington were what we expected and we had plenty of time at both to see the sights. What was unexpected for my wife and I was Watkins Glen. This part of the State Park was beautiful and we were given plenty of time to walk from top to bottom on the 12 Falls track. You have to see this area to believe it and take a lot of photos.
Our stop at Philadelphia was a bit disappointing as we arrived late, due to traffic delays, and as we got there a storm blew through so we did not get in to see the Liberty Bell.
The accommodation was a surprise as we did expect low end value hotels but we were very pleased with where we stayed and how good they were.
Overall I recommend people do this trip. If you are in New York and have 3 days to spare then this is the way to do it.
My boyfriend and I just came back from the tour to Boston it was our first time booking with you we had a wonderful time! Our tour guide Will was very professional as well as funny and a true GPS for the driver.
It was okay, but not that expected. Tour Guide did not cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary and did not have alternate options, tour was ended 4 hours(1 hr late at the beginning and 3 hrs early at the end) ahead of the time. Hotel accommodation was excellent, transport bus was ok. I would recommend the tour as a whole but need have proper guide.
Overall value for money.
1. Good time management and covering most of attraction within the time period
2. Good accommodation
1. Tour's guide explanation of on touring area should improve
2. Tour guide/website page should explain what happens when people dont opt for an attractions. Some cases you need to stay out of the bus for more than one hour or tour your self until people come back from attractions.
3. Some Tour guide collect money for attractions even for < 5 year old kids.
4. Hotel accommodation is at least 30 mins travel from the attractions, so we lose 1 hour in travel to hotel
I went twice on this tour and my recent trip was better compared to previous one. I would recommend people not to miss old fort Niagara and native Indian show. Adding 20 minutes for a photo session in Niagara falls (during morning) would be great.
Today my family returned from this tour, overall they saw everything that was promised, but the time is too short for everything, eating , attractions, pee, etc. The first Hotel was excellent but the second one was a little ugly and very basic. The driver was a little rude, and the guide was impatient. The guide Kitson charged for his services and bus driver 96 USD (two adults and two children 14 and 9) even though their service wasn't very good.
The tour was really great and amazing!!! Our Tour guide Mr. Frank and Mr. Gavin are amazing. They are well organized and manage the time properly. This is our first time to go on a tour but it is not perfect because of the AC in the bus! It is very hot inside the bus and the AC is not working properly. It is uncomfortable with all the passengers especially with us because I had my kid with me..They should see to it that the AC is working properly because most of our time was inside the bus and the temperature outside was 95 F. But anyhow, I love this tour and it was really great experience for all of us especially the memorable maid of the mist boat ride. I love it!
The tour was great! we had so much fun.. We were able to get to all the attractions. Niagara falls, Watkins Glen, Washington DC and Philadelphia. The first 3 are the best for me.. The hotel accommodation was pretty clean and decent.. I like Hampton Inn :)Our tour guide Jason was so nice and patient. He always try his best. Our driver Dan is as nice and patient as Jason, He was always on time.. unfortunately we all have to wait for the latecomers... braise yourself for those tourist who wants to take your time.. they come late and then complain about time :(
Amidst all their complains we had so much fun, we don't care what they yap about ;) This tour is the cheapest and so far the best we've gone to...
Overall this tour is great and definitely looking forward to the next trip.
Let me start by saying that this is a NO BRAINER and a MUST DO!
For the price it is a great deal.
Now there are things that should be a little more clear in the website. Yes you pay the mentioned price for transportation and hotels; however, in the bus you have to pay about $110 more per person for the tickets to the attraction and for the driver/guide service. (Which is cheap and worth it)
The hotels are superb for the price you pay and the attractions are very nice!
Kudos to our tourist guide Kitson who did a great job.
Definitely doing it again
The tour was awesome! If you are looking for a sightseeing trip, this is the best thing. Our stay was in Sheraton and Adam's Mark, 2 nice hotels to stay. Visited lot of places, but could not stay in any place for more time as we had lot to cover in 3 days. Tour Guide was very helpful and he was explaining all the places. He had good knowledge of the places. Stay was great, Places were great.. ONly problem is time but I loved this trip...
I may not say perfect but tour was good and we enjoyed a lot.The lavatory in the Bus was not working and bus had some problem and stopped couple of time as for some mechanical issues. But our tour guides Ray(Rui Tang) and Gavin were excellent. They handled all the situations very well and helped us a lot and the driver lady McCaly was a superwomen who made us reach on time. Thanks a lot Ray and Gavin. You people ROCK!!
Wow!! I travel with my son 12yrs old and nephew 11yrs old, we got a chance to see so many attraction as well as its really good for the kids to know the knowledge about history, when u go to the DC museum and power project that kids could know where the electricity gonna come and it's also about science !! So I really recommend this trip for my friends !!
One thing is that it's much better to add a breakfast fees to the overall fees that we don't need to go and buy a breakfast within this short period early in the morning,,,
Well!! Ll tour organizes so far so good, hotel we stay is clean, nice!!!
Guide as YY!!! Driver as Erie!!
They both did great job!!!
Thumps up and thank u!!!
It was a great trip because we were able to see a lot of places in just 3 days. Although there are times that we crammed a lot since we were only given very short time to get back to the bus. I also like the 2 hotels that we stayed in. The bus is just OK, since the video was broken for 2 and a half days. The only thing we were upset about was that the tour guide was not very specific in giving instructions and gets easily upset .He should be more understanding because most of us if not everyone are new to this trip and he should give advices that would benefit everyone especially those with small kids with them.
