I did the 7 days Southwest Highlights trip (camping) back in early October 2019 and had the best time! I normally would just rate a company without leaving additional comments, but with this company I almost feel urged to do so as the level of personal attention, professionalism & overall fun during the tour really made the difference for me. I think it’s safe to say it is among the best, if not the best, excursion experiences I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend them and will surely look them up again for a next trip to the US myself!
Our guide, Marie, was all you’d expect in a tour guide, but unfortunately rarely get; enthusiastic, passionate about all the sights we’ve seen, she gave plenty of personal attention, she was part of the team and not ‘only’ a tour guide, she was respectful & told us lots of interesting stories & bits on all sights and things along the way. Whenever I had a question, she had an answer. Our tour being the last one before winter season, a cold front headed towards the camping sites in the last 2 days of our tour, and Marie felt more than responsible to upgrade us to hotel rooms & constantly checked on us and our needs. She arranged it and kept us constantly up to date on all developments, this is where she really made the difference for me.
Camping grounds & services are of good level, most of them have complimentary Wi-Fi, plenty of charging points & good restroom facilities. The vehicle in which we made this trip was comfortable, has good air conditioning, several charging points for electronic devices, so we’d always arrive full of energy at the next destination. Based on each destination, a specific playlist was played on the radio to completely indulge you into the moment of seeing and experiencing a destination for the first time. To me, this showed eye for detail & helped in creating the best memories possible of all these places.
The itinerary itself is simply great. A lot of things are covered in one week & leaves time for some relaxation, mostly in the evenings, as well. Multiple options for the day -varying on e.g. intensity of a hike, either hiking or visiting a town- are given as option to you upfront, so you can just go ahead and pick whichever you like most or plan a ‘day off’ from hiking if you’re in need of some rest. For me, my only (really minor) issue with the itinerary was that I really liked the delicious picnic style diner at Dead Horse Viewpoint, but it sort of had an overlap with Canyonlands the next day in terms of views on the scenery. Just Dead Horse Viewpoint would’ve been enough for me, but this is personal, and the next guy might completely disagree with me here. The rest of the itinerary is perfectly planned, and my best memories remain the carefully planned sunset moments – Every night, we were exactly at the right place when the sun was about to set. Great photo opportunities as well! Biggest highlights for me were Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park & Monument Valley. Especially the hike in Bryce Canyon is one of a kind!
Thanks, for this wonderful experience. I just feel my Southwest USA experience, a bucket list trip for almost 30 years, would not have been the same when booked through another tour provider, and that’s exactly the feeling I hope to conclude any tour with.
A trip to remember !
We had an amazing Southwest adventure ! We had the best guide Marie and couldn't of asked for 11 better people to travel with from all over the world !
We chose the camping option and we are so glad we did. Tents were easy to set up and everyone helped with camp setup and take down. You just got to know everyone better sitting around the campfire , sharing stories. A few nights got rather cold and Marie was on top of getting us other sleeping options for our comfort.
Tour bus was comfortable for the 13 of us and Marie was an exceptional driver especially with cargo trailer in tow. She was full of info for each spot we headed to . All destinations were beautiful and had the wow factor . You could choose the level or amount of hiking you wished to do and had more than enough time at each spot. Definitely some early mornings and very busy days so if your into sleeping in and lounging around maybe not the best choice for you.
This is one of the best tours we've ever done and would recommend this tour company to our friends. The destinations, our guide Marie and our 11 new friends made it a trip to remember !
I never write reviews but this trip was amazing and this tour company is highly deserving of a glowing review. I did the camping version which was a lot of fun to be in the outdoors in this beautiful scenery. There were 13 of us from all different countries, and a wide age range, almost all solo travellers, and we got along great. Marie was a spectacular tour guide, knowledgeable, organized, and fun. I was expecting camping type food and was pleasantly surprised at how well we ate! The parks were incredible and varied in their terrain. Having done the research for visiting these areas on a tour, I can say that this company offers the best itinerary and also at the lowest cost. Book with them, you’ll be glad you did!
Had A Great Time
Wow! First, our tour guide, Alex, was so knowledgeable. I loved his narration which included geological details as well as anthropology and much more. He was so organised and nothing seemed to phase him. The whole package of iconic sites, camping and meeting new people was truly one of my favourite travelling moments. All of the locations were amazing but Monument Valley was super special for me. The extra activities which included a helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon (the combined visual spectacle and music playlist overwhelmed me - wonderful,) a hummer offroad experience (so much giggling - thank you Ryan) and Antelope Canyon (totally magical) were impressive. Yay and well done!!
We (myself and my wife) went on this amazing tour for 8 days. We will cherish the memories of this trip for the rest of our lives. Although felt strenuous at some times, in the end, every step turned out to be worth. As far as service is concerned, it was outstanding. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable explaining how Colorado-plaute was formed and how several nature's forces came together in shaping these wonderful canyons, arches, bridges and huddoes. Accommodations provided were excellent. Lunch sandwiches although tasted delicious to start with, by the end of eight days they started to feel boring. Overall trip was enjoyable and memorable,
An unforgettable tour of the southwest parks
We both had an amazing experience seeing some of the best highlights in the southwest parks. Our guide Marie was outstanding and gave us lots of info on all the areas we visited while keeping all of us on track with her superb organisational skills.
I got a lot more than expected ... can totally recommend
It was my first trip to America and I wanted to see as much as possible. So I booked two tours with this company. The 7 days Southwest Highlights and the 7 days Rocky Mountain Explorer Tour including Yellowstone.
I never did camping before and didn't know what to expect. I would still prefer a bed than a sleepingbag but I would definitely do it again. It is the best way to meet interesting people from all over the world and it is easy to make new friends while sitting around a campfire. :-)
The organization was perfect and our tourguide Christopher Patrick is an amazing person. He was always patient, caring, friendly and tried to do everything to meet our expectations. He surprised us every day with funny costumes, jokes and his wonderful personality. I expected a good trip and new ecperiences ... but I got a lot more. I lost my heart to the Mid West and found new friends.
THANK YOU Chris. It was the trip of my life! <3
SPECTACULAR TRIP / WONDERFUL TOUR-COMPANY / GREAT TOUR-GUIDE
My girlfriend and I returned last week (Sept 28, 2019) from the 7-day National Parks tour. I am confident it will forever rank in the top-3-greatest-trips-ever-in-our-lives list. It was SPECTACULAR
The itinerary was excellent! Yes - one can spend a week just at any single one of these wonderful national parks. Each was uniquely different - something I, personally, was not fully expecting. But our tour provided us with just the right amount of time to capture the highlights (and more) of each of the various parks and attractions along the way. At each of the park destinations, the group split up and folks accomplished whatever they wanted to do - site-see, easy walk/hike, or test themselves with a rugged hike. Make sure you sign-up for the optional Antelope Canyon tour - it will be something you will remember forever!
