The Cambodian's gastronomy is rich and varied, with tastes and flavours which differs from the neighbouring countries. To fully understand and appreciate Khmer cuisine, it's important to become familiar with the various raw ingredients in their natural state, and to study and to practice traditional Khmer methods of food preparation.
Our cooking class wants to offer you the possibility to discover this in a clean and comfortable setting, taught in a fun way. The classes take place in groups of up to 12 participants. Students are taught to cook complete dishes from scratch, starter, main dish and dessert. Each student receives all ingredients to cook his/her own dish. All preparation work and cooking are hands-on experiences, performed entirely by our students.

We explore "the hidden pearl of Asia" with a guided tour of the city stopping at sites of interest along the way, including: The spectacular Royal Palace (a classic example of royal Khmer architecture), Silver Pagoda (Emerald Buddha), newly erected statue commemorating the late King Father (Sihanouk), the pagoda at Wat Phnom, the Silver Pagoda and Independence Monument. After lunch we continue our tour of Phnom Penh by taking a sobering walk through Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21).
Here there are stark and moving reminders of Cambodia's recent tragic past. Our expert guide will explain the historical, political and social context of the bleak period of Khmer history which followed the fall of Phnom Penh in April 1975. Then continue on to Choeung Ek Memorial, one of the infamous Killing Fields, where the Khmer Rouge executed around 17,000 of the estimated 2 million Cambodians who perished under the Pol Pot regime. Finally we take you back to your hotel.
We explore the stunning Royal Palace complex, home to the Cambodian royal family and a symbol of the nation. We begin amid the beautiful royal gardens, landscaped with tropical plants and studded with gleaming spires. We enter the Throne Hall where the royal receptions are held and the Cambodian king's coronation took place.
We then pass the Napoleon III Pavilion made from iron, a gift from the French emperor in the 19th century. We continue to the Silver Pagoda, named after the 5000 silver tiles covering the floor, each weighing 1kg. Inside are some of the country's most cherished treasures, including a life-size gold Buddha studded with 9584 diamonds, the largest weighing 25 carats. There is also a delicate emerald Buddha made of baccarat crystal, which gives the temple its Khmer name of Wat Preah Keo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha).
We leave the Royal Palace and continue to Toul Sleng museum. Here there are stark and moving reminders of Cambodia's recent tragic past. This evening, you'll embark on a journey through Phnom Penh's vibrant nightlife using the local transportation known as "Tuk Tuk" or "Remork."
Your first stop will be the iconic Independence Monument, a majestic sight especially when it's beautifully illuminated after dark. From there, you'll continue to the Royal Palace Park, a popular spot where both locals and expatriates gather in the late evening to enjoy a leisurely walk or get some exercise while taking in the lively atmosphere.
As the night unfolds, you'll have the opportunity to savor a delightful dinner at a local restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Mekong River. The serene ambiance and panoramic riverside setting create the perfect backdrop for a relaxed dining experience.
To conclude this memorable evening, you'll head to a stylish rooftop bar, where you can sip on a refreshing cocktail while admiring the sweeping views of Phnom Penh's cityscape and the Mekong River. This evening tour lasts from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, offering a blend of cultural landmarks, local flavors, and stunning scenery.