The tour was good in the sense of we view a lot of stuff during the trip. The only concern is that shall stay more time at some places. 45 minutes is not a stop to see Hershey's Chocolate and have lunch too. The same applies for the museums and the DC area. Prefer to stay longer on a same place and see everything in the area instead of running across the nation to see the next a. The guide tour were really good but the office shall coordinate and contact them on special events or business hours of the places , after we arrived at 8:00 am was found that on Sundays they open later at 9. The bus does not have a working toilet considering the nature of the trip.
I had a great time with this tour.
But it was raining when I went to DC !!
I think you need to switch the program if it has the weather problem. Such as taking us to museum first when it is raining and after the rain stop take us to sightseeing outdoor.
It was a trip with mixed experience. Good hotels but starting 6:30 am morning with kids is a tough task. Major attractions i.e. Night view and day view Niagara falls have been provided less time to spend.
Time for Howe Caverns could have been be reduced, this could have provided us more time to spend for night view of Niagara.
Boat/Cruise drive in Washington DC is not worth. Also charging service fee for 4 years old child is not good.
Overall the trip is worth money especially for those who do not want to drive car.
Kind of mixed feelings. Feeling of seeing these places for the first time was exciting though. However, had very tough time with the guide. Her accent was not easy to pick up. All the time we could hear 'ok' and 'hello'. There was so much of travelling. Did not have enough time to enjoy any place. Mad rush. Changes in itinerary could have been done. 10$ charge per person for climbing up the 2 mile distance, that too by bus, was not acceptable. Though it looked cheap travel option, ended up spending 300 for 3 day's trip. Needed more time at niagara and the glass museums.
The Tour was very well organised and our Guide, Mr. Jing was very good indeed. He planned, managed and organised the 3 days overall very well. His singing on the bus was a particular highlight, but his jokes were quite unfunny! :) It was a lot to cram in the space of 3 days and as a result, the tour was very time sensitive, but we expected that. The bus was not great. It was quite dirty and we could tell that no one took the effort to clean it properly. This was a bit off-putting. The video system on the bus was lousy too. But, I liked the way we stopped off almost every 2 hours. As a result, we never felt the long drive and frankly did not get tired. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour. It was a memorable trip. Thank you Take Tours!
Overall I can say it was very good. Our tour guide must be more vocal and share more information about the attractions. One more thing I felt odd was charging service fee for a 3 years old baby, it didn't look like good. Even at every attraction it was free for less than 6 yrs.
I took this tour recently. My tour guide was little inexperienced. He could have been little more vocal ( like one I had for Grand Canyon tour ). Hotel was good in Niagara but was not up to the mark in Maryland. Itinerary was good.
Tour Guides were nice and specially thank you Badman for saving my lense cover.
It could have been better if atleast two movies could have completed on the tour. I just remember one completed though We were not there so watch movies :-) no big deal.
Driver James was nice however the windows were dirty that's why from inside the Bus it was pretty difficult to take pictures of the landscapes We saw on the trip. That's why three stars.
This tour is excellent. The guide (Mr. D Dong) is very helpful and knowledgeable and told us a lot of stories during the tour. Schedule is just right and food and hotel are good too. My family (2 adults and 1 teen)all enjoyed the trip very much. Strongly recommended.
The trip was greatly organized. Mr. Batman, the handsome tour guide and Mr. Jin, the driver made everything so easy and that eased up the tireness. Mr. Jin suggested me where to go when I wanted to skip IMAX and Glass museum. He was so helpful. Mr. Batman was so nice and funny, good photographer too. He didn't give me hard time at all when I want to skip the IMAX movie. The hotel, Holiday Inn and Sheraton are all beyond our expectation. Fellow passenger are nice too. All in all, great trip.
It was a great trip overall. Would definitely recommend it. Try to go in the Spring-Summer regions though. The Winter itinerary wasn't 100% worth it. Especially the Power Vista. Old Fort Niagara was the most beautiful out of them all. Time was constrained, but our tour guide Ken managed. Essentially it was quantity over quality.
If your going, be ready to bring some extra cash on hand. Like at least $150 per person because admissions does cost a bit.
This is my first experience to joint a tour bought via online , previously I am just curious why the price is very competitive but once I joined it finnaly I found that this tour is OK , hotels also good
You certainly see a lot on this trip! You are also in the bus a long time so bring along whatever will keep you comfortable and entertained.
Due to weather conditions on Day 1 we didn't get to the first hotel or Niagara until late at night we got to visit the falls twice.
Day 3 is very full visiting as many monuments in Washington before leaving around lunch time to head to NY via Philadelphia. Instead of visiting the Space Museum I went across the road to the Museum of the American Indian which was great.
I really enjoyed and recommend this trip.
So my tour was started pretty bad. I probably put the wrong date on my booking. But then I went to their main office, and they just changed it, They didn't give me hard time at all... Then the tour itself was so well managed and well planned we were able to see so many attractions on the trip. The only bad thing about seeing so much stuff is we can't really enjoy our time at the place, but then again it was worth it because we can see soooo many places with the money we paid. I would really recommend to take this tour if what you look for is the tour to see across the country. But if you want to feel like a local, I will suggest to just stay at one city for a week. In conclusion, the tour is legend, wait for it, DARY!!!!
We took the tour in the middle of October.Mr Jerry was an excellent guide. The tour was well organised and the stay was execellent. The weather was excellent,The time spent at Philedelphia was just an hour and hence grossly insufficient. On the return journey one stop can be arranged at Jersey city for the comforts of Jersey city residents.
Great tour, full of enjoyment!!
Covered all amazing places.
Special appreciation to tour guide Wayen Weng, for his timelyness, courtesy, communication and all the things which made the tour funtastic...!!!
Very well organized tour. Our tour guide, Sunny, was excellent in his guidance. Because of his well organized and well managed time, we could visit the Niagara Falls twice :) The bus driver was also very punctual and a great driver. Highly recommend TakeTours!
