Lake Powell
The Lake Powell reservoir is formed by the Glen Canyon Dam along the Colorado River, a popular tourist location, where visitors can enjoy their time by fishing, boating, hiking, and doing many other activities.
Glen Canyon Dam
This concrete arch dam in northern Arizona barricades the Colorado River and creates Lake Powell, the second-largest man-made lake in the country. Lake Powell is a haven for water-skiers and boaters, and is also popular with fishermen.
Horseshoe Bend
Horseshoe Bend, located within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area about 5 miles downriver from Lake Powell, is a sharp turn in the Colorado River that formed from erosion over the course of millions of years.
Antelope Canyon, AZ
The most popular slot canyon in the American Southwest is Antelope Canyon, a sandstone formation formed by flood and rainwater. The canyon is located on a Navajo reservation, and has been made a Navajo Tribal Park.
After an included breakfast at your Page hotel you may optional for a half day float tour down the Colorado River, a swim in the beautiful blue waters of Lake Powell or a scenic boat cruise before heading back to Las Vegas. A boxed lunch is included today and depending on your interests you may be offered a tour of the Big Water Dinosaur Center where you will find a vibrant 30' mural depicting the late cretaceous period, real dinosaur fossils on display and a topographic relief model of the Grand Staircase Escalate National Monument. Arrival time back to Las Vegas is approx. 6-7pm.
