Enough time of hiking each day to see National Parks. Our guide Chris was very helpful and experienced, organized well and tried every effort to accommodate each one's need. Food was good, we were fed well. We had a fantastic time and memory. Scenery is terrific
Absolutely amazing!!! I've always wanted to visit the canyons but I wanted to do that with a tour company because neither my husband nor I didn't€™t want to go through the hassle of planning everything out, figuring out park entry passes and vehicle regulations, getting from one park to the other, etc....
We came across this company and decided to go with them based on all the wonderful reviews...
We could not be any happier with and thankful for the experience!!! Our tour guide was Chris (Chrispy Patty) and he was absolutely amazing!!! He was super professional, patient, knowledgeable, and did the best he could to give us the the time of our lives! He really cared and wanted us to have an unforgettable experience. We cannot say enough great things about him! We really hope to go on another tour and We would absolutely love to have Chris as our guide again!
"Wonderful National Parks Tour from Las Vegas". I was looking for doing camping in the national parks, and this seemed the best option traveling alone, and it was. Probably one of the best experiences in my life. First of all I have to say thank to Bradley, the best guide ever, really, he is funny, he knows a lot of stuff, he was organized in his way (I liked it), etc...Then I had the honor to spend a week with many lovely people from all around the world, and some of us are are still in contact. Talking about the tour, is really well made. The planning of this one is perfect, it includes all the parks in this area, and we spent quality time in all of them. The campsites were all really beautiful, my favorite was the night in Monument Valley, what a view.
Absolutely fantastic tour cannot recommend highly enough. Our guide Chris Patrick was very knowledgeable, had great organization skills and provided good food, he was very flexible in meeting everyone's needs. The tour Was small, just 14 people with a wide mix of nationalities and ages which worked well. Thanks for a great week
Perfect Trip to see the National Parks. This trip was fantastic. Our guide Joel was beyond my expectations. He was so knowledgeable about all the places we visited. There are only 14 people on the tour instead of a bus load. The price was fair, the lodges were nice and clean. I can't say enough good things about Joel. He food shopped for us and always got the best stuff for us to eat, veggies, fruits, great healthy snacks. This was my favorite trip of the year!
Great Tour and Memories. This tour exceeded our expectations. Our knowledgeable guide took us to the best places for terrific views as well as suggested the best hikes. His expertise of the terrain, flora and fauna as well as the native people of this region added immeasurably to our experience. The lodgings were clean, comfortable and our bags were placed in our rooms by our guide, Joel. Joel's enthusiasm and desire to deliver a first class experience was greatly appreciated.
Don't Miss It. This 7-day National Parks Tour is DIFFERENT and WONDERFUL. Instead of a 40 seat cruiser, you find yourself with 13 other travelers in a tight but camaraderie-inducing van. Trip experiences and life stories are easily shared. Friendships are created on the spot. The itinerary is hectic and many of the hiking trails have steep ascents and descents. So you need to be in good/very good shape to take full advantage of the various sites. Finally, a big Thank You to our tour guide/driver Alex Rosema who provided invaluable historic, cultural and geological info throughout the journey.
National Parks Splendor. Just returned from 7 days camping trip through the National Parks. The pace and the variety of hiking adventures were perfect and the camping experience better than anticipated. Our guide, the Real Chris Patrick was extremely accommodating and anticipated everyone's needs. He kept us on pace to maximize our time in each location. He was knowledgeable, fun and extremely organized. Our group was International which was a bonus and added to our amazing time. Each park offered a different challenge and the scenery was spectacular. I would highly recommend this trip to ACTIVE travelers. Thank you for everything!
The 7 day Grand Canyon Tour from Las Vegas was the BEST!
I just returned from the tour of the Canyons led by Alex. He was awesome, gave tremendous amounts of information on geology, history, wildlife, and anecdotes of all that we were seeing, and took good care of us. We had generous time to hike each day, with options for long or short hikes, depending on each person's proclivities, plus an amazing hummer ride in Moab, Navaho jeep tour of Monument Valley, stupendous helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, stunning tour of Antelope Canyon. We were awed every day, and made new friends with our fellow travelers from around the world. Great small group tour for singles and couples alike. I highly recommend this tour.