It's altogether a good experience. Very good hotels. But starting 6:30 am everyday morning with kids is s tough task. $88 would cost for sightseeing &18 guide cost. Driver did not allow food inside bus. But the trip is worth money.
I really enjoyed the tour, great attractions, especially Niagara Falls! Well organized, tourgide Sunny and driver Louis excellent! Great value for money!!! Spend lot of time on bus with travelling, big distance among attractions, not to much time to sleep but worths! Hotels great for money!
I enjoyed this tour immensely and our tour guide Sunny was just as his name implies. He was concerned and kind and thoughtful. He involved you even when you kind of zoned out. Touring with him was great because he is so knowledgeable and full of extraneous information I didn't know:and I am a us citizen. I also met a lot of different nationalalities who were really nice people. I loved this tour ..I give it 4stars
The tour was really great! Very organized, the guide was superb(Al), hotels were wonderful. Niagara Falls, Secret Caverns and Watkings Glen were gorgeous. A cheap and fun experience! Really worth! The only complain I have is about the food, specially on dinner and breakfast time. They could have stopped in better places. But I love it anyway.
My trip was great, the tour guides Ricky and Batman were awesome! The hotels were great and the itinerary was as planned. If you are taking this trip please read carefully what is included because some people did not want to pay the $6.00 service fee per day for the driver and great tour guides. When you purchase your tickets print the receipt and the itinerary where shows you what attractions are included or not. The time in each place is not very long but is only 3 days to cover a lot, so be ready for that. In general I think the buses could be better but for the price I think I received way more that I expected. I have purchased tickets for another tour already...great prices, great tour, great hotels...I love it!!!!
The Tour was a very good experience. Tour guide Johnny was quite friendly, cooperative and entertaining. Niagara was gr8 and so was Glen Watkins. The bus was comfortable..hotels were good..Frequent stops to rest areas.. Overall excellent Value for Money.
We are very much overwhelmed with the trip we took. The trip was pleasant, frequent stops for the restroom and food. The food stops had a variety of choices (subway, kfc, md, supermarkets and restaurants, etc) considering the nature of the trip. The standard of the hotels were superb. The Tour Guides Ken & Mark were informative, very pleasant and helpful. WELL DONE & THANKS!. At last - I would recommend this trip - definately. When I holiday again in the USA, we would definately be looking at trip availability from Taketours.
If you are looking for a well organized, good price and fun trip, you should to this trip. The guide was so pleasant (Jupiter) and the trip was well organized as scheduled. My friends and family had fun and definitly will go again next summer .
The tour was awesome you cannot beat the price the hotels were more than we expected. Its a great deal and you visit many attractions in a short time. However, there should be options for meals or a scheduled stop at someplace other than a tourist trap that takes away from the value of the trip. The Guides were great- I am planning to go again and take family members.
For the money I paid it was soo worth it, the hotels were really nice it had a pool and a hot tub. the niagara falls were amazing the tour guide was nice and was ready to answer every single answer I had. This was my first trip to niagara fall And I'm glad I chose this tour for my first trip there.
My family had a great time with this trip. The tour guides (Shou and Mars Zheng and driver John did a remarkable effort that made the this 3 day journey worth saying to friends and family of ours.A special mention for Mars Zheng who did a excellent job and noteworthy PR to all of us.
The tour was enjoyable and we visited all attractions promised in the tour. The guide was ready to answer any questions and made it clear that people had to come back on time or would have to face consequences like public singing ;) Hotels were decent.
My partner and I read some of the reviews for the 3 day Niagara Trip and were wary of some of the slightly negative comments. However we went on the trip and were very pleased that we did so. The trip was pleasant, frequent stops for the restroom and food. The food stops had a variety of choices (subway, kfc, md, supermarkets and restaurants, etc) considering the nature of the trip. The standard of the hotels were superb. The Guide was informative, very pleasant and helpful. There were a couple of niggles however:- No working toilet on the bus. This did not present a problem on our trip due to frequent stops (not too many) and the travellers needs, BUT there should be a working toilet. We arrived at about 9.50pm at Niagara (in time for holiday fireworks) and could only have 15 mins to stay there. After such a long journey, it was such a very short time. 45mins would have been better as the amount of people there made viewing somewhat restricted, extra time would have been most useful. Lastly an awesome thunderstorm meant that our trip to Watkins Glen Park was cancelled. Really dissapointing but understandable (the guide didnt hesitate in refunding monies paid for this event, WELL DONE & THANKS!). We also arrived in Philadelphia at around 5pm and therefore could not stroll through the centuries old Independence Hall and Congress Hall.
We chose not to visit the IMax cinema with the rest of the tour party, but instead used the time to view the falls and nearby area instead - certainly glad we did. Saw a lot of the area in daytime.
All in all - would I recommend this trip - definately. When my partner and I holiday again in the USA, we would definately be looking at trip availability from Taketours.
I just got home from my three day adventure. It was so fun, I definitely recommend it to everyone. The bus was big and comfortable, the accomodation was really nice, the staff were wonderful informative and kind (we had Scott, Kitty and Shaun). There was a little boy on the bus who was getting restless and Scott went above and beyond to entertain him so he did not cry. That was pretty cool. The maid of the mist was soooo beautiful and the walk through the gorge was incredible. I travelled on my own but made new friends. Just make sure you have cash on the trip, you need to pay for activities but they are affordable e.g. maid of the mist boat tour $15, walk $10 and washington cruise approx $25. You can choose what you want to do and what to skip. Do this trip, its great :)
Good tour.Good attractions.Itenary is planned perfectly. There is attraction at almost every 3 hours stop so that we dont feel like travelling hours at a stretch. However there are some negative points .A/c broke in the bus, cruise tour in Washington was waste of time ,we would have spend more time at museums instead .Secret caverns was not that greate.