The group we were a part of consisted of 14 (max # on a tour) of couples (mostly) and several singles (who were traveling together). We were from around the US (6) Australia (5) , New Zealand (1), and Spain (2), and ranged in age from, I would say, late 20's to 70's (most in late 40's or early-mid 50's). We got the chance to engage and interact to various degrees with just about everyone during the course of the week, and EVERYONE was great! We hope to stay in contact with as many as possible. (The camping version of this tour - which mirrored our itinerary and with which we occasionally joined up for an occasional dinner here and attraction there - had, not surprisingly, a younger crowd and appeared to consist of more singles.)
The travel van in which we were transported throughout the week was a 2019 model, clean and pretty comfortable, even during the two days in which we did spend more than a 2 or 3 hours between destinations. The hotels were all nice - not 5-star - but perfectly comfortable, clean accommodations (maybe there was one-night stay at a hotel that could be upgraded, but not worth mentioning further).
I haven't mentioned our guide till now because I wanted to save that for last. Joel C was all you could want in a tour guide. He is knowledgeable, an excellent communicator and story-teller, and has a great way of keeping the group together while letting you all go your separate ways. He suggested a few optional activities along the way that added greatly to the adventure (be sure, if you can, to have the sunset picnic dinner at Dead Horse Canyon - you will remember it). Joel knew the itinerary well, and understood where a change (e.g., more or less time) could be made here or there, without disrupting the overall tour itinerary. I would definitely recommend trying to sign-up for one of his tours if that is possible.
Thanks Joel for a wonderful experience. I have already recommended you to at least a dozen family and friends. All the best!
This tour is great! Marie was a fabulous tour guide. Everything was very organized and smooth. Food was good, lodging was good, parks were amazing - I totally recommend. It was a good value as well. I think they under promised and over delivered and that is my highest compliment (to get MORE than I hoped). We traveled September 30-October 2 and the weather was ideal. Chilly at night and mornings but perfect in the parks. You MUST do Antelope Canyon add on. Will use this company again. And I will always request Marie.
Had an awesome experience doing the 7 days national parks with a super guide Chris.
We got to see the highlights of the southwest. The tour is well planned and the guide is very knowledgeable. The camping were comfortable, not all have electricity, take two powerbanks with you to keep your phone charged.
I have had the time of my life. It has been an amazing experience. I can't say how much I enjoyed it. Landscapes in the National Parks are breathtaking.
I joined to the tour on my own but I met marvelous travel companions. I have to give a very special mention for Chris (travel guide and driver). He made the difference of the tour. He is really professional and loves his work. All decisions he makes are for customers can take the most of the tour. He is wise, sensible, sensitive and really fun person!
I will have these memories in my heart and mind all my life.
This tour is really a good value for money. If by the way you are looking for a trip around Utah and Arizona, please don't hesitate to join this tour. You will have a terrific time without doubt!
Heaps of fun and epic sights!
Beautiful scenery and fantastic guide equals amazing time! In Zion they give you free reign to walk wherever you want. Angels landing was the highlight! But me and my friend ran a little late to meet back at the hotel so Joel picked us up from the park instead and didn't make us feel stink about running late.
Bryce Canyon was awesome and finished even better with Joel taking us to a sunset view over Canyonlands with a surprise birthday cake for someone in our party and then read some related prose from his favorite book as the sun went down, it was crazy magical!
On the long drive to Moab, Joel imparted all his knowledge of the land the history and the people, if he didn't know the answer he said he would get back to us, he was really interested in everything about the place which made us very interested in it too!
The next highlight was the Navajo tacos which we ate at sunset in monument Valley it was so delicious!
Antelope Canyon is really crowded but you should definitely do it because it's worth the crowds!
The lunches were yum DIY sandwiches and since we had extra money left over at the end he took us out for burgers!
Since our group was a mix of ages he also offered an optional morning hike that he hadn't been on for a while, which was really nice of him and a cool hike.
I don't really go on guided tours, i normally like to go at my own pace but i wanted to travel with my friend who'd booked this already. After this I can see the value in it, Joel set a fun, kinda personalized yet organised tone for the whole trip and we felt taken care of and treated special. This review is more about Joel than the sights haha! The leader can make or break an already good holiday, he made it!
THANKS JOOOOOEL!! XD
Best 7 day Southwest tour.
My friend and I join the 7-Day Southwest tour and our tour guide, Joel Clark is the best!!!
I've been on many different tours in the past, but no other guide has been as informative, caring and personable as him!
He bought cake for everyone because it was someone's birthday, and he read us poetry from books he liked as the sun went down.
He took us on an extra walk in one of the mornings that wasn't on the itinerary, which was nice!
And there was a time when we were a little late at the pickup point, Joel picked us up from the park rather than the hotel, but he didn't make us feel bad!
He provided alot of personal touches on this tour which was a real highlight! A great guide like him makes all the difference!
We had the best week!
We chose the 7-day southwest tour that goes through all major national parks and canyons in the USA and we have been loving our experience. The tour was nicely organised and allowed us to see a lot of beautiful sights in a short period of time. Our guide Joel was amazing. So knowledgeable on the American Southwest history and an awesome person to chat with. The tents were great and super easy to put up and down, even for novices like us. Would book this tour again in a heartbeat.
The 7 day Southwest camping trip was fantastic. Our group of fourteen, evenly split between campers and lodgers ranging in age from 20’s to 60’s, was a wonderful, unforgettable adventure. As a first time camper - as were most - being the oldest and traveling solo, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I found was this;
An extraordinarily well planned itinerary to unimaginably spectacular places; a tour guide - Evan - who was tremendously kind, fun, helpful, knowledgeable and gave 110% every day; a great group of people from around the world, who bonded immediately and felt like family after 24 hours; guided hikes, stargazing, a waterfalls swim in an idyllic setting, the awesomeness of nature and fellow travelers who have become friends. I’ll never forget it
Best way to see a lot in a little amount of time
This tour company had come highly recommended by a family member, so when I was looking for a way to see the National Parks out in Utah and Arizona, I knew exactly who to book through. They picked us up right in downtown Vegas and provided transportation, camping gear, and food throughout the entire trip. Not having to plan anything out and being able to just go with the flow of the tour was perfect.
Each park was visited for about 2-2 1/2 hours, which was the perfect amount of time for all of the, except Zion. If you're looking to really explore Zion National Park I recommend either going prior or following the trip. It was just enough time to do a quick hike, but not enough time to really see what Zion is famous for (Angel's Landing, Narrows, etc).
As mentioned, every other park (Bryce, Antelope, Monument, Grand Canyon) had the perfect amount of time at each. Prior to arrival at each location, the guide reviewed a map with us and hiking routes we could choose from so we could get right to it as soon as we parked.
Each stop was impressive and stunningly beautiful, but our favorite was the portion of the trip where we visited Monument Valley. This was not just any visit, we were given a tour by the some Navajo residents as well as camped out directly facing the 3 major formations that are the set to so many movies/western shows. It was absolutely breathtaking to wake up to the sunrise over that panorama.