My husband and I have just done the 7 day National Parks tour with Bindlestiff. Our guide, the Real Chris Patrick aka Forrest Gump was fantastic. He ensured everyone's needs were met, a great time was had and got us to all destinations safely. The parks were amazing, fabulous scenery. We are in our early sixties and found the camping option was comfortable. We highly recommend this tour.
Big thanks particularly to tour leader Evan, for a truly amazing week. The whole experience was excellent right from first contact - Becky in reservations makes inquiries / bookings a breeze.
On the last day of the trip Evan asked the group about our top three highlights of the week and I couldn't give him an answer - it was impossible to narrow it down since I absolutely relished everything about the trip.
The landscapes were awesome, magnificent, magical, breathtaking. Every single one of them was a highlight for me and I'd happily return and spend a week or more in each. With every place we visited I kept thinking, "this must be the peak, it can't get better than this¦ and yet they just kept on coming - high after high.
The itinerary and pace of the trip were spot-on. It was a full-on pace and for sure I'd love to have more time in each location on another occasion, but as an introduction to the area it was perfect.
I loved that we got to see and experience so much - in fact we packed so much in that after just 24/48 hours on the road we all felt like we'd been traveling for a week or two already. Yet the way it was all put together meant that it never felt like *too* much - just an ongoing, sustained high of wondrous experiences!
The organization and scheduling felt seamless and seemed to flow effortlessly (though I have no doubt that a huge amount of effort is required from Evan and the team to make it feel that way!).
I loved the camping - great kit and all organized/set up to be super-easy and comfortable. And that campground vista in Monument Valley - woah
The group energy was a beautiful thing too and really contributed to the joy of the week.
I have no doubt that Evan's energy/personality had much to do with that in terms of setting an overall note for us all to harmonize around!
There's only one problem¦ coming back to modern life, walls, computers - hmm, tricky.
I just want to do a Cheryl Strayed now and take to the wild.
Thanks SO much to these folks. I've already passed their details on to three other people interested in doing the trip.
This trip was an amazing experience! Holidays to remember for lifetime! Normally I am not taking tours like that but this time was no regret at all!! I couldn't organize this any better! Thank you Joel Clark for being such a great Tour Guide/Driver ! We couldn't get any better then you! In such a short period of time (7days) we saw more then we expected! Tour was very informative, some history, some geology, some poems, some jokes, lots of laugh. During this 7 days our group (13 ppl) become little Family from different part of the world. Before entering to every single park we got maps with trials what we might be wanted to do, if anybody has any question about any of the hikes Jo was happy to give us answers or suggest something more interesting. Food - i was so impressed! Such a great week of healthy eating and i am not joking now! Great BBQ as well!! Amazing experience was sunrise over Monument Valley and Sunrise over Grand Canyon in one day ! My friend and I didn't plan to do helicopter ride over Grand Canyon but after all the stories that we heard from Joel we give it a try and guess what - no regrets here ! Fabulous experience, breathtaking! This was my very first camping ever and I am so happy I did it! So if you afraid of going for camping - DONT! They will take excellent care about everything. Ah - no worries - there is lots of toilets and shower facilities as well plus some of campground really have swimming pools and Jacuzzi! Plus there is a lots of points with drinking water! Highly recommended if you are looking for something better then just beach holidays! You are choosing your own way of activities in parks (except Monument Valley where you will board 4x4 jeep ride). Amazing time, amazing memories, amazing people, just perfect week!! My friend and I already planning next tour to Canadian Rockies next year! So.... see you soon !!
This was my first time traveling solo and I was a bit reluctant at the beginning. But once you meet the group and our tour guide Chris, you are feeling welcome from the very first minute. You got to experience the best spot of each locations thanks to the really well planned tour so you don't feel you are missing anything. I am a real hiker and the only thing I would like to have is a bit more of intense hike (the longest one we did was at Bryce Canyon about 2 hours long). But that is because we had to travel long distance to cover as much as possible sports. But I will definitely repeat again!
Never Disappointed. I did the 7 day Southwest and 7 day Yellowstone following. Could never have seen what I did any other way. Camping equipment was in great condition. Food was great. Really good value for money. Options to do your own exploring. Can not recommend highly enough. Big thanks to Chris Patrick, awesome guide, great fun,it was true meaning of a holiday
LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE!