Tour was really good. The only complaint is they stopped at chinese hotels for lunch / dinner. Other than, we were very happy with guide and the accomodation provided. Will recommend this to all my friends
Took this tour with my bf back in August n we had a wonderful time only complain is the early morning wake ups n too much time spent on the bus. Other than that the trip was great our tour guides n bus driver were awesome.
It is a chinese organized tour, funny and really interesting. The two girls guide were polite and the driver was nice. Really comfortable the seats on the bus and nothing to say about accomodations and food. Positive respons.
It was an excellent tour, well planned and comprehensive. The tour guide and the driver both did a commendable job !
In future there should be an effort to stop at a food court for dinner rather than stopping always at chinese food outlets.
great tour, friendly tour guide and drive. great places for overnight stops. plan ahead for meals if your not a big fast food fan. Highly recommended, just be aware of the extra costs for the attractions!
It was my first time to be in a tour bus and my experiennce with my dad was fantastic.Very affordable, interesting destinations and friendly and nice bus driver, Charlene and tour guide, Allen. Would recommend to my friends...
It was really fun to go with your family and friends. No need to worry about the driving factor.Just book, relax and enjoy. I went with my family and friend's family on this tour. My kid totally enjoyed this tour. We had a great time together. The guides were friendly and engaged all the passengers and entertained. It way fun visiting places and travel in bus. Time well spent.
This is our 2nd time with your company. My husband & I including my son did really enjoyed this tour. Terry, our tour guide was great, including Michael (our bus driver) he's one of the safest driver. I wish we could have more time in Washington DC, not able to see Arlington Cemetery with the changing of the guards, nor we're not able to see Jefferson Memorial, just a glance. Aside from this, it was great. One thing more, DVD player wasn't working, I wish we also have some music playing. I would recommend this to my friends.
Very well organized trip.
Comfortable..considering we go to so many places in 3 days..
Good hotels as well
Only problem was 3rd day of trip..our driver got pissed for some reason and took 1 hour to go between destinations in DC which were 2 miles apart..I guess he didnt get enough sleep and was not aware of itinerary..
But overall..very good trip..highly recommended for people who want to see all important places in little time.
I would have given 5 stars as I had given last year for this same tour, but this time I had couple of issue for which I want to point out:
1. The seat allotment for our 6 members was given at different places and... This is not good at all.
2. The guide showed White House in DC from back side and time available was just to have a glance from the far back and take a pic and back to bus(total 25 mins to walk 1/2 mile and see from back and come back 1/2 mile).
Apart from these two issues, rest of the tour was good with couple of new places added and the guide was good at her job.
The accommodation provided was excellent, Hilton and Holiday Inn hotels.
Tour guide(Johnny) was professional, time-mannered and taken care of each individual.
As mentioned, we were taken to all the places.
Bottomline: I strongly recommend taking this tour is worth of what we pay.
this tour was our first experience in condcted bus tours - and we loved it!!The accomodation was excellent and the experience awesome!
however, like many other's have stated, there is no fee for Glen Park treck and yet they collect fees for this. If they need this money for fuel costs - why dont you add it to the total costs? And payment by cash only is not so convenient if you run out of cash. Overall - excellent vale for money!!!
Overall trip was good for the money you pay. We spend most of the time in bus journey rather outside. It will be good if we spend more time in Niagara and DC, it is like always looking your clock without enjoying beauty of places. Accomdation was excellent.
Good for the money you pay but with a tight schedule. There are some hidden costs in the trip (such as attraction fees $71 and service charges) if these should be informed in advance so the person is aware of them. With Chinese tour guides sometimes it becomes difficut to understand what they say. Hotels were ok. More time should be given at Niagara and DC.
All excluded costs are disclosed in the "Exclusions" section of the tour page. We are sure to list these in detail for every tour provided. Should you have any questions regarding these charges, feel free to contact us at your leisure.
Very good planning. Great value for the money. Able to cover all the places as planned except Philadelphia. Tour guide was very good. Timing is maintained very well. Great planning as the tour schedule was not impacted due to Huricane which was hit in New York/Washingdon DC. Recommend this tour to those who want to cover 4 major places within 3 days
We had a great time..Really enjoyed the tour especially Niagara Falls. I wish we booked more days to see more nice place... Tour guides were polite and can speak English well. Though there are hidden costs still the tour was affordable.
The trip was fantastic , I enjoyed it along with family. The tour guide Gaby was very friendly and the bus driver as well.
We got enough time at thousand Island DC. You can think of giving more time at Niagara, especially for food, there is good Indian restaurant at walking distance (which i saw while returning to the bus). We were advised to finish our lunch in park itself.I would recommend this trip to the friends.
Great tour, but waste of time in Philidelphia, the stop is only 30 minutes so no time to see anything. Dont pay for the Glen park tour its a state park where the entrance is free so when the bus stops just walk in together with the other passengers. Dont buy the imax movie in Niagara Falls its a 15 year old movie and its a boring movie. Great hotels and our guide AL was super :-)
Yet another very good trip !!!
The tour guide was excellent, the bus driver was calm and a very safe driver.
The hotels were very nice and all the locations (Sightseeing & food stops) were excellent.
We would certainly recommend this tours to our friends & relatives.
Love to go anytime again!!!
The trip was nice once I was able to locate the bus. I boarded in DC and we were told to meet at 601 Independence Ave.(NASM) The tour guide tried to call the day of the trip and the number I provided was a home number, which I was not there, to inform me that the bus meets on the opposite side of the museum. I was an hour late for the tour and missed going inside the NASM. They should have contacted us earlier or state exact location if they are going to use a different address. The hotels were very nice and clean. I didn't like arriving at the hotels so late each night.(11pm)
Definitely need more time in Niagara Falls. Overall the trip was good but pretty tiresome. Everyone was friendly and I would recommend it to friends.