If you're looking to see a lot in a few days, this is the perfect trip. I 10/10 will be using this tour company for other adventures in the future!
All the personnel from the company were brilliant. From the beginning of my booking when calling at the office repeatedly to ask questions up till the last day of the tour, the company always strive to assist me wherever possible. All requested details were provided to me at the earliest. Even when my first payment didn’t go through, they did not simply cancel and keep the booking amount but reminded me promptly about the payment. And after receiving the final payment, the tour company was equally receptive. The tour guide (Evan Dilauro) was very helpful and hardworking throughout the whole tour. He was able to manage the needs of the group and the individual very effectively. The planning and execution of the tour itself was good and made better by the fact that the whole group became very close during the whole experience. Would surely take one of the other experiences offered by this company the next time i visit the country.
My seven day National Park Tour
This was my second time visiting a national park . My first visit was in May 2019 and I went to Arches National Park. I had the time of my life and my tour guide Evan went beyond to make sure everyone had his attention. My guide was very knowledgeable and did his best to answer all questions asked. I opted to do the camping instead of lodging and it was very good sleeping out under the stars and the interacting with the other campers .if you are planning to take this adventure I would recommend that you get yourself in some modest physical shape because you are doing a lot of walking and the fitters you are you certainly would get the most out of the experience. Overall I would recommend this seven day adventure.
The only way to visit the SW parks!
We took a May tour of the Grand Canyon and other area parks with this tour company. I am continually recommending this tour to all of our friends. We saw everything we wanted to see at a very affordable rate. the motels they selected were all clean and comfortable. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and personable. It is a very active tour so be prepared to keep busy. I especially enjoyed the private tour on the Navajo reservation and the dinner that followed at a Navajo home. If you are going to visit the area, use this company. It is far superior to trying drive and plan a trip for yourself.
Best 7-Day Grand canyon tour ever
Our 7-Day lodging Grand Canyon tour was fantastic. We were able to see a lot of beautiful scenery in a short amount of time without feeling rushed. Our tour guide, Evan, could not have been any better. he was very knowledgeable, fun, thoughtful and made everyone in the group feel comfortable. He was especially accommodating to my 80 year old mother by offering alternatives to some of the more difficult activities. I would recommend this tour to anyone!
Such a great experience!
Such a great and beautiful trip. We had a great time. Everyday was pack of activities and amazing landscapes. The overall tour was very well organised and our guide was great fun and was always very helpful
WOW!!! Amazing tour!!!
I had a great week, the tour was over my expectations!
Chris, our guide, is a professional and fun person, he drove us in the gorgeous west!
He was punctual, always present and helped us to have always the best. With him we were always on time and we visited all places in best way possible, with right times to visit and to rest.
You don't be wary for the long time on the ways with the bus, it's no wearisome, it's funny and you can see incredible different panoramas and you would never sleep in the bus! You will not never tired to stay in the bus, there are a lot of stops and places to visit in the way!
Camping is funny, we had always a wide choice of food for every meal. The guide Chris looked always our preference in food.
The group make the difference, I was lucky to find beautiful friends come from over the world!
I really suggest you to go!
Booked the 7 day South West National Parks Camping Tour and it's the best I have ever done. Sleeping under canvas in these amazing landscapes by night and hiking through them by day was an unforgettable experience, and Bradley our tour guide was super organised, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the geology and history of the places we visited, and was an amazing cook too - so much healthy, nutritious food! Wishing I could do the whole thing all over again - I never expected the desert to be so beautiful. Thank you for such an amazing experience!
Great small group tour company
Travelled on the 7 day SW National Parks lodging tour AND the 7 day Yellowstone Camping tour Both had fantastic well thought out itineraries which allowed us to choose the hikes that we wanted and pack in as much as we could in those 7 days. Also the tour leaders (Marie and Chris) were great and added to the enjoyment of the tour in their own unique ways. Highly recommended
I was appehensive while booking this tour, but it exceeded all my expectations.Everything was well organised and our tour guide was simply amazing.Camping , hiking and staying right inside National Parks was an overwhelming experience.Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the National Parks in this region.
"Hats Off To An Extraordinary Journey"
We are proud Americans yet spend most of our adventures where we stretch the imagination of climbing mountains and wilderness trails to places like the Black Forrest, Komodo island and other far and away places. Five star hotels and ships even submarines!! But we came across this tour and gave it a try and can say that we have now experienced the best!! We loved seeing these parks for the first time! Its like we boarded new heights of adventure engaging a greater enthusiasm within America! We are certain that we will certainly withstand the challenges that seem to be pushing apart the freedoms that gave life to our country! Our guide Alex was extraordinary! We will never be able to thank him enough for the many ways he inspired us, the oldest of the travelers and only Americans in the group, we reached new horizons of travel-success! We will remain energized for years to come! Thanks to all of you!
Where and how to start my review?? hmmm, May be the words, great, fantastic, worth it, lovely, breathtaking and joyful are enough or maybe not. Anyways, Yes, sure I recommend the tour to everyone, we experienced unplanned excellent true four seasons in 7 days, we experienced the beauty of nature, people and gained lots of knowledge. I recommend, traveling May/End of June, the weather is lovely and not hot (I don't like very hot weather but sure it's up to you to travel any time you wish ). Food was fine, covered three meals, was enough for all, the trip/Van was comfortable. Joel (I hope I spelled your name right) was so informative, full of history and poems, and sure helpful- Thank you Joel. our group was lovely – nice meeting you guys. The tents were big and clean, camps were in great locations, shower facilities very good, just bring your own toiletry bag and towels of course, slippers and walking shoes, or good shoes for hiking, plenty of sun block if you are going in summer and don't worry about your coffee, tea or snacks- you will have plenty of stops while moving from locations to another, taste all kinds of coffee and tea flavors. I think I shall stop here, enjoy your Trip
I booked 7-days south west national parks camping tour and had a great time. Our tour guide Joel is awesome. Although we got tough weather conditions, he made sure we still could enjoyed the trip to the most. Not only sharing great stories about where we went to but also all poems he read during sunset and campfire were really touching. We got lucky with our group of 13 amazing people from all over the world. I miss our time together as a family. And national parks are wonderful. Highly recommend this tour !
I signed up my visiting parents to the 7-day National Park tour and they truly enjoyed it. They spoke very little English but the guide was really patient with them. The itinerary design was perfect. My parents didn't feel like they were rushed or having wasted time anywhere, unlike some other guided tours that they joined before. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
This tour was wonderful and it was because of the tour guide. Jon knew so much and loved to share it. He was a wealth of information and life experiences. If I ever go on another tour with this tour company, he has to be my guide.