It was a great 7 days tour with Bradley as our guide! Brad was great! he is so helpful and making sure each enjoyed the most of the trip :) all the destinations were a WOW for me, all are in my bucket list and can't believe I could visit them all in one go! Make sure you drink A LOT of water! but Brad always made sure we have enough water whenever we reach each stop, and he would prepare enough ICE and WATER in our van :)) the campsites were all GOOD! with toilets and showers, the monument valley campsite was definite the best campsite ever with that VIEWWW~ and I got to meet so many nice people around the world in my tour, we got to hike together in early morning, setting up camps and eat together in amazing places... definitely a MUST DO if you would like to experience Utah! thank you Brad!
Fantastic immersive experience!
I highly recommend this tour. My 11 year old son and I both had a fantastic time. Our tour guide Bradley was helpful, caring, full of fun facts and a blast. The National Parks were stunning and we saw and experienced beauty and magic everywhere. Zion, Arches, Bryce Canyon, The Canyonlands, Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon and Grand Canyon all went beyond our expectations. Great group of people..international ...lots of fun ! Expect high temperatures if you go in August. We cover a lot so do expect early morning risings and travel in the van but its very worth it to see and hike and experience all we did~! The Hummer tour was an unexpected blast for us in Moab as well. Food was good given we were camping and sometimes extra treats and surprises. I would do it again in a heartbeat~ We didnt want the trip to end.
Fabulous For Families With Teens!
This trip was a fabulous experience for both my son and me. We saw just about everything we would want to see in the Southwest in one week but despite the quick pace we never felt rushed. The hiking was truly memorable and the parks were stunning. Our wonderful guide, Jon Maret, was knowledgeable, funny and relaxed. He was extremely kind to my 15 year-old son and helped him with a photography project. In addition to all of Jons amusing stories about the region, I particularly enjoyed visiting the Navajo Nation and joining a local family for dinner. I'm a 56 year old woman who has never traveled as part of a tour, nor camped out. Needless to say, I was a little apprehensive about both of these things. Much to my delight, our group of 14 got along very well and camping was fun and easy. Several of the campgrounds we stayed in were lovely. The food was filling and tasty quite an accomplishment considering Jon was cooking for 14 on a camp stove! For the price, this tour was a great value. My son is already looking forward to next summer when we'd like to visit the Rockies with this company!
This 7 day trip from Vegas through all those National Parks and Monuments in the Southwest was amazing. Our guide Jon was very knowledgeable about the area as he did wilderness trips in the area before becoming a tour guide.
The drives through this incredible scenery never felt long and the trip despite being only 7 days long didn't feel rushed at all (but not saying you couldn't spend months in this area).
I definitely enjoyed every bit of this trip: our diverse group, the peaceful campsites and camping-spirit, the early rising for amazing hikes, the things learned and the passion shown from our tour guide, and of course the incredible places visited.
This was definitely my 1 year US highlight so far and I am looking forward for other tours 110% recommendation!

From the time we first contacted Rachel, right through to the very end of our trip, we had such a personal, professional, friendly, informative and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Rachel customized this tour based on what we wanted to see but made very valuable suggestions re the split between camping and hotel options and the timing of the activities and sights we saw on the trip. The end result was one of the most amazing touring experiences our family (incl. kids aged 9 & 10) have ever had.
We enjoyed commentary of the areas we drove through, several stops off the beaten path that we'd never have found or known about without Rachel's insight and even road games with the kids as well as Smores by the campfire, which the kids loved.. Rachel's thoughtful attention to detail in picking up passing comments and turning them into further opportunities to enhance our holiday experience added another personal touch that we really appreciated. An example of this was Rachel observing our interest in the 4th July decorations ready for the celebrations the next day. A couple of phone calls later and we were able to stay on in Page, Arizona to join in the fun.
The tour vehicle was roomy, comfortable and clean and the hotels we stayed at were all lovely, well located with full amenities including a pool.
A few of our many memorable highlights on this tour include Rachel securing a prime camp spot for our stay in Monument Valley, right in front of the monuments where we were able to see the sunrise with unimpeded views, swimming in Lake Powell, guided Navajo tour through Antelope Canyon, hiking below the rim into the Grand Canyon, a horse trail ride down into the floor of Bryce Canyon, visiting Horseshoe Bend and the kids completing their Junior Ranger Programs in Bryce and Grand Canyon National Parks.
