Travel in Florida

I took the 7-day Orlando trip and liked that they shuttled us between the hotel and parks each day. Park tickets weren't included, so I booked them in advance and reserved FastPass before arriving, which made entry smooth.

I visited Clearwater Marine Aquarium with my family. The ticket covered both locations and free parking, plus a complimentary shuttle between them, which was handy. We saw Winter the dolphin swimming with her prosthetic tail, and my kids were fascinated.

We left Orlando in the morning and drove nearly 200 miles round trip, arriving in St. Augustine around noon. The one-hour trolley ride through the old town was a good way to see the fort and college without tiring ourselves out.

The bus left Bayside Marketplace at 8pm and the ride lasted about 75 to 90 minutes. Ocean Drive and the illuminated downtown looked great for night photos. The live guide was informative, though it wasn't a hop-on-hop-off route, so we stayed on board the whole time.

We left Orlando in the morning and drove about 188 miles to St. Augustine. It was a long day round-trip, but seeing the fort, Flagler College, and the Lightner Museum made it feel worthwhile. Lunch wasn't included, so I bought something on my own.