Extreme value for money. We boarded from DC. Stayed first night in Comfort Inn, Tysons Corner, VA. Second day went to Niagara. Stayed in Holiday Inn. The next day went to Corning glass museum and Watkins Glen state park and then to NY.
- Extreme value for money.
- Hotels were good.
- Tour Guide (Do not remember the name) and Driver (John) were very good and friendly.
- People on the tour were extremely friendly, a special note for my Kiwi friends (if they read this they will know)
- 100% recommended for people who want to visit Niagara and see a lot of stuff in little time and money.
This is the best tour I've ever taken considering the price we paid for the 3 days trip. I thought there was going to be a smelly hotel and when I got there I was shocked. The tour guides were wonderful. That is why I am booking some addtional trips and recommending the tour for many people especially those who can't afford to take a vacation or a three day getaway. It's perfect and affordable.
Good for the money you pay but a very very tight schedule. You have to plan yourself if you are going with a small kid. There are some hidden costs in the trip (such as attraction fees $71, or service charges) still better value for the money. Only problem I have is bus stops only at Chinese Buffet places which don't have great food. If you are veggie better carry something with you or look around the hotel to find veggie places like subways. I was able to find subways near to the place where we stopped 2 out of 3 times. Hotels were ok. You don't get time for breakfasts so need to pack up day early. There should have been more time given at Niagara and DC instead of spending time in Philly.
Really enjoyed the trip, our tour guide ciciliya was also nice. Really would like to see some more time given at Niagara. Hotels were nice, would really recommend this tour and will definitely plan another trip via this tour.. Really enjoyed it.
I had a great time, everything was on schedule and the tour guide Allan did a great job ex planning everything and make sure everyone was having a great time. The only negative part was too much junk food for the weekend..
The tour is absolutely gr8..the tour staffs were also good..we enjoyed the trip.they shared a lots of good information about various places. Only thing is that if you are travelling with a small kid or infant, you better think twice before onboarding these kind of group tours. They do not like to halt even more than a minute in the rest areas evenif the baby is not doing well from health perspective. Otherwise, it was a great trip and we enjoyed.
We really enjoyed the trip, this is advisable for those who don’t like driving and has limited time to cover these places. The good part is we had an American guide who was well aware of the history and places, so it was really refreshing to hear from him and also they gave plenty of time in Niagara which was most attractive. The hotels were also really good; we stayed in Holiday INN (Maryland) and Radisson (Niagara). I just had one suggestion, instead of cruise trip in Washington (as we again have a cruise at Niagara) if they would have taken to another museum it would be nice.
Nice trip for such a cheap price. Visiting places I saw in movies was a great moment. I wish I spent more time walking in Philly and DC 'cause Niagara Falls is the only interesting thing in Bufallo (haha) and we spent enough time there :)
I enjoyed the tour very much, with the guides Jay and Anthony. While returning to NY, our request to drop us before the Holland Tunnel, at Jersey City was declined. They stated this as a company policy. A brief halt would not have made any significant difference to the Driver and other staff or passengers. Please review your policy and help the people, in order to avoid return journey from Bowery St.
Was such a great tour, just returned a couple of days ago. Me and my friend really enjoyed this tour. We had a great Tour guide (Tommy Wong) who was really fun (and kinda cute). The only problems we had, that the Hotel in Buffalo (Adams Mark) was totally dirty and disgusting. The guide got us in the Glass Center 4 free (we are both 19) but kept our money. Even after asking for it, we didn't really get an answer, what was pretty annoying. Its 28$ we are talking about!!! All in all it was great with just a couple of things. Price is just great and you get a lot.... loved it, would go again!!
Loved it! honestly very good considering the price. and the guides were AWESOME. I had Jim and Jin ^^ and even though they are supposed to speak Chinese most of the time, they really take good care of everyone. Only thing is they should warn people that diner is a buffet, (which is supposed to make everyone happy), but vegetarians complained. And there was nothing they could do. So people should know before they take the tour, and we don't lose our time talking about diner issues!
Tour was very good. Guides were good. One problem we faced was that we are vegetarian. We had problems with getting food, specifically our dinners. Please consider the needs of vegetarians in the future... Thanks!
My husband and I went on this tour not expecting too much due to the price but, decided we would make the best out of it since it was our anniversary. Boy, were we surprised. Not only is the price great but we got way more than we bargained for. The bus was cozy (as a bus can be), the hotels were better than expected (we stayed at the Sheraton and Comfort Inn Suites no free breakfast as previously stated) and we saw a lot in a few days. The biggest surprise was our tour guide Jade, she was friendly, down to earth, and funny and she kept everyone on schedule. I have recommended this tour to all of my friends and intend to go again in the summer with my kids since we weren't able to go on the Maid of the Mist due to it being closed for the season. The food was okay, as previously stated there was a lot of Chinese buffet(the one in Washington was good). However a pointer I can give you is that in Niagara Falls there is a Hard Rock Cafe and a Denny's just a few blocks away, also there is a little cafe at Niagara for coffee, soda and sandwiches. The falls are beautiful and everything is as they said on the website. Carry snacks and some type of entertainment (book, iPod, lover, friend, etc.) because there IS a lot of time on the bus but every stop makes it all worth it. Jade was a wonderful tour guide and I just want to say thank you because she made us feel so comfortable. I gave 5 stars because they deserve it and I won't deduct for the food because it has nothing to do with their service.
Great tour! The timeframe is perfect - We never felt rushed but we still got to see so much in very little time. Niagara Falls is amazing and the monuments in Washington are something everyone should visit once in their life.