Rachel's knowledge of the South-West is immense and it's easy to see she thoroughly enjoys what she does. So proactive and enthusiastic, her energy was infectious making us eager to try things we might not have thought of. We would thoroughly recommend these Tours if you're considering venturing to this part of the USA.
The 7 day SW camping tour was amazing, well-planned! The guide Mike was thoughtful, efficient, flexible, friendly and an excellent planner. My teenage son and I tremendously enjoyed the tour he lead. The scenery of every place we visited was overwhelming, beautiful and majestic. Bring good hiking boots (lots of hiking), water shoes, a hat with a string (wind from the cliff/canyons can blow away your hat), swimwear and some clothe pins. Pack light. Getting to know other passengers was another special part of the trip. I made good friends. It was the most memorable 7 days of my life. Thank you!! July -18
My wife and I took the 7 day tour southwest tour. The trip was amazing. Our guide Mike was fantastic from the history of the parks and local culture, He was incredibly knowledgeable. He also took time to make sure everyone was having a great time and suggested thing to do based on activity levels of the group. The parks are amazing it is truly worth the visit to see these parks first hand. We were able to see all the highlights on the tour and more. My wife and I choose the lodging options hotels were clean nice and had pools to cool off after long days of hiking. Mike was an awesome guide and is a credit to this tour company I would recommend a tour by this company and hope in the future they have a glacier park tour.
We are very satisfied with this Company. I have been organizing private customized tours for groups of seniors (50 and above) in several countries (Europe, UK, Southeast Asia, United States) so I am experienced enough to compare tour operators and guides. I must say this Company is in my top 3 list in terms of service delivery for reasons stated below.
Summary of review:
• Driver/Guide (Jon - short for Jonathan Maret? if i remembered correctly) - 5 stars.
o Safe driving.
o Very informative in each place we visited.
o Very accommodating.
o Very helpful.
o Very Intelligent guy.
We are a group of 13 adults ( 2 between ages 25-30, 11 between ages 55 to 75) from the Philippines. For a tour involving national parks, we are not an easy group to handle due to the usual senior citizen concerns (i.e. mobility issues, heat concerns (we came from a country with too much sunlight (we do everything to avoid it lol) so desert heat is quite a concern ), health concern - requiring A LOT of comfort stops). Since it has been THE DREAM of the group to see US' world renowned National Parks, finding a tour operator that can cater the group's concerns is a must.
Planning and organization
As the head of the group, I liaised with several tour operators in California and Nevada and compare service offers and quotes. Among the proposals I received, this is the most reasonable and flexible. Becky (the person in charge) was quick ( like VERY QUICK – which is a good thing) to exchange emails from planning the routes to recommending hotels. (we booked our own hotels but Becky did a helpful job in giving suggestions on which ones to cancel and change). Becky was very responsive in ensuring my concerns were answered. (i.e. vehicle type, luggage space, change of price - there were supposedly 18 of us, however, we had to cancel 5 due to Visa concerns). Kudos to Becky for excellent customer service.
There was a lot to see with our itinerary and I have to give all the credit to JON. In each destination, he had a lot of inputs as to the history and in-depth views of the national parks and even each town we passed by. This guy is intelligent. He can easily talk about sports, politics and practically anything. Plus, he has great sense of humor. He was quick to adapt to the group. He changed the route to make sure that the hikes were short. He also made a lot of comfort stops when he found out most of us use restrooms a lot. Lol
As our itinerary involves a lot of driving, I am very pleased with Jonas way of driving. He was always on the side of caution. I sat at the front passenger side so I can vouch his great driving skills. He was also very patient and accommodating of the request of each person in the group.
As someone who has been dealing with tour guides in different countries, Jon can easily make my top 3 list of effective, impeccable customer service and informative tour guides. I am actually inspired to try more outdoor hobbies.
Great thanks to this Company. Will definitely recommend this Company to our friends at this side of the planet.
