Day 1: New York - Polar Cave Park or Flume Gorge(270 miles)

Guests will be picked up in New York City in the morning. We will go to the Polar Caves of the White Mountains, giving us a chance to explore these gorgeous caverns, formed by glacial activity thousands of years ago.

During the slow season, the Polar Cave Park needs at least 20 visitors to operate the tour. In the case of insufficient number of visitors, we will go to Flume Gorge instead.

    New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest is home to Polar Caves Park and the beautiful views of the Kancamagus Highway. Be sure to ride the Mount Washington Cog Railway, a train that uses special tracks to climb the mountain!

    Polar Caves Park

    This unique park is a combination of natural glacial caverns, a zoo, and a botanical garden. Polar Caves Park is particularly family-friendly, allowing children to feed animals like deer and offering a mining game for kids and adults.

    Admission (Optional): Adult $24.50; Child (4-11 yrs) $14.50; Senior (Over 65 yrs) $24.50|Duration: Approx. 1 Hour

Day 2: Cannon Mountain - Flume Gorge - Washington Mountain(95 miles)

In the morning, we will take a cable car to the summit of Cannon Mountain, which offers views of four surrounding states and Canada from the observation deck. And continue to Flume Gorge where we can walk a narrow passage lined with over twenty distinct waterfalls. Then we'll explore the White Mountain National Forest, which is home to Mount Washington, the tallest peak in the Northeastern United States. Here, we will take the Cog Railway to the top, allowing us to take in the magnificent mountainside views without the physical exertion required to climb a mountain on foot.

If the Polar Cave Park is not open and we go to Flume Gorge on the first day of the itinerary, we will go to the Winnipesaukee Lake Scenic Cruise(optional, 150mins) on the second day of the itinerary.
  • Franconia Notch State Park, NH

    located in the White Mountains in northern New Hampshire, United States. The park is home to Cannon Mountain, a state-owned ski resort started in the 1930s. Cannon is also famous for being one of the most challenging hills in New England.

    Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway

    This 80-passenger cable car brings guests more than 2,000 feet in the air to the top of Cannon Mountain. Located in Franconia Notch State Park, Cannon Mountain is famous for its alpine skiing trails and rock climbing.

    Flume Gorge

    The Flume Gorge-- or simply "The Flume"-- is a natural, 800-foot-long gorge at the foot of Mount Liberty in New Hampshire's Franconia Notch State Park. Visitors may walk through the gorge and see the Flume Brook waterfall.

    Admission (Optional): Adult $18; Child (6-12 yrs) $16; Senior (Over 65 yrs) $18|Duration: Approx. 1 Hour 15 Minutes

    A 65-acre state park in Gilford, New Hampshire, located on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipesaukee. The park has 600 feet (180 m) of beachfront. There is a pavilion, an accessible bathhouse with showers and a changing area for swimmers.

    The largest lake in New Hampshire and third-largest in New England, Lake Winnipesaukee has been a vacation destination for more than a century. Guests on the boats can see sights like the Eagle Island Narrows and Diamond Island.

    The Mount Washington Cog Railway was the first mountain-climbing cog railway, and has been humming along since 1868. It is still the second-steepest railway of its kind in the world, climbing at as much as a 37% incline.

In the morning, we will go to Kancamagus Maple landscape highway. After that, we will move to Moonlight Meadery(Wine tasting must be 21+). Then we will return to New York, where guests will be dropped off in the evening.

  • A mandatory service fees: Minimum $12 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $12 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $48.

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    16 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund.
    9-15 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 8 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
  • Some of the destinations may be closed due to Covid pandemic.Please follow your tour leader's instruction. Your kind understanding and cooperation are highly appreciated.

Additional Note

  • Hotel & Tour Guide Information: This information will be provided by the tour guide the night before departure between 7:00pm - 9:00pm EST via phone call or text message. If for any reason the you do not receive the call or text, you should be at the pickup location at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.�
  • City passes are not accepted during an escorted tour due to the fact that they do not correspond into the tour schedule. The group entrance tickets provided by tour guides have fast lane and tour guides accompany passengers for activities.
  • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
  • Itineraries are subject to change due to the weather, transportation and other conditions, in order to provide the best experience for you.
  • Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
  • Hotel rooms: Each hotel room can accommodate no more than 4 guests (adults or children), and existing bedding must be used
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