The bus was pretty comofrtable (at least, as comfortable as a bus can be), the restaurants we stopped to eat were all good enough; nothing too special but just good enough :)
Our tour guide - Ivey, was amazing! She was very knowledgable and also a very cool person. She really made the tour a great experience.. Thank you Ivey! :)
This tour was good for the money i paid. it was a 3 day tour to Philly, D.C. & Niagara,
I traveled in the month of March 2011,(not a great time to travel, April would be great from what I heard).
pls carry your jackets and gloves (in the winter time) and a good Sports Shoe for long walking.
The pickup point for me was CHINATOWN, MANHATTAN (Bowery st). People who get down from New York Penn Train station can either take a Taxi for 12 dollars (morning 7 o clock, less traffic) or take a Subway Train for 2.50 dollars to reach Chinatown Manhattan. Subways are really close to this place, just a 5 to 8 mins walk.
There was nothing much to see in Philadelphia just 4 buildings, (it is better to opt for 1000 islands), Washington and Niagara were great.
Had so many places to visit in Washington. Niagara was great but missed Maid of Mistť since it was the month of March. Had a good time in those 3 days even though there was a lot of traveling. The tour was cost effective (value for your money).
The hotels were I stayed was very good. You have huge spaces in the Bus for your baggage. But the restaurants which they stopped during dinners were all Chinese restaurants (which cost up to Max 15 dollars a meal).
Vegetarians better carry food on your own.
The Tour guide MR. Tommy Wong was not great, he was not polite to a few people on the bus; he has to improve a lot on his interpersonal skills. The tour was totally unscheduled. Tommy had no clue where we were going next and in which hotel we are going to stay that night.
I believe he can improve and do a betterjob next time. I heard the other tour guides were much better.
Even though the tour was not well planned things went on better than what I expected, value for your money, I would recommend this tour just for the cost.
Very Tight Schedule! The hotels are very good, but you spend a lot of time on a bus. Still, you really get to see a lot in a few days and the price is more than fair.
You have to pay tips though and you have to pay for the food. Also you don't have all that much choice with food, since it is always chinese.
I would advice this trip only if you really need to see these places and you don't have much time to do that. That was my case and I guess it worked for me.
Tour was good. The acommodation was very good and the times in the differents places was good too. Only I think the guide must improve his vocalization. Nobody undertood his English, even the chinese people didn't undertand him when he spoke Chinese.
I had an excellent time. I am a young solo lady traveler. I was extremely impressed by the tour guide who knew his stuff about each place. The tour I went on was between 19th Nov 2010- 21st November 2010. The Tour guide made us laugh and tried to make us feel so comfortable. He was excellent I can't remember his name but I was on bus 103. If one person was late back from the tour then we would have lesser time at the next stop. He made that clear but people on the tour took advantage of the time. It is a must and I recommend it. If you don't like coach trips then it isn't for you. But it was worth the money. Hotels are excellent, no need to upgrade. On my bus everyone was friendly and we all had a laugh. You don't have to know Chinese and make sure you have $20 each for the bus driver and tour guide tip. I will go again!
I had a very wonderful and enjoyable tour for 3 days with my wife. The tourist guide really provided us with good care and guidance all throughout the trip. We visited New York - Philadelphia - Niagara safely and smoothly due to our bus driver who was so careful and safety conscious. Overall the tour is recommendable. I'm looking to have another tour in the future.
Tour was worth the money. Hotels were very good and comfortable. Food was predominantly Chinese, needs to cater to vegetarians as well. Our guide Ivy was good, Jessica seems to be in the wrong profession, hardly knew any information. Tip amounts were fixed! Tour does not cover important tour points in DC. Overall enjoyed the tour.
The hotels and the places that we visited are amazing... The boat in Niagara Falls was really good. I just recommend that the tour guides don't have to obligate the tourists to pay for all the attractions and go to a really expensive Chinese buffet restaurant, the majority of the bus really wanted to eat fast food. And the tour guides have to listen and treat the tourists very careful. Like I said, that was a really nice experience beside the tour guides and I recommend....
Value for the money. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We were traveling with a kid and did not face any problem since we got ample space in the bus for him to play around. The only disadvantage is long journey in the bus but that too was minimized with frequent stops at Rest Places. The Tour Guide was excellent.
The tour was good and hotel accommodations were nice. It is suggested for dinner that the bus should stop near food courts instead of far off and out of the way Chinese restaurants as more than half the tourists were searching for fast food places. The return drop of time should be realistic as the bus reached two and half hours late from scheduled time in Chinatown.
I enjoyed this tour a lot! Would have spent more time at Air & Space museum and overall in Washington instead of Corning Glass Center. The accommodation is good. I would recommend this tour to my friends.
Great tour for the money!! I would cut out the glass museum so you have more time in Washington DC!! Our Driver Mr. Miller was the best and the tour guide Don, our own Kung Fu master was also very good! No complaints. Good hotels and just enjoyed everything!!
Enjoyed a lot! Would have spent more time at Air & Space museum. We had Jet as a tour guide and he is awesome.
The accommodation is good and had good Indian food most of the time.
I would recommend this tour to my friends..
This is the second time I am taking this tour. This time with my mother. I felt there were changes from last year to this year.
Positive changes: Hilton was awesome, food stops were made at great location with lot of options(not just Chinese), more time in Niagara Falls(took 2 tours), great guide and driver - Daniel and Michel Jackson!!
Negative - Did not visit Hershey's, did not get enough time in Corning Glass factory.
I would suggest this tour to anyone who want to cover lot of places in limited time.
Me and my wife enjoyed all 3 days. The tour guide Daniel organized the tour very well and cooperated with all of us. We had fun with him every day of the trip. And our Bus driver Michel was wonderful, he drove the bus likes very well. Initially it was looks like everything was hurried after some time we got enough time to see all the places and particularly in Niagara we had a very good time and enough time to see all the places. Thank a lot for GotoBus for giving such wonderful packages for such low prices.