This was really a great way to tour the major national parks of Utah. All of the driving and thinking was done for us. We had a nice campsite every night, and once we were there we were free to go out and do the length and level of hiking that we wanted. Joe, the guide/driver was great and kept us on schedule and moving place to place. We covered about 1600 miles during the 7 days, but the driving was broken up into manageable chunks. I was concerned about the availability of lodging and crowding in the parks, but we didn't have to think about any of that. Great time, great company. The only negative was the use of Ellis Island hotel as the starting point. The rooms were fine, but the lobby looks like a methadone clinic. Otherwise, everything was truly great!
7-Day Southwest Highlights National Parks
Hands down, that was absolutely my favorite tour!!! Jon went out of his way to accommodate not only me personally, but the entire group. On the day we had some extra time in Moab, I asked if there was any chance I would be able to go skydiving even though that wasn't an optional add on. (I figured if it wasn't my day, he would say no, but the universe decided that my first time skydiving was going to be in Moab!) Without hesitation, he agreed to drive me there if I could get it set up. While my stomach did somersaults, I thanked him over and over! I was not expecting him to say yes! On the last day of the tour, we had some extra time so he even made an extra stop at the Hoover Dam.
I was highly impressed by his thorough knowledge of all the areas we traveled to. Not only did he tell us the history and the facts, but he had a funny story for every location we visited! I began to wonder if there was anything he didn't know about. An in-depth experience of outdoor education and so much more. He knew the roads like the back of his hand and made every single transition seemless and effortless! He's incredibly organized and knows how make the most out of the tour. For those willing to get up early, he picked us up for 2 sunrises, one of which happened to be my favorite: The Angels Landing hike at Zion. I will never regret waking up at 4am for that day!!! Amazing....
I 100% would recommend this group, Jon specifically!! Definitely worth every penny!! So many laughs along the way and memories that will last a lifetime. If you are active and want to make the most of your time on the trip, he's your guy!!! The week went by way too fast and I can't wait to book my next tour with this company and hopefully upon request, get him as my guide.
Extremely pleased with the service. Many, many thanks!!!!
Our family enjoyed the tour. We actually managed to get our 8 & 10 year olds away from their screens & our hiking. I also loved that they had to help set up & take down camp. The scenery was spectacular and we learned a lot from our very knowledgeable tour leader.
The 7-day tour to the most amazing and impressive national parks and jewels of the Southwest was a great success. The duration of the tour allows a reasonably relaxed round trip with not too long daily drives and plenty of time for walks and hikes etc. The group size was in our case 11 people and was international and mixed with age. Thus, we had more than enough space in the minibus with 15 seats. The accommodations were all absolutely fine. The hotel check-in was always by Mike, our tour guide. Breakfast was included and a hot tub was always ready to relax the tired legs. We were twice surprised by bad weather (including blizzard!). Mike, the tour guide, has been quick to respond to the weather by spontaneous program changes and his vast knowledge of the area. In such moments, an organized tour pays off. You do not have to say much about the highlights of the tour - except that Mike chose the program suggestions in the individual parks (walks, viewpoints, exhibits etc.) very cleverly, optimizing our experience of the parks in the best possible way. So we had a really unforgettable tour! Highly recommended!
This was a perfect trip for our family (2 adults and 2 teens) and our guide, Mike, was great.
We met in Las Vegas and went onto Utah with stops at Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Arches before flying home out of SLC. That is a lot of ground to cover and we never could have done it on our own. 5 nights on the road, 3 different hotels (got great recommendations from the main office and booked them on our own - they also can arrange them for you if preferred), 5 parks, optional hummer tour in Moab, excellent hikes and stops at major vista points...
Mike was a conscientious driver and very entertaining tour guide (with all kinds of interesting stories and information). He took care of all the little details - made dinner reservations nightly on our behalf amidst a busy spring break timeframe, accomodated a variety of hiking skill levels in our group, set a clear schedule which allowed us to make the most of our time and made sure that we hit all the hot spots. What more can you ask for?
We also found the Customer Service office to be accomodating and responsive when we had to shift our previously booked tour by a couple of days to accomodate a late breaking schedule change on our end.
It was a most memorable and very well executed experience from start to finish.
An excellent active week covering all the wonderful locations in the vast canyons in Utah Nevada and Arizona. Top rate entertaining guide John , giving information advice added to a faultless informative week. Cannot rate it any higher and would/will recommend it to family and friends
Mike, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and well organized. Awesome highlights of all the parks. Took this trip with a friend in August, warm during the day but perfectly cool at night - would highly recommend.