My husband and I joined the 7 day national parks tour from Las Vegas to Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon and Horse shoe Bend from Las Vegas. We are a well traveled couple from New Zealand and this was by far the best tour that we have ever been on. Well organized form start to finish. we opted for the hotel version and the hotels were great. The parks were amazing but it was our guide that really made the tour- well traveled. outstanding area knowledge, friendly, entertaining and professional. Our groups was a made of 14 guests from around the world- we shared so many amazing experiences and laughs together - memories for life. The tour company staff were so quick to answer all of our questions before the tour, we received weather updates a few days before departure, packing reminders and every time we spoke to the office staff they shared in our excitement at our up coming tour. We will definitely be traveling with you again! THANK YOU!
7-day Southwest Tour (from Las Vegas)
Had a wonderful time! Toured Zion, Bryce, Monument Valley, Arches, Canyon lands, Antelope Canyon, Dead horse, Horseshoe Bend, and the Grand Canyon. Evan (our tour leader) was outstanding. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He provided us with a lot of great information about each park including the geology, the history, the flora and fauna, etc. Evan worked really hard to make sure each of us was safe, happy, and having a great time. He succeeded. This was one of the best vacations we ever had and this was due in large part to Evan.
Enough time of hiking each day to see National Parks. Our guide Chris was very helpful and experienced, organized well and tried every effort to accommodate each one's need. Food was good, we were fed well. We had a fantastic time and memory. Scenery is terrific
Absolutely amazing!!! I've always wanted to visit the canyons but I wanted to do that with a tour company because neither my husband nor I didn't€™t want to go through the hassle of planning everything out, figuring out park entry passes and vehicle regulations, getting from one park to the other, etc....
We came across this company and decided to go with them based on all the wonderful reviews...
We could not be any happier with and thankful for the experience!!! Our tour guide was Chris (Chrispy Patty) and he was absolutely amazing!!! He was super professional, patient, knowledgeable, and did the best he could to give us the the time of our lives! He really cared and wanted us to have an unforgettable experience. We cannot say enough great things about him! We really hope to go on another tour and We would absolutely love to have Chris as our guide again!
"Wonderful National Parks Tour from Las Vegas". I was looking for doing camping in the national parks, and this seemed the best option traveling alone, and it was. Probably one of the best experiences in my life. First of all I have to say thank to Bradley, the best guide ever, really, he is funny, he knows a lot of stuff, he was organized in his way (I liked it), etc...Then I had the honor to spend a week with many lovely people from all around the world, and some of us are are still in contact. Talking about the tour, is really well made. The planning of this one is perfect, it includes all the parks in this area, and we spent quality time in all of them. The campsites were all really beautiful, my favorite was the night in Monument Valley, what a view.
Absolutely fantastic tour cannot recommend highly enough. Our guide Chris Patrick was very knowledgeable, had great organization skills and provided good food, he was very flexible in meeting everyone's needs. The tour Was small, just 14 people with a wide mix of nationalities and ages which worked well. Thanks for a great week
Perfect Trip to see the National Parks. This trip was fantastic. Our guide Joel was beyond my expectations. He was so knowledgeable about all the places we visited. There are only 14 people on the tour instead of a bus load. The price was fair, the lodges were nice and clean. I can't say enough good things about Joel. He food shopped for us and always got the best stuff for us to eat, veggies, fruits, great healthy snacks. This was my favorite trip of the year!
Great Tour and Memories. This tour exceeded our expectations. Our knowledgeable guide took us to the best places for terrific views as well as suggested the best hikes. His expertise of the terrain, flora and fauna as well as the native people of this region added immeasurably to our experience. The lodgings were clean, comfortable and our bags were placed in our rooms by our guide, Joel. Joel's enthusiasm and desire to deliver a first class experience was greatly appreciated.
Don't Miss It. This 7-day National Parks Tour is DIFFERENT and WONDERFUL. Instead of a 40 seat cruiser, you find yourself with 13 other travelers in a tight but camaraderie-inducing van. Trip experiences and life stories are easily shared. Friendships are created on the spot. The itinerary is hectic and many of the hiking trails have steep ascents and descents. So you need to be in good/very good shape to take full advantage of the various sites. Finally, a big Thank You to our tour guide/driver Alex Rosema who provided invaluable historic, cultural and geological info throughout the journey.
National Parks Splendor. Just returned from 7 days camping trip through the National Parks. The pace and the variety of hiking adventures were perfect and the camping experience better than anticipated. Our guide, the Real Chris Patrick was extremely accommodating and anticipated everyone's needs. He kept us on pace to maximize our time in each location. He was knowledgeable, fun and extremely organized. Our group was International which was a bonus and added to our amazing time. Each park offered a different challenge and the scenery was spectacular. I would highly recommend this trip to ACTIVE travelers. Thank you for everything!
The 7 day Grand Canyon Tour from Las Vegas was the BEST!
I just returned from the tour of the Canyons led by Alex. He was awesome, gave tremendous amounts of information on geology, history, wildlife, and anecdotes of all that we were seeing, and took good care of us. We had generous time to hike each day, with options for long or short hikes, depending on each person's proclivities, plus an amazing hummer ride in Moab, Navaho jeep tour of Monument Valley, stupendous helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, stunning tour of Antelope Canyon. We were awed every day, and made new friends with our fellow travelers from around the world. Great small group tour for singles and couples alike. I highly recommend this tour.
My husband and I have just done the 7 day National Parks tour with Bindlestiff. Our guide, the Real Chris Patrick aka Forrest Gump was fantastic. He ensured everyone's needs were met, a great time was had and got us to all destinations safely. The parks were amazing, fabulous scenery. We are in our early sixties and found the camping option was comfortable. We highly recommend this tour.
Big thanks particularly to tour leader Evan, for a truly amazing week. The whole experience was excellent right from first contact - Becky in reservations makes inquiries / bookings a breeze.
On the last day of the trip Evan asked the group about our top three highlights of the week and I couldn't give him an answer - it was impossible to narrow it down since I absolutely relished everything about the trip.
The landscapes were awesome, magnificent, magical, breathtaking. Every single one of them was a highlight for me and I'd happily return and spend a week or more in each. With every place we visited I kept thinking, "this must be the peak, it can't get better than this¦ and yet they just kept on coming - high after high.
The itinerary and pace of the trip were spot-on. It was a full-on pace and for sure I'd love to have more time in each location on another occasion, but as an introduction to the area it was perfect.
I loved that we got to see and experience so much - in fact we packed so much in that after just 24/48 hours on the road we all felt like we'd been traveling for a week or two already. Yet the way it was all put together meant that it never felt like *too* much - just an ongoing, sustained high of wondrous experiences!
The organization and scheduling felt seamless and seemed to flow effortlessly (though I have no doubt that a huge amount of effort is required from Evan and the team to make it feel that way!).
I loved the camping - great kit and all organized/set up to be super-easy and comfortable. And that campground vista in Monument Valley - woah
The group energy was a beautiful thing too and really contributed to the joy of the week.
I have no doubt that Evan's energy/personality had much to do with that in terms of setting an overall note for us all to harmonize around!
There's only one problem¦ coming back to modern life, walls, computers - hmm, tricky.