The tour was wonderful, the arrangements made by tour operator were pretty good especially Hotels. We would have liked more time in Washington rather than spending a bit in Philly... but overall I am satisfied with the value I paid for this tour.
We enjoyed the 3 days, The tour was very well organized, good hotel accommodation and plenty of places to see especially the Hershey's chocolate tour, but we could have spent some more time near Niagara Falls to see the night view and also some more time near the Capitol Hill in Washington.
This is my first visit to the US. The tour was very well organized and our tour guide Emili was very smart, she ensured that we saw everything on time. I would recommend you to have some tours starting from Washington DC also.
We had our first tour weekend of labor day. We had so much fun. Our tour guide Hank was very accommodating, even if some of the passenger's were late. Our tour bus driver, 2 thumbs up - a safe driver. We would love to do this again. And thanks to my sister-in-law who introduces us to Gotobus.com. The Solvang visit was just too fast, we hope that we had more time to go around the village. The hotel was definitely A+, very clean & what a huge room & 2 queen size beds, loved it!
The tour was well organized and the hotel was nice and clean the tour guides kei kei and patrick were friendly. The driver Mr. Su drove very well and we were very comfortable on the bus. The food was great.
The tour was very good. We also covered Hershey's Chocolate factory park which was not in itenerary.
Some minus points were - we could not spend some more time in DC near White House or in museums as we were rushed up. Also in Niagara - could not go to Cave of the winds and were take to Niagara on rainy day (plan was changed)
But overall worth the money as we cannot cover these areas in this small time like GoToBus does.
Also the hotel accomodations were great.
it was a nice tour conducted by GotoBus. Hotels were fine. Niagara view was fantastic! We couldn't get time to see museums in Washington. So you can skip Philly and can stretch more time to see museums. Bill (driver) and Lougen (guide) were fantastic!
Tour was nice and well-organized. The tour guides were helpful. If the overnight hotel accommodations are arranged much closer to the city, it would save lot of unnecessary commute time. Also, not everyone is thrilled with Chinese buffet.
I commend you for the orderly conduct of the tour. My family enjoyed the trip. It was a great tour. Your tour guide for our trip was Mr JASON HAN. He is young, smart, dynamic, intelligent, and humorous. He kept all of us entertained throughout the whole tour. Arrangement for accommodation
The whole tour was great!! I had read many reviews before my friend and I booked this, so we were well aware of the Chinese guides and food and everything, but it was so much better than we had hoped for! So cheap and we got to see everything we wanted
Excellent! We got more than expected for the price. We where a little suspicious but whole trip went smoothly and well controlled by Deny (great job). No delays and Deny was very helpful. Accommodation with meals better than expected for this price. The driver was excellent and we were on time everywhere. We met some very interesting people from Puerto Rico and India and had a great time. Regards, two families from Croatia, Europe.
Had a three day tour to Washington DC, Niagara. Emily(tour guide) was exceptional, knowledgeable, and very punctual. Hotels rooms were neat and clean, some even provided continental breakfast. They covered a lot of attraction in few days. Recommend it 100%!
Great tour and good hotels, although we had some problems understanding our guide. English was not fluent. Please, stick to the itinerary. Tour guides should be a little more strict on people. We lost an attraction on Niagara due to being late.
The tour was great and my family enjoyed very much. The tour guide Jet and Quintene are professional and friendly. Their back up services and crisis management skill when accident occurred really let me learn more. Thank you very much.
We had 3 days tour to Washington DC and Niagara falls, the Bus driver Joe and the Guide Quintene and Will were great, though some customers had no sense of timing, still Quintene and Joe handled everything with great patience; I would like to recommend to the owner that Quintene and Joe should be offered a bonus after my review for their great work and dealings that will keep their business rolling with great goodwill; thanks Joe and Quintene, I'm planning another trip, hopefully I will get you again.
I have been on gotobus tours in past. I sent my parents on this trip and they completely enjoyed this tour. Hotel accomodation was comfortable and tour was well managed. A good value for time and money.
I had a 3 days tour to DC, Niagara with my parents and it was one of the best tours of our lives.. The guide(Don) was very nice and so was the driver.. I recommend this tour to everyone, thanks gotobus.
I loved the trip. This is perfect for those who are not willing to drive in those crowded cities, who enjoy just sitting back and let the guide and driver do what they do.Our guides Quentin and Jonathan and Driver Peter were very personable and were good at their jobs.If you have small kids or old parents who cannot walk fast, please stay away from this. You are not only wasting your money, you are causing inconvenience to 60 other people. If you are one of those who wants to spend hours at each attraction, then this is not for you.
Everything was well-organised and properly executed. Pace was comfortable and there were sufficient rest stops along some stretches of long bus journey from one point to the other. Jason, our guide, was very friendly, fun-loving and professional ~ one of the best guides I have ever seen in my many overseas tours!
The tour was a great experience for us. We are senior couple. We enjoyed the comfortable bus ride, hotel accommodations and every thing was flawless. The tour guide, Mr. Daniel was very considerate and helpful. We recommended this tour to our relatives and friends in U.S. Thank you!
Me and my family generally liked the tour. However more time should be given at Niagara Falls. The tour party missed the Cave of the Winds because the counter closed before the tour guide could buy the tickets. These should be procured in advance and proper planning should be done to take care of tourist rush seasons. One will normally not make such visits a second time, so we really missed out on one opportunity. The tour guide, she was very nice and helpful, however your company needs to ensure that their spoken English is acceptable.
The three day tour was really good... we covered a lot of things... We also covered the hershey's chocolate factory which was not in the list (which was gr8 again). Even our bus driver and guide Mr.Alex were excellent.
