DAY1 Hometown - New York City

Our tour guide will meet you at the airport (Baggage Claim Area) and take you to the hotel.
We offer pick-up service for JFK, LGA and EWR airports. For the best service, please choose EWR (Newark Liberty International Airport).

DAY2 New York City - Corning Glass Center - Niagara Falls (402 miles)

Today we will officially begin our tour, departing from New York City on our way to upstate New York to visit the Corning Museum of Glass,* the largest glass museum in the world, with more than 45,000 objects showcasing over 3,500 years of glassmaking history. Be sure to see their live, narrated glassmaking demonstrations and stop by the gift shop for a unique memento of your trip. Afterwards we will travel to Niagara Falls. The Falls is collectively made from the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, which are famous for their beauty and as valuable sources of hydroelectric power. In the evening, enjoy a breathtaking night view of this natural wonder as intense spotlights shower the Falls with different shades of the rainbow.

DAY3 Niagara Falls - Toronto (79 miles)

Today we will enjoy a spectacular view of Niagara Falls up close on the Maid of the Mist boat ride,* which will take us into the rapids at the very base of the Falls in a thrilling half hour you’ll never forget. Be prepared to get soaked as we explore the roar of the Falls on North America’s oldest tourist attraction! (Note: The “Maid of the Mist” is only available April – Oct.) After this we will stop at the Niagara Falls IMAX Theater to experience the Falls by watching The Falls Movie: Legends and Daredevils.* From here we will proceed to Skylon Tower* on the Canadian side of the Falls and enjoy an exhilarating 52 second ride to the top, which rises 775 feet above the mighty Falls. In the late morning, we will travel to Toronto, where we will arrive in the mid-afternoon and stand on the glass floor at the top of the CN Tower,* looking out across the downtown area to the harbor. We will also visit the Rogers Centre stadium, the Toronto City Hall with its immense, futuristic architecture, the picturesque Ontario Legislative Building, and the campus of the University of Toronto. We will then embark on a cruise of Toronto Harbor* to see a panoramic view of the city from the water before eating dinner in Toronto’s Chinatown.

DAY4 Toronto - Thousand Island - Ottawa - Montreal (423 miles)

In the morning we will depart for the Thousand Islands, a stunning archipelago of more than 1800 islands in Lake Ontario. As we navigate along the St. Lawrence River past famous attractions like Boldt Castle, Millionaires Row, and Zavikon Island on our Thousand Islands boat ride,* we will enjoy the picturesque landscape and unique scenery of the islands. (Note: The Thousand Islands cruise is only available from late April to October.) After the cruise, we will head to Ottawa, the capital of Canada, where we will arrive in the late morning for a short tour of Parliament Hill, home to Canada’s parliament buildings, the Centennial Flame, and Peace Tower, as well as Embassy Row (a residential area for many foreign ambassadors) and the Rideau Canal. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Montreal, the world's second largest French-speaking city (second only to Paris), where we will visit Saint Joseph’s Oratory and Montreal’s Olympic Stadium,* built for the 1976 Summer Olympics.

DAY5 Montreal - Quebec - Boston (552 miles)

This morning, we will travel to Quebec City, the walled provincial capital of Quebec. On our tour of this quaint, historic city, we will pass by the countless buildings and city squares that are steeped in history in Quebec City’s downtown area, as well as the grand waterfront Chateau Frontenac on its hill overlooking the city. We will also visit the ancient Citadelle of Quebec,* part of the fortifications of the city. In the early afternoon, we will head back to the US-Canada border and travel to the city of Boston, the capital of Massachusetts as well as one of America’s oldest cities, with a rich economic, social, and political history. Upon our arrival in the evening, we will stop for a delicious lobster dinner. A visit to New England would not be complete without this attraction!

DAY6 Boston - Hometown or Boston - New York - Hometown (225 miles)

Today we will take a city tour of Boston, exploring the campuses of Harvard University, the oldest university in the United States, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or MIT, one of the world’s greatest science and technology schools. We will also visit the Massachusetts State House, the state capitol building and home of the Massachusetts state government. After this, you will be free to wander around Quincy Market, one of Boston’s most popular eating and gathering places, set in a cobblestone promenade where jugglers, magicians, and musicians entertain the passers-by. Then join us as we relax aboard a Boston Harbor Cruise*, giving us a breathtaking view of the city from the water. After the cruise, we will drop off some passengers at the Logan Airport in Boston and then head back to New York City. Please schedule flights departing Boston after 1:00pm or the New York City area after 6:45pm.

Remark: We do NOT allow customers to use the CITY PASS to join the New York City sightseeing attractions included in this tour.

    • Airport pickup: In case of flight delayed (more than 30 mins) or other reasons out of our control, passengers have to pay for their own transportation fee to the hotel.

    • Lodging: Single price is for one person staying in one room. Double, Triple and Quadruple prices are for two people, three people and four people staying in one room respectively. Triple and Quad rooms are based on the existing bedding in a room which is 2 double beds.
    • Child Rate: Child rates apply to those 2-9 years and using existing bedding with 2 full-paying passengers (regardless of ages). Please note each hotel room can only accommodate 4 guests (adults or children).
    • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
    • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 1-2 business days after booking, please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.
      Confirmation
    Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 36 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.
      Redemption
    Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

    Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.

    Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

    Cancellation penalties per person for 1-4 days tours

    • 15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    • 7-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    • 4-6 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    • Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    • Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

    Cancellation penalties per person for tours last 5 or more days

    • Up to 46 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    • 21-45 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    • 8-20 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    • 1-7 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

    Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

    Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