I just want to do a Cheryl Strayed now and take to the wild.
Thanks SO much to these folks. I've already passed their details on to three other people interested in doing the trip.
This trip was an amazing experience! Holidays to remember for lifetime! Normally I am not taking tours like that but this time was no regret at all!! I couldn't organize this any better! Thank you Joel Clark for being such a great Tour Guide/Driver ! We couldn't get any better then you! In such a short period of time (7days) we saw more then we expected! Tour was very informative, some history, some geology, some poems, some jokes, lots of laugh. During this 7 days our group (13 ppl) become little Family from different part of the world. Before entering to every single park we got maps with trials what we might be wanted to do, if anybody has any question about any of the hikes Jo was happy to give us answers or suggest something more interesting. Food - i was so impressed! Such a great week of healthy eating and i am not joking now! Great BBQ as well!! Amazing experience was sunrise over Monument Valley and Sunrise over Grand Canyon in one day ! My friend and I didn't plan to do helicopter ride over Grand Canyon but after all the stories that we heard from Joel we give it a try and guess what - no regrets here ! Fabulous experience, breathtaking! This was my very first camping ever and I am so happy I did it! So if you afraid of going for camping - DONT! They will take excellent care about everything. Ah - no worries - there is lots of toilets and shower facilities as well plus some of campground really have swimming pools and Jacuzzi! Plus there is a lots of points with drinking water! Highly recommended if you are looking for something better then just beach holidays! You are choosing your own way of activities in parks (except Monument Valley where you will board 4x4 jeep ride). Amazing time, amazing memories, amazing people, just perfect week!! My friend and I already planning next tour to Canadian Rockies next year! So.... see you soon !!
This was my first time traveling solo and I was a bit reluctant at the beginning. But once you meet the group and our tour guide Chris, you are feeling welcome from the very first minute. You got to experience the best spot of each locations thanks to the really well planned tour so you don't feel you are missing anything. I am a real hiker and the only thing I would like to have is a bit more of intense hike (the longest one we did was at Bryce Canyon about 2 hours long). But that is because we had to travel long distance to cover as much as possible sports. But I will definitely repeat again!
Never Disappointed. I did the 7 day Southwest and 7 day Yellowstone following. Could never have seen what I did any other way. Camping equipment was in great condition. Food was great. Really good value for money. Options to do your own exploring. Can not recommend highly enough. Big thanks to Chris Patrick, awesome guide, great fun,it was true meaning of a holiday
LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE!
It was a great 7 days tour with Bradley as our guide! Brad was great! he is so helpful and making sure each enjoyed the most of the trip :) all the destinations were a WOW for me, all are in my bucket list and can't believe I could visit them all in one go! Make sure you drink A LOT of water! but Brad always made sure we have enough water whenever we reach each stop, and he would prepare enough ICE and WATER in our van :)) the campsites were all GOOD! with toilets and showers, the monument valley campsite was definite the best campsite ever with that VIEWWW~ and I got to meet so many nice people around the world in my tour, we got to hike together in early morning, setting up camps and eat together in amazing places... definitely a MUST DO if you would like to experience Utah! thank you Brad!
Fantastic immersive experience!
I highly recommend this tour. My 11 year old son and I both had a fantastic time. Our tour guide Bradley was helpful, caring, full of fun facts and a blast. The National Parks were stunning and we saw and experienced beauty and magic everywhere. Zion, Arches, Bryce Canyon, The Canyonlands, Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon and Grand Canyon all went beyond our expectations. Great group of people..international ...lots of fun ! Expect high temperatures if you go in August. We cover a lot so do expect early morning risings and travel in the van but its very worth it to see and hike and experience all we did~! The Hummer tour was an unexpected blast for us in Moab as well. Food was good given we were camping and sometimes extra treats and surprises. I would do it again in a heartbeat~ We didnt want the trip to end.
Fabulous For Families With Teens!
This trip was a fabulous experience for both my son and me. We saw just about everything we would want to see in the Southwest in one week but despite the quick pace we never felt rushed. The hiking was truly memorable and the parks were stunning. Our wonderful guide, Jon Maret, was knowledgeable, funny and relaxed. He was extremely kind to my 15 year-old son and helped him with a photography project. In addition to all of Jons amusing stories about the region, I particularly enjoyed visiting the Navajo Nation and joining a local family for dinner. I'm a 56 year old woman who has never traveled as part of a tour, nor camped out. Needless to say, I was a little apprehensive about both of these things. Much to my delight, our group of 14 got along very well and camping was fun and easy. Several of the campgrounds we stayed in were lovely. The food was filling and tasty quite an accomplishment considering Jon was cooking for 14 on a camp stove! For the price, this tour was a great value. My son is already looking forward to next summer when we'd like to visit the Rockies with this company!
This 7 day trip from Vegas through all those National Parks and Monuments in the Southwest was amazing. Our guide Jon was very knowledgeable about the area as he did wilderness trips in the area before becoming a tour guide.
The drives through this incredible scenery never felt long and the trip despite being only 7 days long didn't feel rushed at all (but not saying you couldn't spend months in this area).
I definitely enjoyed every bit of this trip: our diverse group, the peaceful campsites and camping-spirit, the early rising for amazing hikes, the things learned and the passion shown from our tour guide, and of course the incredible places visited.
This was definitely my 1 year US highlight so far and I am looking forward for other tours 110% recommendation!

From the time we first contacted Rachel, right through to the very end of our trip, we had such a personal, professional, friendly, informative and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Rachel customized this tour based on what we wanted to see but made very valuable suggestions re the split between camping and hotel options and the timing of the activities and sights we saw on the trip. The end result was one of the most amazing touring experiences our family (incl. kids aged 9 & 10) have ever had.
We enjoyed commentary of the areas we drove through, several stops off the beaten path that we'd never have found or known about without Rachel's insight and even road games with the kids as well as Smores by the campfire, which the kids loved.. Rachel's thoughtful attention to detail in picking up passing comments and turning them into further opportunities to enhance our holiday experience added another personal touch that we really appreciated. An example of this was Rachel observing our interest in the 4th July decorations ready for the celebrations the next day. A couple of phone calls later and we were able to stay on in Page, Arizona to join in the fun.
The tour vehicle was roomy, comfortable and clean and the hotels we stayed at were all lovely, well located with full amenities including a pool.
A few of our many memorable highlights on this tour include Rachel securing a prime camp spot for our stay in Monument Valley, right in front of the monuments where we were able to see the sunrise with unimpeded views, swimming in Lake Powell, guided Navajo tour through Antelope Canyon, hiking below the rim into the Grand Canyon, a horse trail ride down into the floor of Bryce Canyon, visiting Horseshoe Bend and the kids completing their Junior Ranger Programs in Bryce and Grand Canyon National Parks.
Rachel's knowledge of the South-West is immense and it's easy to see she thoroughly enjoys what she does. So proactive and enthusiastic, her energy was infectious making us eager to try things we might not have thought of. We would thoroughly recommend these Tours if you're considering venturing to this part of the USA.
