    The National WWII Museum

    The National WWII Museum, formerly known as the D-Day Museum, is a military history museum located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, on Andrew Higgins Drive between Camp Street and Magazine Street. The museum focuses on the contribution made by the United States to Allied victory in World War II.

    Mardi Gras World

    Mardi Gras World (also known as Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World, MGW) is a tourist attraction located in New Orleans. Guests tour the 300,000 square foot working warehouse where floats are made for Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans.

    The Cabildo

    During colonial times, this building was the seat of the local government. A national historic landmark, the main chamber is a courthouse. The building is part of one of the Louisiana State Museums.

    1850 House

    Visit the oldest apartment houses in the United States at the 1850 House and State Museum.     Longue Vue House and Gardens

    Founded by philanthropists Edith Rosenwald Stern and Edgar Bloom Stern, Longue Vue House and Gardens is a multifaceted historic estate featuring a world-class house museum and eight acres of stunning gardens that include an interactive Discovery Garden for children of all ages. Described as New Orleans' most beautiful home, the estate is open to the public seven days-a-week for tours, event rental and educational programming.

    Old US Mint / The Louisiana State Museum

    This stunning Greek Revival style building is one of the most significant buildings in American history. The Old US Mint started minting in 1838 until 1909, and over its history served both as US and Confederate Mint. Now it’s the home of fascinating museum which features exhibitions ranging from New Orleans Jazz, to Newcomb Pottery and the Mississippi and the history of Louisiana.

    New Orleans Pharmacy Museum

    The New Orleans Pharmacy Museum is housed in the 1823 creole apothecary of America’s first licensed pharmacist, Louis Dufilho, Jr. (licensed 1816). Visitors can explore two floors of exhibits highlighting the history of 19th Century pharmacy, medicine and healthcare in New Orleans. The historic courtyard also includes a medicinal herb garden which is another fascinating insight into the huge evolution modern medicine has undergone.

    Presbytere / Louisiana State Museum

    The Presbytere is one of the buildings in New Orleans belonging to the Louisiana State Museum and anyone with a keen eye will see that it was designed to match the Cabildo, another one of New Orleans’ historic buidlings. The Presbytere was built on the site of a residence of Capuchin monks, and was originally called Casa Curial, or ‘Ecclesiastical House’.

    San Francisco Plantation House

    San Francisco Plantation House is one of the most popular historical attractions in New Orleans and Louisiana. Built in 1854 by a wealthy plantation owner, it now welcomes over 100,000 people a year who flock to see this stunning landmark in the history of the sugar trade and creole culture.

    Edgar Degas House

    The Edgar Degas House was the home and workplace of Edgar Degas during his five‐month sojourn from France. This was notably the only US journey made by any French painter of the Impressionist period.