I had sent my parents to this tour recently and they said it was great. They said the driver was awesome and tried to stick with the schedule as much as possible. They saw many places such as corning glass factory that I could visit during my last trip to NY. Gotobus is going to be my tour bus next time. Thanks guys and keep up the good work!!
The trip was awesome. My only suggestion is for the itinerary to stick to the one that is shown in the website in this way you avoid confusions and get more business. The guide Mr. Canko was awesome, very friendly and supportive. Giving 4 starts because of few bad decisions about the itinerary taken without consulting the passengers.
I got married at the Niagara falls. It was the most wonderful experience. The falls are even prettier that I imagined them!!!!! My only suggestion is for the itinerary to stick to the one that is shown in the website in this way you avoid confusions. Thanks and see you next time!
Tour was fantastic for first time US Visitors. Best Part was Niagara Falls. I personally feel that the Tour Guide's english accent was difficult to understand. I suggest that if they remove DC Cruise attraction then they can save a lot of time and we can get to see more things in DC.
This was the first time in US, I took any kind of tours. And to my surprise, the tour was exceptionally good. Special mention to out tour guide King and driver Leo. King was very co-operative and humorous. He kept the spirit alive for all 3 days. The hotels booked were also pretty good for the price paid. We almost covered 7 states in 3 days(22nd April to 24th April). Everything was on time and that was the most important thing. We never got delayed for any of the destinations and covered all places which are mentioned in the itinerary. This trip was very special to me as I was taking my parents along with and they liked it very much. Only suggestion I have is the stops shouldn't only be at Italian and Chinese joints. Overall, I'll not think twice before referring someone for this tour.
I booked this tour for my parents and they really enjoyed this tour. They had a wonderful guide whose name is King who used to call them Mummy and Puppa (Viswanathan). My parents enjoyed the service provided by the bus tour and King. They would like to convey their special thanks to King. Their tour started on 14th April and ended on 16th April. I would like to provide my special thanks to King. They also liked the driver who was very cooperative. Given this tour is taken by lot of Indians I would suggest that the bus should stop in some Indian place for lunch or dinner.
We had to cancel our reservation due to a special situation related to volcano activities in Europe. Customer representatives were very kind and returned more money than stated in their policy due to this specific issue. Thank you.
Awesome tour! My parents came from India and I didn't have much time to show them around, so I booked it for them . They enjoyed and felt very comfortable. Hotels were nice. They did include Indian buffet ( unlike Chinese buffet mentioned in most reviews). Will travel again . I would recommend it to anyone who look forward to a well planned and orgainzed tour without the hassle to arrange one.
The trip was great. A highly recommended one for first timers and tourists. As people have said early, the guide needs to be better trained in English and also it would be preferred if they stop for lunch and dinner at Food Courts where we would have more options other than only Chinese. But overall it was a great experince. Keep up the good work guys.
Trip is awesome. Accommodation was fantastic. Niagara IMAX movie was a spoiler. I expected it to be 3D but it was just a plain boring movie. Try to skip it and spend more time at the falls. Guide Jason was very good, although, his English is just like Chinese :)
Hello everyone, my name is Francis and I write from Italy, I was on holiday in New York and this time I booked a trip of 3 days GotoBus. Could not be better choice. It has been a wonderful experience, the guide Jason was very professional and friendly. The only bad thing was the bus was not in perfect condition and vibration during the trip was very annoying. Still recommend it to anyone doing this 3-day tour, Niagara Falls have enchanted.
It was spectacular. My mom even cry with so much beauty. I felt I had a chauffeur, a personal keeper and a baby sister. It was great, I highly recommended. DANIEL, 24 years old, from Columbia University was our Tour Guide, He was excellent, When you take the tour requested him, he is great. I had my doubts when I first book it, It was too good to be true, But the whole trip was more than what I expected it to be. For this price, everything is right.
Fantastic value for money. Jason our tour guide was really helpfull and good fun. Really busy tour with loads to see. Would definately recommend to others. Washington DC brilliant and Niagra amazing - crossed to Canada to get a better view. Thanks GotoBus.
Washington DC And Niagra falls view and scenes are awesome. The journey of three days is very relaxed with lots of Leg-space in Goto bus.Only thing is we require more time to go around the areas we visit as most of time is spent in travelling as compared to see all places.
It was a good tour. I think when the bus stops to visit a place, it should give us more time to go around the area. We felt rush the first day we were in Philly and Washington. Also, the food place need to be more varied for everybody. I understand more of the passengers are Chinese but still there should be considerations for others who would like to eat other type of food. Thanks!!
Great experience....I would do it all over again but in Summer. Good value for money! Hotels were great and came with free breakfast. Too many places to see therefore a little rushed to fit the schedule. Our tour guide (Jin) was awesome, fun and knowledgeable and the captain (John) a good driver!
Tour was great, VERY organised and ask for FEI, she is the most knowlegeable tourguide for this tour and a wonderful person. Accomodation great, and be prepared to be busy! The Chinese food was awesome despite previous Shridhar review (and I am not chinese!) there is plenty of food to choose from for meals!
tour is really more than worth the money...hotels are good....should spend more time at Philly and Niagara falls...cut the corning stop..Very imp suggestion:: Please take stops where there is food for everyone....and not jus chinese food joints/buffets....Very good tour...
tour was great - however - i also would cut out corning glass visit to spend more time in philadelphia or niagara. Accomodation was lovely - our guide fei was fantastic - whole tour conducted in english. Very good value for money
Really enjoyed this tour - would have like more time at Niagara Falls. Would cut out the Corning Glass visit to spend more time at Niagara. We had a great tour guide (Jason). I would recommend this tour if you are short of time - you get to see plenty of Washington DC - it was great.