The 7 day SW camping tour was amazing, well-planned! The guide Mike was thoughtful, efficient, flexible, friendly and an excellent planner. My teenage son and I tremendously enjoyed the tour he lead. The scenery of every place we visited was overwhelming, beautiful and majestic. Bring good hiking boots (lots of hiking), water shoes, a hat with a string (wind from the cliff/canyons can blow away your hat), swimwear and some clothe pins. Pack light. Getting to know other passengers was another special part of the trip. I made good friends. It was the most memorable 7 days of my life. Thank you!! July -18
My wife and I took the 7 day tour southwest tour. The trip was amazing. Our guide Mike was fantastic from the history of the parks and local culture, He was incredibly knowledgeable. He also took time to make sure everyone was having a great time and suggested thing to do based on activity levels of the group. The parks are amazing it is truly worth the visit to see these parks first hand. We were able to see all the highlights on the tour and more. My wife and I choose the lodging options hotels were clean nice and had pools to cool off after long days of hiking. Mike was an awesome guide and is a credit to this tour company I would recommend a tour by this company and hope in the future they have a glacier park tour.
We are very satisfied with this Company. I have been organizing private customized tours for groups of seniors (50 and above) in several countries (Europe, UK, Southeast Asia, United States) so I am experienced enough to compare tour operators and guides. I must say this Company is in my top 3 list in terms of service delivery for reasons stated below.
Summary of review:
• Driver/Guide (Jon - short for Jonathan Maret? if i remembered correctly) - 5 stars.
o Safe driving.
o Very informative in each place we visited.
o Very accommodating.
o Very helpful.
o Very Intelligent guy.
We are a group of 13 adults ( 2 between ages 25-30, 11 between ages 55 to 75) from the Philippines. For a tour involving national parks, we are not an easy group to handle due to the usual senior citizen concerns (i.e. mobility issues, heat concerns (we came from a country with too much sunlight (we do everything to avoid it lol) so desert heat is quite a concern ), health concern - requiring A LOT of comfort stops). Since it has been THE DREAM of the group to see US' world renowned National Parks, finding a tour operator that can cater the group's concerns is a must.
Planning and organization
As the head of the group, I liaised with several tour operators in California and Nevada and compare service offers and quotes. Among the proposals I received, this is the most reasonable and flexible. Becky (the person in charge) was quick ( like VERY QUICK – which is a good thing) to exchange emails from planning the routes to recommending hotels. (we booked our own hotels but Becky did a helpful job in giving suggestions on which ones to cancel and change). Becky was very responsive in ensuring my concerns were answered. (i.e. vehicle type, luggage space, change of price - there were supposedly 18 of us, however, we had to cancel 5 due to Visa concerns). Kudos to Becky for excellent customer service.
There was a lot to see with our itinerary and I have to give all the credit to JON. In each destination, he had a lot of inputs as to the history and in-depth views of the national parks and even each town we passed by. This guy is intelligent. He can easily talk about sports, politics and practically anything. Plus, he has great sense of humor. He was quick to adapt to the group. He changed the route to make sure that the hikes were short. He also made a lot of comfort stops when he found out most of us use restrooms a lot. Lol
As our itinerary involves a lot of driving, I am very pleased with Jonas way of driving. He was always on the side of caution. I sat at the front passenger side so I can vouch his great driving skills. He was also very patient and accommodating of the request of each person in the group.
As someone who has been dealing with tour guides in different countries, Jon can easily make my top 3 list of effective, impeccable customer service and informative tour guides. I am actually inspired to try more outdoor hobbies.
Great thanks to this Company. Will definitely recommend this Company to our friends at this side of the planet.
This was really a great way to tour the major national parks of Utah. All of the driving and thinking was done for us. We had a nice campsite every night, and once we were there we were free to go out and do the length and level of hiking that we wanted. Joe, the guide/driver was great and kept us on schedule and moving place to place. We covered about 1600 miles during the 7 days, but the driving was broken up into manageable chunks. I was concerned about the availability of lodging and crowding in the parks, but we didn't have to think about any of that. Great time, great company. The only negative was the use of Ellis Island hotel as the starting point. The rooms were fine, but the lobby looks like a methadone clinic. Otherwise, everything was truly great!
7-Day Southwest Highlights National Parks
Hands down, that was absolutely my favorite tour!!! Jon went out of his way to accommodate not only me personally, but the entire group. On the day we had some extra time in Moab, I asked if there was any chance I would be able to go skydiving even though that wasn't an optional add on. (I figured if it wasn't my day, he would say no, but the universe decided that my first time skydiving was going to be in Moab!) Without hesitation, he agreed to drive me there if I could get it set up. While my stomach did somersaults, I thanked him over and over! I was not expecting him to say yes! On the last day of the tour, we had some extra time so he even made an extra stop at the Hoover Dam.
I was highly impressed by his thorough knowledge of all the areas we traveled to. Not only did he tell us the history and the facts, but he had a funny story for every location we visited! I began to wonder if there was anything he didn't know about. An in-depth experience of outdoor education and so much more. He knew the roads like the back of his hand and made every single transition seemless and effortless! He's incredibly organized and knows how make the most out of the tour. For those willing to get up early, he picked us up for 2 sunrises, one of which happened to be my favorite: The Angels Landing hike at Zion. I will never regret waking up at 4am for that day!!! Amazing....
I 100% would recommend this group, Jon specifically!! Definitely worth every penny!! So many laughs along the way and memories that will last a lifetime. If you are active and want to make the most of your time on the trip, he's your guy!!! The week went by way too fast and I can't wait to book my next tour with this company and hopefully upon request, get him as my guide.
Extremely pleased with the service. Many, many thanks!!!!
Our family enjoyed the tour. We actually managed to get our 8 & 10 year olds away from their screens & our hiking. I also loved that they had to help set up & take down camp. The scenery was spectacular and we learned a lot from our very knowledgeable tour leader.
The 7-day tour to the most amazing and impressive national parks and jewels of the Southwest was a great success. The duration of the tour allows a reasonably relaxed round trip with not too long daily drives and plenty of time for walks and hikes etc. The group size was in our case 11 people and was international and mixed with age. Thus, we had more than enough space in the minibus with 15 seats. The accommodations were all absolutely fine. The hotel check-in was always by Mike, our tour guide. Breakfast was included and a hot tub was always ready to relax the tired legs. We were twice surprised by bad weather (including blizzard!). Mike, the tour guide, has been quick to respond to the weather by spontaneous program changes and his vast knowledge of the area. In such moments, an organized tour pays off. You do not have to say much about the highlights of the tour - except that Mike chose the program suggestions in the individual parks (walks, viewpoints, exhibits etc.) very cleverly, optimizing our experience of the parks in the best possible way. So we had a really unforgettable tour! Highly recommended!
This was a perfect trip for our family (2 adults and 2 teens) and our guide, Mike, was great.