In today's busy world it is always easy to complain, however, when a person goes out of their way and demonstrates a commitment to Superior Customer Service, it must not go unnoticed.
We had the pleasure of having your tour guide Joel Clark lead our hiking tour group last week. I must say that this company is very fortunate to have such an outstanding employee working for you. Joel was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. He went out of his way to ensure that our group had a memorable week together. His attitude shows that he truly enjoys his job!! This world needs more people like Joel who are passionate about their work. We were impressed with his knowledge of history, geology and Indian Culture. His organizational skills combined with his easy manner set our group at ease. Joel's musical talent and his wide range of music satisfied everyone's taste.
I thank you for your attention to this matter and ask that you recognize Joel Clark for the good work he is doing- believe me it is not going unnoticed.
We (couple) went on the 7 day camping tour - Southwest Highlights. Our tour guide Joel was very informative and answered every question we asked. He went out of his way to make the experience memorable. This tour is excellent value for anyone who enjoys getting into the great outdoors. The small group size (we had 13) means you get a feeling of a personal tour. 7 days flys by very quickly as the tour ensures you get to experience as much as the south west has to offer. Highlights: Antelope Canyon and sunrise at Monument Valley.
This 7 day trip (August 6th-13th) in the Southwest canyons was simply amazing. It was our first experience camping and it will definitely not be the last! The landscapes that surrounded us during our hikes were breathtaking. We often got to see the sun set behind the mountains, displaying a fantastic range of colors.
Among my numerous favorite moments: the time Joel -our guide- took us to Dead horse point where we watched the night fall from a ledge overlooking the vast landscape before us, while listening to him reading some extracts from one of his favorite books, capturing the quiet but captivating beauty of the desert.
Another highlight would be the hike in the middle of the hoodoos in Bryce canyon: the warm orange colors are really unique. But every other place was spectacular as well: admiring Zion canyon from a high viewpoint at Angel’s landing was totally worth the climbing! We also got to see a few massive arches in Canyonlands, not to mention the impressive landscape in Monument Valley. I especially appreciated the hospitality of the Navajo family who welcomed us into their home to enjoy a traditional taco, while learning more about their culture.
I would also recommend the optional activities: Antelope canyon is the ideal place to take artistic pictures; the Hummer tour is awesome for those who like the thrill of a bumpy ride and the helicopter tour allows you to fully realize and admire the majesty of the Grand Canyon.
I really want to thank Joel who turned this amazing trip into an unforgettable experience, with his usual good humor. He shared his passion for the desert and the canyons as well as his knowledge of the region in history and geology, which was much appreciated during the car rides. I particularly enjoyed the night when we sat around a campfire, listening to him singing old songs while playing the guitar…
Everyone in the group was very friendly and our week was full of memorable moments.
I would highly recommend this tour and I myself sincerely wish to discover another part of the US with this wonderful company!
Just completed the 7 day Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Grand Tetons. Beautiful parks; amazing wildlife. Mike Brown was our tour guide. We could not have seen as many sights going on our own. Mike is organized, experienced and thoughtful. He dropped us off at the top of Mammoth Springs and then picked us up at the lower parking lot so we didn't have to walk back up the big hill. When the weather turned rainy, Mike made an unscheduled stop at Walmart so we could buy ponchos. Instead of waiting in the long line to register for camp sites, he took us to another lake side scenic stop and then came back later to register. When we discovered we forgot our walking poles in the van after the tour was over, Mike personally dropped them off at our vacation house. Excellent service! Be prepared for long drives between stops, lots of hiking, and sleeping in tents for 5 nights. Memorable trip.