We met in Las Vegas and went onto Utah with stops at Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Arches before flying home out of SLC. That is a lot of ground to cover and we never could have done it on our own. 5 nights on the road, 3 different hotels (got great recommendations from the main office and booked them on our own - they also can arrange them for you if preferred), 5 parks, optional hummer tour in Moab, excellent hikes and stops at major vista points...
Mike was a conscientious driver and very entertaining tour guide (with all kinds of interesting stories and information). He took care of all the little details - made dinner reservations nightly on our behalf amidst a busy spring break timeframe, accomodated a variety of hiking skill levels in our group, set a clear schedule which allowed us to make the most of our time and made sure that we hit all the hot spots. What more can you ask for?
We also found the Customer Service office to be accomodating and responsive when we had to shift our previously booked tour by a couple of days to accomodate a late breaking schedule change on our end.
It was a most memorable and very well executed experience from start to finish.
An excellent active week covering all the wonderful locations in the vast canyons in Utah Nevada and Arizona. Top rate entertaining guide John , giving information advice added to a faultless informative week. Cannot rate it any higher and would/will recommend it to family and friends
Mike, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and well organized. Awesome highlights of all the parks. Took this trip with a friend in August, warm during the day but perfectly cool at night - would highly recommend.
In today's busy world it is always easy to complain, however, when a person goes out of their way and demonstrates a commitment to Superior Customer Service, it must not go unnoticed.
We had the pleasure of having your tour guide Joel Clark lead our hiking tour group last week. I must say that this company is very fortunate to have such an outstanding employee working for you. Joel was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. He went out of his way to ensure that our group had a memorable week together. His attitude shows that he truly enjoys his job!! This world needs more people like Joel who are passionate about their work. We were impressed with his knowledge of history, geology and Indian Culture. His organizational skills combined with his easy manner set our group at ease. Joel's musical talent and his wide range of music satisfied everyone's taste.
I thank you for your attention to this matter and ask that you recognize Joel Clark for the good work he is doing- believe me it is not going unnoticed.
We (couple) went on the 7 day camping tour - Southwest Highlights. Our tour guide Joel was very informative and answered every question we asked. He went out of his way to make the experience memorable. This tour is excellent value for anyone who enjoys getting into the great outdoors. The small group size (we had 13) means you get a feeling of a personal tour. 7 days flys by very quickly as the tour ensures you get to experience as much as the south west has to offer. Highlights: Antelope Canyon and sunrise at Monument Valley.
This 7 day trip (August 6th-13th) in the Southwest canyons was simply amazing. It was our first experience camping and it will definitely not be the last! The landscapes that surrounded us during our hikes were breathtaking. We often got to see the sun set behind the mountains, displaying a fantastic range of colors.
Among my numerous favorite moments: the time Joel -our guide- took us to Dead horse point where we watched the night fall from a ledge overlooking the vast landscape before us, while listening to him reading some extracts from one of his favorite books, capturing the quiet but captivating beauty of the desert.
Another highlight would be the hike in the middle of the hoodoos in Bryce canyon: the warm orange colors are really unique. But every other place was spectacular as well: admiring Zion canyon from a high viewpoint at Angel’s landing was totally worth the climbing! We also got to see a few massive arches in Canyonlands, not to mention the impressive landscape in Monument Valley. I especially appreciated the hospitality of the Navajo family who welcomed us into their home to enjoy a traditional taco, while learning more about their culture.
I would also recommend the optional activities: Antelope canyon is the ideal place to take artistic pictures; the Hummer tour is awesome for those who like the thrill of a bumpy ride and the helicopter tour allows you to fully realize and admire the majesty of the Grand Canyon.
I really want to thank Joel who turned this amazing trip into an unforgettable experience, with his usual good humor. He shared his passion for the desert and the canyons as well as his knowledge of the region in history and geology, which was much appreciated during the car rides. I particularly enjoyed the night when we sat around a campfire, listening to him singing old songs while playing the guitar…
Everyone in the group was very friendly and our week was full of memorable moments.
I would highly recommend this tour and I myself sincerely wish to discover another part of the US with this wonderful company!
Just completed the 7 day Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Grand Tetons. Beautiful parks; amazing wildlife. Mike Brown was our tour guide. We could not have seen as many sights going on our own. Mike is organized, experienced and thoughtful. He dropped us off at the top of Mammoth Springs and then picked us up at the lower parking lot so we didn't have to walk back up the big hill. When the weather turned rainy, Mike made an unscheduled stop at Walmart so we could buy ponchos. Instead of waiting in the long line to register for camp sites, he took us to another lake side scenic stop and then came back later to register. When we discovered we forgot our walking poles in the van after the tour was over, Mike personally dropped them off at our vacation house. Excellent service! Be prepared for long drives between stops, lots of hiking, and sleeping in tents for 5 nights. Memorable trip.
Had a stellar week on the 7 day Southwest Highlights Tour. Our group started out as strangers - a mix of couples, solo travellers, father and son & a uni student but we ended as friends at the end of the week. Our awesome guide Joel was relaxed, flexible, very knowledgeable of the history, geography, geology of all the places we visited and was super helpful in laying out all the options for the group on each day of the tour, to suit our capabilities, energy levels and requests of the trails some had researched beforehand (despite the 100+ Farenheit/40 Celsius days). Despite being a little anxious about the camping option (not having camped since high school), the tents were very spacious, the self-inflating sleeping mats they provided were comfortable - by the end of the week, I can say that I definitely know how to put up and take down a tent! The shower facilities were clean and adequate. The bus we drove around in was well air conditioned and comfortable. We were fed well to keep us energised for the day's activities. For breakfast a range of cereals, bagels, fruit & yoghurt. Lunch - cold meat sandwiches/wraps. Dinner - We had tacos, pasta and one night native Navajo tacos at a Navajo home which was a treat! The pace of the itinerary was comfortable, we didn't feel rushed at all - Joel took care of the timing and the logistics of everything! The 7 day tour enabled us to do the hikes, see the parks and enjoy it! The sunset dinner at Dead Horse Point was the highlight - with killer panoramic views, a great dinner and time to relax together as a group. I would definitely recommend this 7 day tour for those who want to see some of the Southwest, especially if you're a solo traveller (everything is taken care of) - it'll blow you away!
My wife and I went on the 7-day southwest national parks tour. We had a great time and love the tour. Every day we got to see a sight more amazing than the last. Our tour guide Mike Brown did an excellent job making sure we were well fed, well taken care of, and made it everywhere we were supposed to. It is worth noting that there is a lot of driving on the trip which is the price you pay for visiting so many places in such a short span of time. For those going on the trip, we would recommend the optional canyoneering. We went in early October which we thought was a great time to go because it wasn't so hot but it did get quite cold some nights.
If camping logistics and long driving is a nightmare for you, then you might as well consider this Tour. They specialize on the American Southwest - which I have not been to until last week. Our guide/driver for the 7-day camping trip was Mike, a well-traveled chap who knew a lot of stuff about Utah & Arizona. Trip organization was meticulous, tents were high-end, the van was clean & well-maintained, even the camp food was decent. But best of all, I got to experience a lot of great memories - one of which was tackling the formidable Angel's Landing in Zion National Park. I came on this trip alone but left with newfound friends! It is definitely worth booking a trip!
Together with a friend we made the tour for 7 days at Bryce, Zion, Canyonlands, Arches, Monument Valley, etc. To Grand Canyon. Punctuality and responsibility in all activities, beautiful places visited, the freedom to choose between different alternatives trekking according to the capacity of each person, very good meals, and Joel, extremely responsible guide providing entertaining stories when traveling in the van makes this tour something highly recommended. I totally recommend it.
I had a great time on the 7 day southwest national parks trip. Our tour guide was awesome, super knowledgeable and great fun and really made the trip. We fit so much in to the 7 days but it also felt like we had lots of time to explore each park. The campsites were great and the food was delicious - all made by fellow campers. I would highly recommend this trip
This 7 Day tour of National Parks is so well worth it. We went from Las Vegas and hiked, camped and photographed Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon. Best of all we didn't have to drive - thanks to Mike Brown as our tour leader - and he could advise on best hikes, good photo opportunities and how to set up our camp!
August is hot - mostly around 80F - (did we get to 127' F when we walked over the Hoover Dam road?) - but we also had cool nights and fantastic star filled skies.
Tents were easy to setup and take down with plenty of room - and two doors so you could set a door each for easy access. We cooked most of our evening meals - reasonable variety - and sampled excellent Navajo Tacos at Monument Valley.
Some early mornings to see the sunrise, or to get on a hike before it got hot, but plenty of time to catch up on rest in the van later on. Good sunsets over Arches, Canyonlands and Monument Valley.
If you want to see these National Parks and you're happy to camp, this is a brilliant way to go.
Thanks Mike - you did a brilliant job looking after us and giving us all the extra stories, history and ecology.
Very well organized. Our guide/driver Mike Brown was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. Highly recommend this trip, wish we would have done it sooner! Will certainly look at other tours in the future.
This tour was great. We got to see amazing national parks and had great food. We got amble amount of time to see the parks, and the camp sites are great. Mike brown was an amazing your guide and was knew everything about the parks and places we were driving too. Our food was great and the people I met on our tour were amazing. Not to mention the amazing national parks, unbeatable scenery especially in monument valley where your campsite is right next to the monument. Amazing sunrises and sunsets.
What an incredible experience" I was grateful to see so many amazing places in seven days camping trip. I was lucky to have time with people from UK, Germany, Washington D.C, Korea, NJ, Boston, and NY. We helped each other when setting up and putting down the tent, preparing meals, and encouraged each other when it was hard to hike up trails. First time experience of sleeping in a tent, traveling alone, taking a shower in 6 minutes in Moab, and getting up at 4:40 AM to see the sun rising. It was breath taking sceneries in every moment and I am glad to pick this tour. Justin, tour guide, went above and beyond to make this tour successful. I can't say thank him enough. I highly recommend this trip to everyone.
"I did the 7-day-tour SouthWest Highlights from 15 to 21 May 2016. It has been one of the best experiences of my life! I have seen otherworldly landscapes, met people from all over the world (8 nationalities represented), and taken part in activities I thought I would never do, like a Hummer tour or Canyoneering. As a funny anecdote, several trip mates and I were discussing which was our preferred moment of the whole week. And nobody was able to choose less than 5. Now going into the technical the absolute pros of this tour are the following:
1. Tour guides are very knowledgeable. Mine (Joel Clark) not only knew a whole lot about every place we were visiting, but he also played the guitar and read poems about the West. 2. It is a camping tour. Expect healthy people from ages 20 to 70, eager both to get up at 5AM to catch a sunrise and to stay late drinking around a campfire. 3. If you see the miles per day you will be doing in this tour, and you compare it to other companies such as TrekAmerica, Green Tortoise, Contiki... you realize mos of the time you will be IN THE PARKS, not in the van rushing from one place to another. I am very happy with the few time we spent driving!
I took the 7 day Southwest Campingtrip and without doubt I can say that I had the best week of my life. It was the mix (of age, culture, origin) that made our travel group so unique and thanks to our great tour guide Justin we became a little family in one week. Putting up tents together, cooking in a group and sharing unforgettable experience made the time in the group special. The scenery of the National Parks is breathtaking and the well organised structure of the tour gives as much time to explore the parks as possible without getting to stressful. Justin did everything in his power to make it an unforgettable trip and as he always said "we'll make it work" - he did!! I can highly recommend this tour. It is worth it every dollar.
This was 7 day/6 night camping trip to that took us from Zion Canyon, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument, Grand Canyon and a lot more. We had a tour guide that exceeded the expectations of every single person on the trip. His name was Justin. He knew so much and provided an amazing education of the natural beauty and geological characteristics of the land. And, he was a real nice guy. This trip was fantastic because of the camaraderie of the group fostered by Justin, a powerful combination. If you can, ask for Justin ,he'll make the trip over the top. Take this trip while you can
Tour was very well organized and planned everything in detail. Our guide, Justin, was a third-generation expedition leader and took care of us as if we were family. I cannot praise him enough. Our group of 13 campers included 4 Americans, several Brits, and a delightful mix of other foreign-born travelers. All were stronger hikers than us but we had a great time as well. This trip is great for active hikers looking to visit a lot of places in a short amount of time. We very much enjoyed the optional additional activities of the Hummer tour and the canyoneering outing as well--don't skip these!
I believe this may be the best trip I've had! My favorite parts were Zion, Bryce, and Arches National Park. I loved everyone in my group and Vern was an awesome tour leader! Great trip at a great price. I highly recommend it!
As a way to see several National Parks in south Utah - Arizona region, this was an excellent tour. Our tour leader, Vern, made every effort to make sure we did things that fit the weather, our level of hiking experience and tastes. The result was that we saw so many things in a relatively short time, had a lot of fun as a group, did many satisfying hikes and had enjoyable camping experiences. I couldn't recommend this tour group highly enough.
Spectacular scenery and fantastic hikes to beautiful locations. It's a great way to get a taste of some of our most unique and scenic parks. Our guide, Vern, was knowledgeable and fun-loving and it made this great trip even better!
Spectacular itinerary, perfectly laid out with the ideal arc to the experience, starting with more hiking at the beginning, then to leisurely strolls and group activities during second half of the week. It saves the best for last (Grand Canyon) but Bryce and Monument Valley (especially the latter) were unexpectedly astounding. Remarkable how much was packed into one week. The downside to that is that self pacing is required. Also be prepared to roll up your sleeves and work an hour or two each day on camp tasks like set up, breakdown, load and unload, cooking and cleaning. If you like camping and national parks, you will likely love this tour. Take the optional helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon, not cheap but definitely worth it.