Had a stellar week on the 7 day Southwest Highlights Tour. Our group started out as strangers - a mix of couples, solo travellers, father and son & a uni student but we ended as friends at the end of the week. Our awesome guide Joel was relaxed, flexible, very knowledgeable of the history, geography, geology of all the places we visited and was super helpful in laying out all the options for the group on each day of the tour, to suit our capabilities, energy levels and requests of the trails some had researched beforehand (despite the 100+ Farenheit/40 Celsius days). Despite being a little anxious about the camping option (not having camped since high school), the tents were very spacious, the self-inflating sleeping mats they provided were comfortable - by the end of the week, I can say that I definitely know how to put up and take down a tent! The shower facilities were clean and adequate. The bus we drove around in was well air conditioned and comfortable. We were fed well to keep us energised for the day's activities. For breakfast a range of cereals, bagels, fruit & yoghurt. Lunch - cold meat sandwiches/wraps. Dinner - We had tacos, pasta and one night native Navajo tacos at a Navajo home which was a treat! The pace of the itinerary was comfortable, we didn't feel rushed at all - Joel took care of the timing and the logistics of everything! The 7 day tour enabled us to do the hikes, see the parks and enjoy it! The sunset dinner at Dead Horse Point was the highlight - with killer panoramic views, a great dinner and time to relax together as a group. I would definitely recommend this 7 day tour for those who want to see some of the Southwest, especially if you're a solo traveller (everything is taken care of) - it'll blow you away!
My wife and I went on the 7-day southwest national parks tour. We had a great time and love the tour. Every day we got to see a sight more amazing than the last. Our tour guide Mike Brown did an excellent job making sure we were well fed, well taken care of, and made it everywhere we were supposed to. It is worth noting that there is a lot of driving on the trip which is the price you pay for visiting so many places in such a short span of time. For those going on the trip, we would recommend the optional canyoneering. We went in early October which we thought was a great time to go because it wasn't so hot but it did get quite cold some nights.
If camping logistics and long driving is a nightmare for you, then you might as well consider this Tour. They specialize on the American Southwest - which I have not been to until last week. Our guide/driver for the 7-day camping trip was Mike, a well-traveled chap who knew a lot of stuff about Utah & Arizona. Trip organization was meticulous, tents were high-end, the van was clean & well-maintained, even the camp food was decent. But best of all, I got to experience a lot of great memories - one of which was tackling the formidable Angel's Landing in Zion National Park. I came on this trip alone but left with newfound friends! It is definitely worth booking a trip!
Together with a friend we made the tour for 7 days at Bryce, Zion, Canyonlands, Arches, Monument Valley, etc. To Grand Canyon. Punctuality and responsibility in all activities, beautiful places visited, the freedom to choose between different alternatives trekking according to the capacity of each person, very good meals, and Joel, extremely responsible guide providing entertaining stories when traveling in the van makes this tour something highly recommended. I totally recommend it.
I had a great time on the 7 day southwest national parks trip. Our tour guide was awesome, super knowledgeable and great fun and really made the trip. We fit so much in to the 7 days but it also felt like we had lots of time to explore each park. The campsites were great and the food was delicious - all made by fellow campers. I would highly recommend this trip
This 7 Day tour of National Parks is so well worth it. We went from Las Vegas and hiked, camped and photographed Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon. Best of all we didn't have to drive - thanks to Mike Brown as our tour leader - and he could advise on best hikes, good photo opportunities and how to set up our camp!
August is hot - mostly around 80F - (did we get to 127' F when we walked over the Hoover Dam road?) - but we also had cool nights and fantastic star filled skies.
Tents were easy to setup and take down with plenty of room - and two doors so you could set a door each for easy access. We cooked most of our evening meals - reasonable variety - and sampled excellent Navajo Tacos at Monument Valley.
Some early mornings to see the sunrise, or to get on a hike before it got hot, but plenty of time to catch up on rest in the van later on. Good sunsets over Arches, Canyonlands and Monument Valley.
If you want to see these National Parks and you're happy to camp, this is a brilliant way to go.
Thanks Mike - you did a brilliant job looking after us and giving us all the extra stories, history and ecology.
Very well organized. Our guide/driver Mike Brown was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. Highly recommend this trip, wish we would have done it sooner! Will certainly look at other tours in the future.
This tour was great. We got to see amazing national parks and had great food. We got amble amount of time to see the parks, and the camp sites are great. Mike brown was an amazing your guide and was knew everything about the parks and places we were driving too. Our food was great and the people I met on our tour were amazing. Not to mention the amazing national parks, unbeatable scenery especially in monument valley where your campsite is right next to the monument. Amazing sunrises and sunsets.
What an incredible experience" I was grateful to see so many amazing places in seven days camping trip. I was lucky to have time with people from UK, Germany, Washington D.C, Korea, NJ, Boston, and NY. We helped each other when setting up and putting down the tent, preparing meals, and encouraged each other when it was hard to hike up trails. First time experience of sleeping in a tent, traveling alone, taking a shower in 6 minutes in Moab, and getting up at 4:40 AM to see the sun rising. It was breath taking sceneries in every moment and I am glad to pick this tour. Justin, tour guide, went above and beyond to make this tour successful. I can't say thank him enough. I highly recommend this trip to everyone.
"I did the 7-day-tour SouthWest Highlights from 15 to 21 May 2016. It has been one of the best experiences of my life! I have seen otherworldly landscapes, met people from all over the world (8 nationalities represented), and taken part in activities I thought I would never do, like a Hummer tour or Canyoneering. As a funny anecdote, several trip mates and I were discussing which was our preferred moment of the whole week. And nobody was able to choose less than 5. Now going into the technical the absolute pros of this tour are the following:
1. Tour guides are very knowledgeable. Mine (Joel Clark) not only knew a whole lot about every place we were visiting, but he also played the guitar and read poems about the West. 2. It is a camping tour. Expect healthy people from ages 20 to 70, eager both to get up at 5AM to catch a sunrise and to stay late drinking around a campfire. 3. If you see the miles per day you will be doing in this tour, and you compare it to other companies such as TrekAmerica, Green Tortoise, Contiki... you realize mos of the time you will be IN THE PARKS, not in the van rushing from one place to another. I am very happy with the few time we spent driving!
I took the 7 day Southwest Campingtrip and without doubt I can say that I had the best week of my life. It was the mix (of age, culture, origin) that made our travel group so unique and thanks to our great tour guide Justin we became a little family in one week. Putting up tents together, cooking in a group and sharing unforgettable experience made the time in the group special. The scenery of the National Parks is breathtaking and the well organised structure of the tour gives as much time to explore the parks as possible without getting to stressful. Justin did everything in his power to make it an unforgettable trip and as he always said "we'll make it work" - he did!! I can highly recommend this tour. It is worth it every dollar.
This was 7 day/6 night camping trip to that took us from Zion Canyon, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument, Grand Canyon and a lot more. We had a tour guide that exceeded the expectations of every single person on the trip. His name was Justin. He knew so much and provided an amazing education of the natural beauty and geological characteristics of the land. And, he was a real nice guy. This trip was fantastic because of the camaraderie of the group fostered by Justin, a powerful combination. If you can, ask for Justin ,he'll make the trip over the top. Take this trip while you can
Tour was very well organized and planned everything in detail. Our guide, Justin, was a third-generation expedition leader and took care of us as if we were family. I cannot praise him enough. Our group of 13 campers included 4 Americans, several Brits, and a delightful mix of other foreign-born travelers. All were stronger hikers than us but we had a great time as well. This trip is great for active hikers looking to visit a lot of places in a short amount of time. We very much enjoyed the optional additional activities of the Hummer tour and the canyoneering outing as well--don't skip these!
I believe this may be the best trip I've had! My favorite parts were Zion, Bryce, and Arches National Park. I loved everyone in my group and Vern was an awesome tour leader! Great trip at a great price. I highly recommend it!
As a way to see several National Parks in south Utah - Arizona region, this was an excellent tour. Our tour leader, Vern, made every effort to make sure we did things that fit the weather, our level of hiking experience and tastes. The result was that we saw so many things in a relatively short time, had a lot of fun as a group, did many satisfying hikes and had enjoyable camping experiences. I couldn't recommend this tour group highly enough.
Spectacular scenery and fantastic hikes to beautiful locations. It's a great way to get a taste of some of our most unique and scenic parks. Our guide, Vern, was knowledgeable and fun-loving and it made this great trip even better!
Spectacular itinerary, perfectly laid out with the ideal arc to the experience, starting with more hiking at the beginning, then to leisurely strolls and group activities during second half of the week. It saves the best for last (Grand Canyon) but Bryce and Monument Valley (especially the latter) were unexpectedly astounding. Remarkable how much was packed into one week. The downside to that is that self pacing is required. Also be prepared to roll up your sleeves and work an hour or two each day on camp tasks like set up, breakdown, load and unload, cooking and cleaning. If you like camping and national parks, you will likely love this tour. Take the optional helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon, not cheap but definitely worth it.
